Though most kids nowadays would go running down the street at the sight of Charlie Duncan, he wasn’t always the tough and cocky boy that he is known to be now. Having an abusive father when he was a kid definitely was not easy, especially since his mother walked out on him and his father when Charlie was merely four years old. Over time, he made a habit out of collecting his anger and taking it out on something (or someone) else. Because of his rough and rocky past, Charlie has a lot of trouble opening up to others, not to mention that he usually puts off more personal questions aside. But, what most don’t know about Charlie is how genuine and passionate he is once you get to know him – he just wishes that someone would be there for him, too.

I can understand that. I usually stay warm and preoccupied by training someplace if I can’t train in the arena. How else would you busy yourself?

Depends, I like to go running it helps get rid of some pent up aggression. I've come to like reading but it's not easy to get reading in at home so I usual go down to this park near by place. I basically do any kind of work I can get.

If I’m going to keep a conversation going with someone I’d like to know whether the outcome will be good or bad. I tend to avoid the ones that will have a bad outcome. I was taught not to waste any time.

Just imagine how many friends a person could have if they ignored the assumptions they made before the relationship even had a chance to start. We’d probably all be friends right about now. {He ran a hand through his hair before crossing his arms.} It’s mostly just about noticing how a person carries themselves. The way a person carries themselves can say a lot about them.

I see, I'm willing to take the chance, but I can see why you don't. There are times at the end of a conversation I wish I had just walked away when I had the chance. Can't enjoy every ones company.

I don't know about everyone being friends, there are times are assumptions are right, just like you proved earlier. [Cocking his head slightly to the side with a sly smirk] Go ahead and tell me what you thought before we spoke, your assumptions based on how I carried myself. "Earl Grey is my personal favorite," she smiled and looked up at him. "You like tea too?" It surprised her because not many people she met actually liked tea.

"Yeah, some times coffee is just so strong." He replied opening his menu to get one last glance before giving his order to the waitress. "Uh, I'll take the Chicago special, bacon, my eggs over hard and sourdough bread please." Handing his menu over to the server waiting for Katrina to order before speaking, "So, besides tea what else do you like?"

That’s why you stay indoors with a good heat source. Though both the act of snow and the aftermath is really beautiful. It’s an act of nature.

Because of this temper that everyone seems to think you have, right? {He nods his head.} Yeah pretty much; I like to get a feel for people before I decide to further the conversation. Saves a lot of time I think.

I don’t think it’s just you that people tend to assume with; everyone makes assumptions of anyone that they meet. It’s kind of like an automatic response. I’m sure you made assumptions of me before we even started to talk. {He arched a brow smugly.} No offense but anyone that’s not from my faction doesn’t seem to give off the smart vibe. I still think I was right about some of the things I said.

Yes, but I've realized some people have a hard time moving past those assumptions to get to know the person; and I'm not just talking about me. [He chuckled softly at Louis vibe comment] I see, so you can just tell who is smart by just feeling their smart or lack of vibrations?

Many people had been commenting about what she drank and as much as she didn’t care about their weird stares and opinions, a few select people make her feel self conscious with Charlie happening to be one of them. "And it’s not the same kind either. There are different flavors."

"That's interesting," Closing his menu setting it down on the table top, "So, what is your favorite type of tea? Green? Herbal? White? I personally like the blends, it's like getting the best of both worlds."
