It was around the early morning. The time would approximately be around 8 in the morning. While not too late in the day, some late risers would concede that it would be too early, especially if some people had prior plans. And yet, it didn't stop one particular rabbit from making her appearance known. It didn't matter how obnoxious she was.
But before we get to her, we come to find the most recent member of the Misfit Critters, reading alone in what looked like his private study. Cosmic was simply minding his business, book in one hand as he contemplated thoughts to himself. It's a mystery of what he could be thinking.. though if it's so deep that he was using a book to distract himself, it didn't seem to be working.
Though, if one distraction couldn't help, another one would. Unfortunately, it would be whether he liked it or not. Very suddenly, a very excited looking Ivory burst into his room, proclaiming her arrival. Although briefly startled, the cat covered one of his ears in irritation at how loud she was being.
"Ivory, what are you doing here?"
"Why else? I came here to hang out with you, remember?"
"..We aren't meant to stargaze until night. It's too early for this."
Unfortunately for Cosmic, as this is what she had to say afterwards, which really tested his patience.
"I know, but what's the harm in coming early?"
This seemed to really anger him, eliciting a glare from the feline as he stared the lop eared bunny down with a look of impatience. She immediately backpedaled, immediately realizing that maybe.. just maybe struck a cord that she wasn't supposed to. She gets her answer in his next few words.
"..My patience, that's what. It's way too early in the morning, and I prefer my solitude at this time. Now, tell me what you want before I show you the door."
As calm as he sounded, she could almost feel the intense aura coming off of him. She had to think of a way to get out of this before he kicked her out.
Fortunately, the bunny did have one thing she was curious about that she could change the subject with.
"H-Hold on! I actually came here because I wanted to ask you something."
"W-Well, do you know about the Guardians by any chance?"
As soon as that word registered in his head, his expression went from anger to surprise, momentarily left frozen by the words. His eyes darted to the floor, unsure what to say to her. After about 5 seconds, he replied to her with a question of his own.
"The Guardians you said? Isn't that just a bed time fairytale for little kids?"
"Yes! Wait no- that's not just a story! People still talk about them as they grow up! Heck, there's even theorists and researchers on the subject! So, tell me what you know!"
There was another pause, the rabbit face being littered with a puzzled look as the cat took another pause. Though, after a quick huff of breath, it looked as though his composure was back to normal. But why? It was just a simple question. He gave her a neutral stare, before motioning her to a nearby chair.
"Sit down. I'll see what I can tell you."
