About M/S/F/T AID Misfit Aid exists to empower communities impacted by poverty, disaster and humanitarian crisis. We became the non-for-profit arm of Sydney based surfboard manufacturer Misfit Shapes in 2010. Since then, we have taken over 100 volunteers - Misifts of Change - to countries including Samoa, Fiji, Chile, Mexico and Peru focusing on community development. Misfit Aid partners with like-minded organisations around the world to provide community led empowerment of global neighbourhoods. Our goal is not to fix something and leave, our goal is to implement community programs and initiatives that empower, resource and equip locals to improve their lives. As a community of Misfits, we place value on three things: 1) community empowerment as guided by local needs and circumstances. 2) local and in-country partnerships that empower best practice for community progress. 3) our volunteers - creating an opportunity for them to be socially responsible and culturally aware as they empower and actively serve communities in need using their various skills and abilities. This blog is a documentation of the work Misfit does, and the amazing experiences that everyone involved with Misfit gets to live. We look forward to the future of Misfit Aid and are stoked to have your support! Thank you from the entire M/SF/T AID team!!!

Insta Video. In support of our “Misfits of Change” Supporter Campaign, we have also released a new Vimeo clip of last November’s trip to Chile, in which Misfit Aid Co-Founder/ Director Jeff Ryan @jeffro01 shares on the heart of a Misfit Aid volunteer. It was edited by our good friend Aaron Hughes @_inyourshadow of Christian Surfers International @cs_int and shows firsthand the culture of what it means to be a ‘Misfit Of Change’ To view, visit our website, or click on the link on our Facebook profile page #misfitsofchange
