Plush fails

These are some fails

The first one I messed up while I was stitching and the whole to flip it was too small to flip it also maybe plan it instead of making the legs and arms all together maybe separated it so with the second attempt I decided I wanted to stitch a face but I didn't realise how big I made it but I decided to go on despite how weird I found it and cuz the face already looked messy I just made it look more messy by using a glue gun and keeping the edges uneven with strings poking out.

However I still don't like it It just looks very wrong to me and its too blue to me.

And also I tried to do the body and stitch the legs and arms later but because it looked to weird I just thought I'd just give it a small thin tail.

Logos that contains wings

Most logos that contain wings are for cars this is probably the only one I was able to find and as you can tell it is a bit old and looks like a painting.

I get why most movies probably wouldn't use wings as it would mean something magical for kids and if you want to do something for kids it's better to have a nice castle or a boy on a moon as it's more dreamy.

I also get why its mostly used for cars flying is a way of "transport" for birds and it gives a nice fast look for the cars.

I still want to use wings as it would be unique and I also really wanted to use wings after being inspired by a few images.

About the Sony logo it looks like a painting and not something you'd see in a movie logo it also makes the movie look antique and maybe something cartoony for kids.

The background really dark but it makes the pegasus but I still think they could have used different colours/shades but it does give you somewhere to look at.

Plush

So for my plushie I ended up just making something simple as I couldn't make what I originally wanted so I thought a cute little octopus would be great and simple to do.

So I first started by doing a little rough sketch of what I wanted him to look like after this I drew the body and a leg which is all I really needed now if you look the body is longer so I could fold it in half and have a little hole under him as I wanted to put black fabric so it looked a bit silly but it ended up being really useful too put the legs.

After the sketch I cut it around and pined it to the fabric I did the body twice and the legs eight times.

Then stitched the two parts of the body together and the same with two parts of the legs (did this with the rest) and left a hole so I can fit stuffing in.

With the body when I was stuffing it I flipped the rest of the body inwards then stitched the hole and stitched the holes on the legs.

With the body I flipped I shoved the legs there and stitched it together and drew a face on it.

Logos

I love this logo this logo is so nice and simple and the little animations it normally comes with it can be very creative.

The colour also goes with the little animations as blue is a calm colour and the little animation of him fishing is really calm.

This logo also tends to be quite fitting for every movie that it plays on (they sometimes add little easter eggs on this logo which is really sweet).

I feel like this company knew what they wanted as in what movies were they going to play as like I said it fits all the movies but at the same time it feels like it can limit you too as when you see this logo you think of Shrek, How to train your dragon, home, etc...but they probably only planned on doing movies for kids so it doesn't limit them that much.

This one is kind of similar to Dreamworks and I feel the same way about this as dreamworks however Disney has been improving their logo from time to time so the current logo for Disney isn't as simple as this one but still has the same animation a little start flying over it

As you can see it's not more purplish which makes it more dreamy but I think this again can limit people a lot yes its a company again only for kids but if one day they wanted to switch up a little bit I feel like it would be hard for them to do (not that they would want to)

I prefer the latest one as the star leaves little sparkles to fall which makes it really dreamy and you can tell what audience this is for which is always really useful and it just looks more sweet than the one before, you can also see how much work they put into to it and it was honestly worth it.

This logo makes it seem like this movie seem like it's going to be vintage and have action (which would make it more limited unlike Dreamworks and Disney as they only thing they have to focus on is "will kids enjoy this? " as for this one I feel people will expect something more vintage with a lot of action which is more limited than "will kids enjoy this?").

This logo isn't simple which is a nice difference but it can affect the movie because I see this I think of action and if the movie doesn't really have that I will be somewhat disappointed. For example if you see Doctor sleep it's alright but it doesn't have as much action as this logo makes me feel it will but it does look vintage so it does fit somewhat but it still made me disappointed.

Plush pictures

Some pictures I took of my plush I wanted to put him on a pink slime but I didn't know where to find that so I just look for other places and took pictures of him.

I like how the first one ended up because it looks like he is hiding and he has a shy look to him so I thought it really suited him.

Maybe once I get or make pink slime I might take a better picture for the plush.

Julie Taymar

I don't know how to feel about this it looks a bit weird but magical at the same time.

It's beautiful and the detail she puts in to make matching outfits or just pattern that fit the animal and the clothes seems like a lot of work to go for that's why it looks so magical but at the same time it's not everyday you see people using themselves as puppets.

You need to be really balanced for the giraffe I'd say just looks a bit scary but another thing is the giraffe from far away looks pretty but when you see the person it looks really weird however the cheetah look really cool I like how it was made (not how the person is there as it makes it look a bit weird) and how you can move it I mean it is a puppet.

You can tell she puts a lot of work into he work as you need to thinm the pattern, clothes and will it be able to move? Will a person be able to stand on this and not fall?.

That's probably again why it looks "magical" as you can see all the work she puts into it and it is something you don't see everyday which again makes it really nice (but a bit weird up close).

Suicide Squad

Starts dark showing you some random clips

Then show you a woman having dinner and talking to another person basically talking you through the whole trailer also slowly goes to Harley dancing until you see her face

Then the woman who was having dinner starts talking about the squad and their mission and as she's talking about them it shows their faces one by one until right at the end it show the whole team.

It's starts using sentence at the end.

I really like this trailer it makes it seem like the movie is going to be good and full of action or some cool mission till you realise what the mission is and how it doesn't really make sense... The clips are really nice all with the same colour scheme (a greenish) and making it more dramatic and the light only appears when the woman talking to us appears and at the end when the whole team is together which is a really nice touch.

All I really want to take from this trailer is how they used the colour scheme I want to do something similar but with blue and red.

All hallows eve

It all start with this call and as they are talking it shows you little clips so it starts really calm and they have two colour schemes one orange and a bit of blue and the other one is shades which is a really nice touch.

Here you can see the second colour scheme with the clown it's nicer as it will keep you at edge knowing the clown will appear after this it's start fading to back words/sentences start flashing by with clips and shows you some "scary" parts that happen in the movie

And goes back to focusing on the call and how there is a clown following the the other person (that's on the call with the main character).

It's only a minute long but I feel like it showed way to many clips but the good thing is it's not in order as in they put the beginning of the movie on the beginning of the trailer and on the end of the trailer so you're only really spolied on the beginning and a few "attacks".

I really like how the call was used as an audio and it just takes you to the rest of the trailer.

Moodboard

This is just to show what colours I might want to use and this also has some props I want to put on my demon like a skull, lollipop, etc...

I was thinking I might wanted his skin to be a light grey but I'm starting to think a redish and orangey skin would be perfect and I want to try and make the eyes bright yellow so it pops out more but still fits the colour scheme.

I want to add symbols and strings so my demons looks more "manipulative" or like some sort of trap the string I would like to use would probably be red or purple.

Maybe add some black around his mouth to try and add some more little details to improve the demon a little bit more.

So that's what I'm thinking so far about.

Board piece

This is the board piece I made for my demon as he's going to use someone as a puppet I thought this would be perfect and the symbol on the characters chest means bad luck so I decided to add it there as a little prop (The one with just the symbol on it was not me was made by two other people, they were making other pieces that represented the original one and that's the one they did for me).

Because of this piece I'm planning on adding the symbol on the actual doll the tiny one and the demon.

I wanted the demon to be curious of people so he is kind of using a person as a puppet/toy to find out more about people(which will make the player tangled on the strings and lose a turn).

I used a sponge for the background I wanted to make a gradient but it didn't end up as bright as I want it but I still quite like it as I was trying to keep it simple I just wanted more purple/redness to come out of him so it would make it a bit more tense but I'm still proud about it.

My Demon

So I ended up taking the mask off because I really wanted to give him a lollipop and 3 eyes (I put the mask behind his head).

I still think I could've done better and that the biggest mistake I did was making the head to big but it was too late to try and change it and I didn't want to waste a lot of time redoing it.

I want to see how this goes after I paint it I hope it doesn't end up too bad and somewhat good and also If I ever do this again I'll probably make a wig and buy eyes as I needed a lot of help with the hair even though I was making separate lines and trying my best to make it look like actual hair it still kind of looked like I scrapped it instead of making separate lines and the eyes are popping out which really bothers me but it is a demon so I guess it adds that monster look.

I'm still deciding what colours is he going to be I was thinking using grey tones then orange/red but I'm still deciding what would fit him best as he looks nothing like what I wanted but before that I need to finish sanding him as his arms are a bit bumpy and if I painted with the bumps there it would be even more noticeable.

Moodboard

This is cinematography (red and blue) this is the type of style I'm going for on my trailer.

I choose red and blue as they're colours that can make something look more tense and they are colours that contrast with eachother as red is an aggressive colour and blue is a calm which makes it nicer to look at.

The reason I'm using colour is not only is nicer to look at but it is a bit different as I've seen some trailers and I feel like a lot of them don't use this even though it would make it look way more interesting for example Suicide Squad the trailer looks amazing and use scenes with similar lighting (and it made it look better than it actually was) unlike Sonic the hedgehog they change the lighting and colours quite a lot (but because of Sonic "electricity" it's not that noticeable).

So I want to try and use red an blue to make the trailer nicer to look at at least and cooler than it actually is.

My demon

This is my little creature so far and I honestly would like to restart it but its too late it's probably because of how big I made the circle for his head I should have made it smaller ( I wanted the original thing more complicated but I was scared I wouldn't have to much time so I wanted to do like a little simple figurine).

Not only do I think the head is too big I think I made the actual thing to small as now I have to do super tiny hands which will probably take a long time.

Even though I don't like most things about this I am proud of the pose because it looks exactly how I wanted it which is a plus on this whole thing.

I gave him a mask because I thought it would look cool but I really want to add a little face to him as it looked like fun and also on the drawing my character has a lollipop and a plaster on his nose and I really wanted to keep it .

My next step is to finish his hair by smoothing it and adding little lines, fix the clothes give it more folds and make it look like he is wearing something and his hands. (I might add some scars and some other things to his face but I don't fully know yet.)

How to add effect/transitions?

Get your clip

Go on the editing tab its on top near “assembly” (should be the one you have) after this on your left right corner should be your clips and on top should say the name of your project to the right of that there should be other things like “effect” click on there ( if your screen is too small you might need to click the arrow on the top right of that little window)

Look around when you see something that caught your eye drag it to the video ( if it is a transitions you need to drag it to the start or the end of the clip )

you can change the setting of the effect on the top left window (if it is also on the “effects” tab.

How to add audio?

Open the file with the sound you want to use and just drag it in

If you change your mind select it and click backspace (on your keyboard)

Should disappear.

Or if you want to take the audio from a clip get that clip

Select them and unlink them first

and after this you should be able to select either the clip or the audio

Click on the audio

Then clear (or just select it then click backspace on your keyboard).

How to cut? (and Stabilise)

First add your video and drag it to the timeline

If you're video comes with sound and you don't want to affect it you can right click it and click unlink to unlink them if you want to cut both at the same time don't do this)

and if you grab one of the sides (if you want to cut the start go to the left of the timeline of your video the end is the other way around ) once you get to one of the sides your mouse should change and if you drag it will make it shorter which means you have cut a bit of your clip.

If your video is a bit shaky you can stabilise it

You first need to make sure you are in the “ editing “ tab this should be on the top near “ assembly” once you switch ( if your tabs aren't customised) there should be your clips on the left corner (which means you are in your video project) on top of that little screen there should say “effect” (if your screen is small you might need to click the arrow on the right top corner of the little tab which will show you more options and “effect” should be there .

It will load for awhile but then your clip should be stabilised by the end.

Logo 2

This is my logo so far.

I really like neon lights so I did my best to change the lighting and on my animation it will flutter, after it closes as it opens it will show the name “ Midori” and as it looks like neon light I want to make it flicker as I think it will be a little extra and a really nice touch.

the red string it just cuz I wanted a bit of colour to it and red string as I know in some places people will tie a red string on their finger ti keep a promise or to remember something so I thought it would be a nice touch to it.

I haven't written the tittle as I still don't know what the of font I want and if it will be neon or if it has something extra to it so that is my second step after doing the animation of the wings.
