Sex work is not and has never been empowering. I need all of you who say corny shit like “a blow job is better than no job!!” To shut the fuck up. Stop glamorizing this shit. Sex work and the porn industry is mostly trafficking, kidnap, or rape. And is it really a choice to become a sex worker when it’s either that or you and your kids starve to death? No it’s not. Is it empowering that you’re playing into a violent fantasy for some fucked up guy?? Shut up. It’s RARELY EVER a choice. Porn creates false ideas of sex and often the target audience is YOUNG men who don’t yet know what sex is realistically. They grow up thinking it’s violent and create fake expectations. It’s not empowering. Behind the scenes it’s all drugs, abuse, and depressing.

one of the myriad things that I vehemently want the 5th wave of feminism to achieve is getting pornography and prostitution/sex work banned from the face of this planet. like get every porn site wiped off from the internet. and yes that includes getting rid of the OF too. we've seen enough of the capitalisation of sex or precisely of women & young girls. I mean after a noticeably exponential increase in the cases of sex/child trafficking from the past many years, it leaves us no choice but to eradicate it once and for all.

I find it so ironic when men make statements like ‘we fought the wars’, ‘we gave you rights’, ‘we invented the phone you’re using’ etc like.. so when it’s something you want to take credit for it’s fine to generalise men as a whole group but as soon as someone brings up rape, murder, assault etc and how men commit majority of those crimes it’s suddenly ‘not all men’ ? Right okay so now you’re individuals and can’t take credit for the entirety of your demographic?

what women call doing it for the plot is really just delaying their own good by entertaining men who half-meet their requirements

you'll end up catching feelings, heartbroken, sniffling on your way to your therapist

what starts off as a "for the plot", ends up a 5 year relationship where you become attached to someone you should have never given a chance to begin with

go ahead and do yourself a favor and date with PURPOSE

but if your grown GROWN, you need to be strict with who you let into your life, your "cut off" game needs to be strong

you're never going to meet the man you want because you're too busy doing side quests and taking detours entertaining walking red flags because it's fun

unlike men, who never really "grow" in love, but know from day one whether you are their type or not

women can very well "grow" in love

if you stay long enough in a relationship, if you entertain someone long enough, it doesn't matter if he's your physical type or not, he WILL grow on you and you will become attached

unless you're a a cold hearted next level manipulator, i'd say do yourself a favor and treat your time and energy as precious ressources only reserved for the elite!
