Lady bug lady bug, fly away home... #nature
Ok so being a transplant to this area has its down falls. One is that you donât know what the local customs are. For example: LBJ. I had NO idea what it wasâŠuntil tonight. So LBJ stands for little brown jug. So what, you sayâŠwell to those who grew up around here itâs a HUGE rivalry between Big Spring and Shippensburg. The jug is coveted along with the bragging rights of the winning team. This has been going on since 1956. The âjugâ is marked with the year and the score of each game, then displayed in the winners trophy case.  The school held their annual LBJ pep rally tonight.  All of the sports teams showed up in support.  The bon fire was lit, followed by the parade through Newville.  What a great way to show TEAM/SCHOOL spirit.  Good Luck Big Spring.  Get back the Little Brown Jug!!!!
Big Spring Band
Tons of fall fun: Tolliver Falls; Deep Creek Lake; Family pumpkin picking at Paulus' Farm; 4 wheeling at Mimi's; Fall leaves; Courts cheering section at the CV competition; Muddy Creek Falls.
đCheck, check. While sporting my new fall hair color, I shot a pic of my boot while crunching in the fall leaves; then drank an Oktoberfest. Iâm totally a white girl! đ
Panoramas of Deep Creek Lake, scenic over looks at Friendsville and McHenry; Selfie at Deep Creek Lake; Floyd and I at the Tolliver Falls; My boot in the fall leaves; The Virgin Hemlocks at Swallow Falls; Stairs from the falls; Water droplet on the rocks; Italian Lava cake from Pucciniâs (washed down with Oktoberfest); Falls colors.
Day trip'n in MD
Due to some unforeseen circumstances...one being my new fashionable foot attire, the camping trip to VA was out. We wanted to make the most of the time off so we decided to still play tourists. Floyd and I packed a cooler with lunch and took off with a handful of pamphlets and a map. We had an idea of where we were headed but no plan. We flew by the seats of our pants all day. When we approached a new city we checked the guide book for attractions that caught our eyes. We had a great day exploring, in-spite of the music selection. <insert inside joke regarding my taste in music> And the waterfalls and leaves were beautiful! Can't wait for the next road trip. đ
Medieval Times
We wanted to end our little vaca with a nice dinner out. Whatâs better then a place you can eat with your hands! When I booked our reservation I seen that you could have a knighting ceremony. I thought Cam would get a kick out of it. Court was happy to help distract him as I picked out his sword. Right before the show the king knighted Lord Cameron. Then it was show time. The cheers and boos began as we supported our assigned colored knightâŠwe had the black and white knight. As the show progressed our knight was in the lead. He beat out all the other knights and then defeated the bad guy. Hip hipâŠhooray!!!!!
I now pronounce you Lord Cameron...

The dolphin encounter
A little while ago Cam asked if he could swim with the dolphins. With starting the new job, I was not able to take a full vacation. So I started doing some research on places that were close to home. I found the dolphin encounter at the Baltimore aquarium. I hoped that getting to play with the dolphins would suffice for the time being. I booked it. Iâm not sure who was more excitedâŠexcept for the mass panic that we would not make it on time. We finally found the security door and the party was waiting for us. SURPRISE! We got our tour behind the scenes, watched the dolphin show, then we got to play. Our dolphin was Spirit. We got to pet her, talk, and play. The kids were so excited and had a great time. What an awesome experienceâŠ
