So somebody commented on one of my other posts and asked how I make the hexagon cardigan do that. The answer is it’s hexagon and if you fold it the right way it becomes half a sweater. I did not come up with this concept. I guarantee if you search crochet hexagon sweater on YouTube you will find 50,000 people who have made their own versions of it.
Basically what I do is go around until the half a sweater is wide enough at the arms and then I usually have to add a back panel and a bottom panel, and sometimes even more to the front to make it actually fit. (That’s because I am not a skinny person. Some skinny people can just make two hexagons, sew the back seam and the arm seams, and have a really cute cardigan all at once. Unfortunately, I have to do more work for that.)
This newest one is being made in scarfie light from lion brand, which is my birthday yarn this year. This color is called Seaglass. The yarn is quite quite soft and very fuzzy. It seems kind of thin when you feel it, but I’m glad I picked the size 8 H hook instead of a smaller one because the fuzz really does add some bulk to it. (The label recommends a J-10 hook, but H is my favorite.)
