Husband wisdom
After a stressful but successful day of completing assignments for uni, I'm off to the rugby to watch the Chiefs and Western Force play! Its forecast to rain and I thought I shouldn't even bother with makeup if it's going to run but really wanted too look good.. So husband says "darling I'm sure all you need is some blusher" 😍 aww love him ❤️
I've just finished my two week swing at work and flew back to Perth. I feel like had had reached an all time low because I had fallen off the healthy eating band wagon over Easter and had had a huge argument with my husband on our anniversary, essentially ruining it. On my first day back I didn't have my usual spark or zest for life, and by 9:30 was a dribbling mess.....crying because I could not figure out if I needed to go back to bed and recover or wanted to go for a drive to pick up our step son. I felt so overwhelmed and like the whole world was caving in with pressures from work, home, family, uni assignments due and excess stress from external family. Looking back on it now it's probably super pathetic. So my husband said come on, set me up in the car with a pillow and drove me down to pick up our son. We had a lunch at sizzlers together as a family. And then spent the rest of the day relaxing. And went to bed super early! I said to him I felt like I had achieved nothing today. And he said no we achieved a few things. Most importantly we looked after you and you felt better. Tomorrow is a new day. Again this morning I was getting ready to tackle a new day and was complaining that yesterday was a complete write off because I didn't get anything done. I was gently reminded that just because I didn't complete my to do list, does not mean that I had COMPLETELY FAILED ! Self care is so important. So this morning was a healthy breakfast of veggie might on gluten free toast with Avo. A trip to the orthodontist and now at uni for my lecture.
Day 2
Day two of the change and sugar cravings are stronger than ever. I have successfully completed a lot of tasks today including ✅ 4:30am start, FIFO life. ✅ Managed a productive day at work full of multitasking and problem solving. ✅ Turned down drinks to study and managed to finish the chapter I was reading, wrote a to do list for tomorrow and packed my bag for the morning with my uniform ready to go. Now for a cup of tea ☕️ Getting things done like a boss. Now just need to curve these cravings.
First change made 😊 3 weetbix with a banana and kiwi fruit! Coffee on the side.
Today marks change
Today marks me wanting to make a change. Changing my life with healthy eating, studying successfully, exercising and getting shit done. I weighted myself tonight and I am only one kilo away from being back at my original heaviest weight. That's 12 kilos I've gained ! And I'm not okay with it. So I'm making improvements for me and those I love in my life.

So who new you can't travel internationally unless you have 6 months or more on your passport? Certainly not me or my hubby. It's been an expensive trip but we on our way... Sydney we coming for ya✈️ pick up the passport and then off to Cambodia 🍻 drinks makes everything better ☺️👍

Staying strong
Some times life challenges you in ways that you really least expect. And it can either make you or break you they say. But how about being able to control the out come? Recently I had a situation with some one who is a kryptonite to my anxiety. They know how to make me panic and become a crumbling mess. They wanted to put me in a situation where they knew I was tired and vulnerable and they would be able to up set me. I could either go with them or put my foot down and stop the conversation right then and there and say NO. No I'm not going to be a part of your game. The sooner you shut down the person the sooner they realise how strong you are. It's taken me a long time to realise this but with practice I am proud of how far I've come 😍 Be strong Be brave Be enough for you and no one else
For the first three days of work I got to complete a vertical rescue course as a part of ERT (emergency response team). I scaled some crazy heights an had to over come the anxiety of putting faith in my team and the equipment we used. Being four stories high that's not an easy feat. But I did it ! And I'm so proud of my fears I've over come 😊
Got to head out to the Grand bar and bistro with my sister from another Mr! The weather was crap, but the girly catch ups was amazing! She even drove me home so I could have another glass of wine, and she could use my dryer! What a deal 🍷🍷 she's the best
Today I woke up positive and happy... I helped others and gave compliments, supported and encouraged. I even gave some one a much needed hug. And the old saying is true. What goes around comes around. I got a surprise from a friend on site when I got back to my donga this evening and it put a smile on my dial! Let's all take a moment to be thankful for all the precious blessings in our life
First day home in 5 weeks and I'm at my favourite cafe, studying while I wait for my favourite cousin who was also my man of honour at the wedding. Can't wait to catch up with him and eat some real food and drink REAL COFFEE!
Considering I only had 25 minutes to get ready, I have to say my wifey game was strong! After setting the house up for the party and laying out all the food I some how pulled this together in under 30 minutes including my shower! The amazing lady at the top is my sister from another Mr. She is always there to support me in those important moments and makes me laugh and we have fun! She's truly the bees knees 🐝
Did my out door area up with some cute chairs and pillows from Kmart ready for the party. The Moroccan Lanterns are full of candles and I am so ready to relax!
Happy Valentine's Day every one!! 😍 may have gone a bit over board on surprising my husband, but I love all this lovey sort of stuff. I used to be so cynical and not believe in love or romance or happily ever afters. Then my husband came along.. And for months (nearly a year) I questioned him and struggled to trust and believe that he could really love me for me. Just the way I was. And then as a surprise, for our one year anniversary he flew us to Bali on Valentine's Day! The next day we were going out for dinner and he decided it felt so right he ran off to the jewellers and got a ring! On the 15/02/2012 he asked me to marry him! And I said yes! It was the best impulse decision he's ever made and the happiness he's brought into my life is phenomenal! So a few days ago, He flew home from work and I flew out to go to work. I gave him the car keys and a kiss said enjoy baby and happy Valentine's Day and 5 years together I'll see you in a week. And that's the surprise he came home to! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️best wifey ever 💍
