Summer is here...

I felt it was about time I wrote a few words again... Time flies by so fast and I guess that means I must be having fun... The last few months have been great. FINALLY I have had visitors from home; my dad and uncle spent 2,5 weeks here and we had a great time! Also, Ola and Stine and their big extended family was in China for 10 days and I got to spend a lovely weekend with them in Shanghai... Another spring highlight must have been the Thailand trip with Hanna to celebrate Steffen's birthday - met so many fantastic people and had a great time! :-)

I also had 2 great weeks in the US. It was lovely to see Ozlem again in San Francisco, spent a few relaxing days with her and her kids - perfect! Can't wait until next time!!

Houston and OTC is always crazy... Dinner, parties, networking, meetings... Puh... I ended up with a bad cold, so the week could have been better, but that's life I guess... It is hard to recover while trying to keep up with all the events, so I was still sick when I came to Lone and her family in San Diego. Had a great weekend with them, a part from the fact that I spent all day on Sunday (Mother's Day) in bed with a fever while everyone else spent time by the neighbours' pool, soaking up the californian sun, drinking champagne and enjoying themselves... :-( Oh well, can't win them all. It was still good to see Lone, Ed, Jonas, Marlin and Henrik again - miss you guys!

Last couple of weeks have been busy with work, and we had a very nice team-building trip to Hangzhou... I am truly blessed with a great team here in China and they are constantly growing, learning and becoming independent and confident. I am so proud of them...

Next week I am heading to Malaysia for one week. Several meetings and hectic schedule, but I also look forward to catching up with Ingunn :-) In June I am going home to Norway for 2 weeks - can't wait! Work, Norwegian Wood, family, friends - and hopefully lovely Norwegian summer weather... The rest of the summer until end of August, I have planned to be as much as possible in China... So we will see how long I can last without going crazy this time... :-D Lot of great things to look forward to; will also be in Norway in August/September, then Brazil and then Hawaii. Finally going back to Hawaii, 15 years after I graduated... Crossing my fingers nothing goes wrong this time, so I can actually make it!! :-) Stay tuned for more adventures to come... :-)

Australia - mitt paradis...

Nå er det veldig lenge siden jeg har skrevet noe her på "bloggen", så jeg følte at det var på tide. De siste månedene har vært tøffe med sykdom, men etter tre uker i Perth så føler jeg meg frisk og fin igjen! Sol og fantastiske omgivelser har vært medisin for kropp og sjel... Det er så deilig livstil her nede, og for hver gang jeg er her så blir jeg bare mer og mer glad i dette stedet. Perth står øverst på lista som neste stopp etter Kina - HELT KLART! :-)

Jeg leide bil (VW Golf Cabrio) i en ukes tid her nede og som vanlig får vind i håret meg i utrolig godt humør!! Både business og pleasure har vært bra her denne gangen, og jeg har virkelig nytt hvert sekund. Har også storkost meg med OL på iPaden - perfekt kveldsunderholdning! Ikke mange her som har forstått hva jeg hyler og jubler for, men pytt... Allikevel så må jeg si at det skal faktisk være litt godt å komme hjem til Kina igjen også. Og når hverdagen blir for GRÅ, så har jeg disse minnene med meg i hjertet...
