My beautiful loving other, Rita has passed away this morning. She is in peace with her parents and grandparents now. Over the last two weeks she saw them often, when the rest of us could not. We know they came to welcome her lovingly into heaven. I'm happy she is God's hands and no longer suffering here on earth. I know my faith and love for my mother are supposed to give me respite from the pain.

Yet I sit here in a place where my heart and soul are irreparably torn apart. My mother made me feel loved, without question. I knew I could turn to her with anything burdening me. So I honestly don't know how to continue in a world without her in it. I've never felt this profound sorrow before. I'm truly afraid I wont find my way out of this dark ugly place and it's fucking awful. I hope somewhere out there in this emptiness I feel, that I'll faintly hear her calling to me, telling me to be strong and to keep going.

I weep for my own pain, it's killing me inside. I weep for the pain that my three sisters, my children, all my nieces/nephews, and family members are in. This is the saddest day of my life. I feel utterly destroyed right now and as much as I tried to prepare myself for this eventuality, to harden myself to the reality of how sick she was, nothing ultimately worked.

Please keep us all in postive thoughts. We really need it at this time. I hope you all hug the ones you love and cherish your time with them. It can all be gone before you're ready to let it go, before you're ready to say goodbye.
