I have been back to working on writing the stories I mentioned in my last post, a pregnancy and birth version of well-known stories. This time, I've chosen classic fairytales. I have listed summaries below, and if you'd like, you can choose which one most piques your interest on the poll at the end. I will write them all, but this is just to gauge interest and determine an order to post them.
Often the main concept for so many popular romantic fairytale stories is "true love" and so, I decided to lean into this concept.
Snow White (Themes: Fantasy, Pregnancy, Birth)
When Snow White succumbed to the Queen's sleeping curse after a bite of her poison apple, no one knew about the child that had been conceived between Snow White and the prince, who had already been a frequent visitor for some time, always coming by to see her when the dwarves were away working at the mines. As her body lays carefully preserved in the glass case, the prince and the dwarves notice her body change at her middle, and as the pregnancy progresses, the curse weakens, eventually broken by a manifestation of true love, the birth of a child with her beloved prince.
Cinderella (Themes: Multiple Births, Fantasy, Rapid Pregnancy)
After their fated reunion, riding off in their carriage towards what they hope to be their happily ever after, Cinderella and Prince Charming are gifted a newly built castle, a full staff, along with overflowing wealth and luxury, with the condition that they produce a prince who would next inherit the throne. The couple is happy to take this opportunity to start their family, but Cinderella is desperate to fulfill her role and birth a son. Another visit from her fairy godmother may be just what she needs, and she receives a helping of magic to help her conceive a son, but what follows is so much more than what she wished for.
Rapunzel (Themes: Difficult Birth, Birth Denial, Fantasy)
A secret relationship had been going on between Rapunzel and a prince who stumbled upon the tower, lured by her singing voice. The innocent Rapunzel, locked in this tower by a sorceress, knew nothing of intimacy and sex, but the prince came every night that the sorceress was away. Rapunzel unknowingly becomes pregnant, and when the sorceress notices her belly, Rapunzel is cast out into the forest to fend for herself. In a moment of spite, the sorceress punishes her by casting a curse that would deny her birth, but when the prince finally finds her, love prevails and it allows her to deliver.
The Little Mermaid (Themes: Fantasy, Mermaid Birth)
Ariel wishes to become human to pursue Eric, a man she saved from a shipwreck. The sea witch, Ursula, agrees to transform her until the next full moon, and Ariel must marry him to make it permanent. If she succeeds, she relinquishes her voice as payment; if she fails, her voice will return, but she will transform back into a mermaid. Ariel and Eric become close and intimate, but Eric is obsessed with finding his savior, not recognizing her, so Ariel fails to marry him, returning to the sea. However, she soon realizes her body is pregnant, and frequently visits the shore, though hesitant to tell him the truth, until one day, she finds herself in labor. When Eric arrives at the beach that day, he helps her through the birth to their daughter, and her voice reveals she was the one he had been looking for all along.
Beauty and the Beast (Themes: Voyeurism, Exhibitionism)
Happily married, everyone back in their original forms, Belle and Adam expect their first child. Already heavily pregnant, Belle spends most of her time in the library, reading about pregnancy, birth, and childcare. Adam, now no longer a Beast, returns to his responsibilities overseeing the land as prince. Though they spend most days apart, they use their magic mirrors to communicate easily, but it becomes especially necessary when Belle feels herself go into labor a few weeks early. Adam rushes home as quickly as he can, but as he watches through the mirror, the baby does not have any intention of waiting, and apparently, neither does Belle.
Sleeping Beauty (Themes: Fantasy, Erotic Birth, Multiple Births)
Cursed by an evil fairy, doomed to die from a prick of her finger, Aurora’s parents do everything they can to protect her, destroying every spindle in the kingdom. Still, she is unable to escape her fate, so her guardian fairies counter the curse and she falls into deep sleep instead. With no choice but to wait for someone to break her spell, the fairies grant her life through dreams. Aurora spends her time conscious in the realm of her mind, dreaming about the man she had danced with in the woods, dreaming about being in love, and making love. To her own surprise, her fantasies escalate, dreaming about carrying his child, pleasure in every moment leading up to and every moment during the awaited birth.
