Hey lovely! What do you use on your eyebrows?? Also whats your fav perfume to wear?

I use the Hourglass blonde brow gel, and when I need them more filled out for a full makeup look I’ll shape them with a Benefit pencil :)

I’m actually in the midst of a perfume hunt lol. Feeling like wearing something new, for spring. I’m really loving two of the Gucci Bloom scents. MAC Turquatic has always been my go to perfume tho

Dear markie, im in a bit of a tricky situation and was hoping for some advice. Ive been in a rollercoaster of a relationship for the last year. Any time we get into an argument my boyfriend takes all my insecurities and uses them against me-for e.g he called me a fat whore this past fight. He has apologised and says he still loves me but i dont know whether i should take him back. What would you do if you were me? Thanks so much in advance!

Excuse my language, but I would leave his bitch ass! Anyone who uses your insecurities against you like that in a fight is literally not worth your time, love, and energy. A man should never talk to a woman like that. He’s the insecure one with a mean streak, Love is supposed to feel good. Next!

Hey girl! What perfume do u wear??

My favorite is MAC’s Turquatic, which I’ve been wearing since I was like 14 haha. Lately I’ve been wearing Ouai’s Rose Hair and Body Oil on my chest and arms, it smells so lovely and gives my skin a healthy glow. I also love Miel Bébé from Urban Outfitters and YSL Mon Paris when I’m feeling a different mood.

Thank you! I don’t consider myself to be in the best shape of my life right now haha, but I feel good about where I’m at. Right now for me, it’s all about balance. I eat pretty healthy-ish but don’t deprive myself from snacks and foods I want to eat, I workout often but not hardcore like I’m training to be on a VS runway haha, and I drink a lot of water while also enjoy having daytime cocktails by my pool or a cold glass of rosé when I watch my tv at night.

It’s summer and it’s very hot- I find myself eating less when it’s 120 degrees where I live, and I beat the heat by going to the gym average 4x a week. I’ll do 25 mins on the elliptical then do a circuit of arm workouts, squats, and ab exercises. As far as what I typically eat, I’ll have eggs & avocado toast w either my K-cup coffee or Starbucks iced skinny caramel macchiato w almond milk every morning for breakfast. Lunch I like hummus & turkey lettuce roll ups, tuna & crackers, and salads. I snack on grapes & oranges throughout the day, and make green smoothies with spinach kale & frozen mango to get some nutrients. Protein shakes after workouts if I went heavy. For dinner I eat a lot of chicken or tilapia, with roasted veggies, & quinoa.. or sushi.. or grilled chicken tacos.. or premade meals that you can grab at Trader Joe’s (I do all my grocery shopping there). But like I said, I’ll have that pizza or mac n cheese or margaritas because I don’t deprive myself. Just balance it and not overdo myself. Hope that helps!

Dear Markie, What would you do if you were being severely bullied at work? I work in a clothing store and all of the employees there make fun of my mental health issues :( and ideas would be appreciated. Thank you <3

I’m really sorry to hear you’re going through this, at work or anywhere! I’m by no means an expert or qualified to give you any real advice on this topic, but stay strong. Talk to someone. Always speak up, you are not alone and there are people who will care and help you through it. Sounds like a toxic place, maybe consider finding a new job with uplifting co-workers and a positive accepting environment! Anyone bullying you is just a person who’s incredibly insecure or sad within themself. Don’t let the negativity bring you down! 💕

Ive had that happen to me before in a past relationship, and it really gets under my skin! I find it incredible rude, immature, and counter productive. It makes things worse. I understand if he’s at work or something and wants to wait til later to talk to you, but if it’s going on days or weeks then he’s probably thinking by not talking to you you’re getting your “punishment”. It’s a mind game, and a waste of your time and energy. If he can’t sit down and work things out with you at the time then he’s not long-term material anyways. Boy bye

hey markie, i was hoping for some advice. I was recently super drunk and some guy videotaped me for his youtube channel. I said some things im not proud of. Ive asked him to take it down multiple times, but he refuses (he is sort of youtube-famous). What would you do in my situation?? Im worried about losing my job or getting denied from graduate school.

Yikes, sorry to hear that, I’m not sure! I’d say asking him to remove it is your best chance, but sounds like he’s being difficult and inconsiderate. Maybe if the things you’re filmed saying are considered offensive or inappropriate report the video and get all your friends to do so to get it taken down by YouTube? Good luck!

We had a lot mutual friends back in the day. I thought he was cute and always heard great things from everyone about him as a person, but we were both in relationships around that time so it wasn’t ever a thing. Years later we randomly connected online and went from there haha

what is your updated skincare and makeup routine like

Morning- Purity by Philosophy cleanser, Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream moisturizer, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue cream... twice week I’ll use my Vitamin C Serum from Mario Badescu mixed into my moisturizer but I wouldn’t wear it under makeup since it is a bit tacky textured and meant for night treatment apparently lol.

Night- Purity cleanser, Sunday Riley Luna Oil, wait 5 mins, Sunday Riley Good Genes, Charlotte Tilbury Eye cream.... on evenings where I feel dry and like I need some extra hydration I’ll skip the Sunday Riley products and use the Drunk Elephant LaLa. The Sunday Riley products are sort of strong depending on your skin and they’re also quite pricy, but amazing, so not using them every single night is probably better for your skin anyways based on what I’ve read!

-I love my Mario Badescu Rose Water spray throughout the day and to freshen my makeup.

-2x a week I exfoliate with Ole Henricksen Walnut Scrub

-for face masks Glam Glow Supermud, DE Baby Facial, and any little packaged sheet masks (from a skincare line I trust at least)

For makeup.... I have three different looks. I’ve been playing around with new products here and there but here’s my current go to’s:

*My “no makeup” days- Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (shade 2) applied with a damp sponge, brush eyebrows up with a clear brow gel, chapstick/balm

*Daytime/Casual- NARS pore refining primer, Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation (shade 3 or 4), NARS creamy concealer in Vanilla under eyes, Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic Powder for under eyes eyelids & t-zone, Anastasia BH Brow Wiz in Taupe, MAC clear brow gel, Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer to blend face and neck and a tad on the eyelid/crease to give them a bit of life, Benefit Hula in cheek hallows for a bit more definition, Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter tapped on top of strategic points such as nose/cheeks/temples, L’Oréal mascara, MAC Fix + setting spray, MAC Oh Honey Lip Liner, MAC Pretty Please lipstick or MAC Blankety lipstick

*Full coverage/event/evening- MAC hydrating serum primer, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation shade 5 (or) Too Faced Born This Way foundation in shade Nude or Pearl depending on my tan, Too Faced Born This Way concealer shade Swan under eyes, Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic powder under eyes & t zone, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush powder shade 2 for around the mouth/chin/forehead this is a pigmented matte powder so wouldn’t recommend any areas you like to look dewy or glowy, Benefit’s blush pallet in whatever color I’m feeling, Marc Jacobs Omega bronzer, Benefit Hula for contour, Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter down the nose and temples, I’m loving the Urban Decay Naked 2 mini pallet for eyes, ABH brow wiz Taupe, MAC clear brow gel, Marc Jacobs liquid liner, L’Oréal mascara, MAC liners either Oh Honey or Whirl, MAC lipsticks Blankety and or Myth, MAC Fix + setting spray, MAC Soft and Gentle highlight.
