Lois knew what she signed up for when she choose. Having questions is one of those things she never thought it would show up like when he returned to her. Kal always knew how to reassure her so she does not know go overthinking things. Lois smiled as she leaned in to the kiss. “You are always like that. One of the many things I love about you.”

She nodded as siting on the couch. During the wait, Lois did her part of trying to think what really happened to her and how she got here. She wants to tell him everything, Lois is always open to him so she felt so weird. When she saw her husband coming back with he food a smile came to her face. “Oh wow this looks really good.” Lois sat closer to her husband, like she will never say no. “I agree, I want time with my husband after all this time.” she said kissing his cheek before stealing one of his fries in a joking matter.

“I’m glad to hear there’s more than one reason.” Kal teased with a chuckle, before gently cupping her face in his hands. “I love you too.”

Slipping an arm around Lois’ shoulders as she sat closer, Kal hummed his agreement at how good the food looked. “I think we could even push the questions until the morning. Tonight can be time for us.” Shaking his head a little as the fry was stolen, he had a couple of his own before starting on his burger.

“Ahh, a reporter after my own heart,” he mused, his eyes drawn to her voice recorder. Clark’s head nodded, agreeing with her comment about old habits. His head cocked to the side as she introduced himself, words suddenly unavailable to him. “L-Lane? Hold on, now. Are you from here?” Here, of course, being Earth 1. While he was an alien to both his Earth and this one, he was curious if this woman was in the same boat.

“Well, that’s understandable.” He was sure if he had been though a similar experience he’d be adverse to large buildings with air conditioning too. “Your husband is right, so he’ll be relieved to hear you’ve quit.” Sipping his drink, Ray puzzled over the idea of how Lois had arrived on their version of earth. It certainly didn’t sound as straightforward as coming through a breach, or even via the speed force. “I admire your tenacity.”

“He knew what he was talking about… so he knew about the multiverse and sent you here, which means that he knew your husband was already on this version of earth.” Another thoughtful frown pulled at his brows and he wondered if the mysterious figure was sending people to their earth intentionally. Was there something coming? Some threat so large that they needed all the help they could get? “The multiverse is not common knowledge, just the theory behind it, I don’t think many people actually believe it exists.”

Well, if people heard what I said might think I watched a movie and just dreamed it and fakes everything. If I did why would I remember almost dying? Lois always thinks reporters like herself puts them out asking for trouble but what can they do when people want you to report on them only. She looked up at the male when he comment on Superman. “Well you can say I was his press agent for the longest time. Superman is undeniably so kind and selfless when it comes to others. You can say that when you first meet him, he is breathtaking and unbelievable at the same time.” Lois said as she laughed to herself. ‘Sorry for me rambling.”

Roy chuckled at her words - to any bystander it probably sounded like she had a crush on Superman, but he decided not to point it out. He could understand the appeal, really. “It’s alright, I get it. Met a few heroes in my time - seeing them in the flesh really is something.” He agreed with a small smile. “And a press agent would definitely be useful for someone in that line of work.”

It does sound like a crush when you think about, her husband just caught her eyes the moment they meet. “They are wowing when you first see them after all most only get to read their stories in newspapers or the news or however they hear about them. Seeing one in person is like a dream come true I guess you can say?” Lois said looking at the male. “It’s not a bad thing really, but it did got to the point it was my whole career even if I wanted to report on something very important it was pushed to someone else as I covered Superman.” Lois said knowing what happened when that did happen when he returned to everyone from him not returning for years. “Your are the biggest target to those who are trying to get to him as well so there are the dangerous but am still alive.” Lois said with a light chuckle, she is sure alive since she put herself first to save herself. Death to Lois was like a restart in life, one time she did the timeline started over, second time she choose her fate with the little knowledge it might come back to bite her. No one can’t escape death.

Lois didn’t expect someone to help her out but when the wind came up she rushed and step on some of the papers. As she stood up and then looked up her eyes laid on the others as something was so familiar but he didn’t look like some one she knows. “Thanks.” she said now looking down to take back her notes from the male.

“Don’t worry about it, I can put them back in their order later.” she said counting what is there. “You know what there was never an order anyways. Thank you for your help I need to hold things better. It’s never been my cup of tea or how ever you say that phrase.” Lois said with a smile as she looked back up toward the male. “Am sorry, I don’t think we meet before.”

“Oh, good. I know if my notes were jumbled, I’d never find the original order again,” he confessed, knowing his notes rarely made any sense to anyone, sometimes even himself. “Maybe try voice notes? That’s worked wonders for me. That way if someone needs to reference them, they’re somewhat understandable.” Clark knew he should really take his own advice, but never could jump on the voice note bandwagon. There was something about reading back his notes, handwritten or typed, that just inspired him to write something magnificent. “I don’t think we have either, I’m Clark. Lois looked at her notepad biting the top of her pen to pay attention if there someone standing why her looking what she written down. She jumped a little as she looked were the male voice came from. “Oh is it?” Lois asked looking at what he is talking about and looked down the street. Lois can’t help but to sigh, how could she catch up when new information comes to her surface. Writing down what the male said to look into later. “You and me both. The cloud takes care of it for you, saves them across devices.” Looking to the sky, Mark smirked at the cloud coverage that hid away the sun so easily. His doing, of course. 

“Though, I totally understand wanting physical copies, that way people can’t hack their way in, hmm? But, I digress. I’m sidetracked, so apologies. Yes. There are many, many more streets that make up this city we call home.” The last word bitter in his mouth, knowing that he had to share this damned city with the heroes.

The journey of time is always a mystery to those who does know what can be beyond the unknown. Every since she got here and meet Supergirl she has mentioned the Superman on this earth. Lois let that information in the back of her mind to live her life with her own Superman. After all it’s been so long.

Lois walked down the street with her notepad once again making notes, as she saw the last page she sighed knowing she will have to get a new one. Trying to balance everything the wind set a breeze toward her as all her notes went everywhere. “Great, like I needed that” she said in disgust bending over to start picking up her papers. Smoke like gas slowing come from the vents above. I know I might have lung problems due to smoking for many years. By what I said I think it would sound like a nightmare but it was very real.” she said with a light tear forming in her eyes. “I don’t think I was healed for say. I don’t want to test my self around smoke or anything coming close.”

It’s not a story she want to tell her husband about, she knows he will blame himself, after all he thought she was dead this whole time. She can’t hurt him more then he already is.

“Not that I remember, all I know it was hard to breath next moment a male came then it was white and them bam am here.” Lois said taking a sip of her latte trying to calm her nerves. It’s still a fresh memory, she can still hear the screams in my ears.

“That’s the best news I’ve heard in a long time.” Kal’s smile had barely left his face since they landed at home, feeling much more at ease out of the public eye. But it faltered somewhat at her reaction, “he is.. it’s been a few rough years since we lost you. But he’s a fine young man, you’d be so proud of him. I really hope you get the chance to see him again too.”

For this time, she can’t try to compare her experiences with Rory’s. “Am sorry to here that. When Rory said he heard of Metropolis, Lois’s eyes grew wide. “You have?” she asked, this might be the first person from her husband who knows it’s a place and not a movie. “Um well, I guess you can say it’s like a normal city, very busy, very safe unless someone comes in to try and take down Superman.” Lois said as her memory of their earth’s Lex came into her mind. “You can say it’s eventful and not dull. Am not saying it’s good at all.”

Half of the problems Star City had faced and been people deciding they wanted to destroy Oliver Queen, whether for the mask or not. Sipping his drink, he offered a smile of apology, “sorry, I’m a scientist, anything like this really piques my interest. You didn’t see any signs of a portal or vortex that you traveled through to get here? Or anyone who could have transported you?”

“I wish that were the case, but it seems with every tragedy Star City faces we only get more divided and prone to turn on each other.” Roy admitted with a sigh. With every disaster came the desire for people to simply find someone to blame. “I’ve heard of Metropolis, but afraid I don’t know much about it.” Roy informed her, quirking his head curiously at that. The only people he really knew to come from Metropolis were the Supers that Oliver had met, and they were from another Earth.

For this time, she can’t try to compare her experiences with Rory’s. “Am sorry to here that. I hope things will come together and be at peace if there is room.” she said as she bite her thumb trying to think. When Rory said he heard of Metropolis, Lois’s eyes grew wide. “You have?” she asked, this might be the first person from her husband who knows it’s a place and not a movie. “Um well, I guess you can say it’s like a normal city, very busy, very safe unless someone comes in to try and take down Superman.” Lois said as her memory of their earth’s Lex came into her mind. “You can say it’s eventful and not dull. Am not saying it’s good at all.”

“I never heard of Starling City but I can see where Star city comes from.” Lois said didn’t mind the fun fact about the origin of the city. Listening to the other’s story, she wondered what happened but she could look up that information later if she really wants to know. “A change of name is a start. I hope things can get better. I think all cities have those day of  totally destruction to rebuilding like nothing never happened.” Her saying that out loud sounded just as bad as it sounds. She couldn’t count how many times something bad happened in Metropolis that came to rebuilding. 

“Yeah, in our case we’ve had that day at least once a year for nearly the last decade.” Roy joked with a grim smile. He hoped there would be a day when Star City no longer had to suffer such destruction, was actively fighting to make it happen. But he knew it was unfortunately a long way off. “Where are you from originally?”

Lois nodded knowing where she is from there is more days like that then anything. All the newspapers came out with the headline Superman saves the day. “It’s sad to say sometimes destruction bring people together along with a stronger community.” She seen many cities come together and rebuild stronger then they once before remembering what happened and who was the hero who helped in their time in need. Lois looked at the male, “Am from Metropolis. A name no one knows as if it’s made up.” she said a sad smile. “Long way from home in summery. I’ve seen destruction many times so you can say I might know how you feel but not really to the fact.”

She held on to him feeling the air going though her hair and skin, she looked this chance to look around. It is beautiful, like all the flights before they never get old to her as she looked up at him when he spoke about the other Superman.”You make it sound like I’ve been gone longer.” Lois said knowing it is true, she didn’t know how long she has been gone. They both got a lot of catching up to do. Looking around she noticed the apartment they were coming to, seeing the roof top made her smile remembering that night on the roof top of the Daily Plant. Young and reckless is what she could call herself back then being happy for the other’s return. Lois regretted the way she acted but she thinking of that as a good memory.

Lois looked down seeing them slowly landing on the patio then she looked up at her husband. “It’s good to be back, Clark.” Lois said with a gentle smile looking into his eyes. “Let’s get you out of the cape, because tonight it’s only me and my husband.” she said joking knowing she didn’t want just superman in her life but the man she married as well.

“To me you have been gone for a long time…” He hesitated before continuing, thinking that maybe the little piece of information may be too much. Though he knew Lois must be wondering about their son. “Jason is at college, in my time.”

A little smile followed her words and he leaned down to kiss her, letting the embrace linger. “I wanted to do that the second I saw you again.” He admitted quietly, a little laugh escaping him. “You want me to slip into something more comfortable, hmm? I can do that.”

No sooner had he said it than he had used his speed to race into the apartment and change his clothes, opening the patio doors more slowly on his return and taking her hand to lead her inside. “How about we order take out and have a relaxing night in?”

Lois bite her tongue, she is now scared how long time really has gone past. “Will am never leaving. You stuck with me.” Lois said with a smile, making a promise knowing she will be keeping until the fate comes back to hunt her once again. Everything stop along with her heart, Jason is now in collage. “He is?” She missed everything. Lois knew after not telling him he is Jason’s father, she guess it’s a good thing Clark got to be with him as long she was when Jason grew up until he came back. Clark missed his first steps, first words as she missed his milestones of his life. Lois couldn’t be more proud as a smile came to her face. “I hope time and give me a chance to see him again like it did with me seeing you.”

As a kiss greeted her, Lois couldn’t help but to smile more widely it soon turned into a laugh. “Something that is you of course.” she said.

Feeling the air, Lois stood right where she stood knowing it won’t take along. She turned around for a moment to look at the night sky feeling more alive then ever before. When the doors opened slowly Lois turned around to see Clark letting him take her hand following his every step. “I would love that.” she said with a smile holding his hand tight. “What sounds good?”

The journey of time is always a mystery to those who does know what can be beyond the unknown. Every since she got here and meet Supergirl she has mentioned the Superman on this earth. Lois let that information in the back of her mind to live her life with her own Superman. After all it’s been so long.

Lois walked down the street with her notepad once again making notes, as she saw the last page she sighed knowing she will have to get a new one. Trying to balance everything the wind set a breeze toward her as all her notes went everywhere. “Great, like I needed that” she said in disgust bending over to start picking up her papers. Good thing she choose the wear pants.
