while growing up, did you have any role models? her mother and her older sister were the set models in her life, but she also looked up to fashion figures and music artists that she grew up listening to. they influenced her.
while growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? yasmin was definitely the black sheep of her family, even with the tight boundaries her somewhat strict parents set and the responsibility of looking after her younger sisters at times. but she always managed to carve her own path, stepping away from the family’s norms to find her own way. with her older sister, they constantly clashed, but with her younger sister, layla, they were inseparable. yasmin treated her noor like her own child, even though they’d clash at times, often due to the influence her older sister had on the youngest.
as a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? yasmin wanted to be a journalist, interviewer or entertainment reporter. something that brought her as close to the famous people or the celebrity lifestyle she admired without actually being in that light.
