Okay, so just watched the new trailer for Multiverse of Madness, and the line āwe should tell him the truthā from that mystery person who clearly sounds like Patrick Stewart got me thinking. If that is indeed Charles Xavier, and this is like an Illuminati thing, could the ātruthā imply that Xavier and whoever else is in this secret group have somehow been keeping an eye on the MCU timeline? Like maybe they had sent āsleeper agents,ā so to speak, to hang out there this entire time to keep track of what was going on. And if thatās the case, then maybe Quicksilver was one of those sleeper agents, and the whole Ralph Bohner thing was a red herring. Because that would explain a lot of the inconsistencies with that character. Like him laughing at his own name could have been because it was a name he chose, and he probably chose it because it was funny. Sure, itās a wild theory, but after No Way Home, it seems possible.
Just watched the interview with the three Spider-Men, and my biggest takeaway was just how much Andrew Garfield admires Tobey Maguire. š
Missed opportunity inĀ āNo Way Homeā:
When Peter Parker moved into his new apartment, the landlord shouldāve been revealed as MCU Mr. Ditkovich.Ā
I was actually hoping Mr. Ditkovich would make a cameo in that scene when I watched it. š
Doing the olā not wanting to spoil Spider-Man No Way Home thing and putting my wants and desires underneath a read more tab.
Okay, so Iāve been seeing rumors about Secret Wars possibly bringing in Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, which makes sense, considering thatās all multiverse related. Does make me think of the possibilities of who else could show up in those movies. Like Iād love it if some members of Agents of SHIELD were to show up. Because that would be kind of great. And this is more like wishful thinking, but it would be amusing to see Maguireās Spider-Man give Fitz his brand of a therapy session. Plus, dude knows what itās like to have a ādark side,ā so Iād imagine itād be quite therapeutic for both of them.
No Way Home Spoilers are under the āread moreā tab, because I have no idea whoās seen it. But this has been kind of bugging me, So I felt like sharing it.
Okay, I get that Andrewās Spider-Man catching MJ was a great moment and all, and I do agree, it was a great moment that deserves praise.
But not enough people are talking about Tobeyās Spider-Man holding back Tomās Spider-Man from killing Green Goblin. Like both of their acting in that scene is on point and deserves just as much praise. Give both of those guys the credit they deserve. They were brilliant in that scene. Heck, they were all brilliant, and thatās whatās great about No Way Home. Everyone was giving it their all.
A little weird that everyone assumes that Laura Barton possibly being Agent 19 makes her Mockingbird, and also therefore means that AoS is officially not canon. Not really any proof that Agent 19 in the MCU and Mockingbird are the same person, as AoSās Mockingbird was never associated with that number, at least that Iām aware of. Laura Bartonās name is also not Bobbi Morse, so unless she changed her name or if sheās ever actually referred to as Mockingbird, that number alone doesnāt really prove anything.
SO WHAT WE NOT GONNA DO
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the MJ from the original trilogy also fell dramatically, and Peter saved her in time in that universe. So maybe the same thing will happen with this MJ. š¤·āāļø
Well, guess my analysis about Doc Ock not realizing the Peter Parker under the mask is not the same one that he knows was just confirmed in that trailer.
Okay, as fun as the Uncharted movie looks, Iām still baffled by the casting choices. I mean, I like Tom, but Heās so different from Nathan Drake that itās kind of hard to get behind. Also, was it really that hard for Mark Wahlberg to grow a mustache?
Really, though, I think the problem I mostly have with it is that they got Holland and Wahlberg as Nate and Sully when Bradley Cooper and Bruce Campbell exist. š¤·āāļø
Iām hoping that theyāll at least surprise me and that itāll actually be good and not just a simple cash grab.
I was only today years old when I discovered that Enoch from Agents of SHIELD played an FBI agent in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. (And his partner was the dad from The Middle.)
Spider-Man 2 (2004) // Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Okay, anyone else find people trying to wrap their head around how Ock recognizes Hollandās Peter as Peter a bit baffling? Like some people are trying to come up with theories that Hollandās version replaces Maguireās version or something but Ock sees Maguire, yet they fail to realize that the scene where they show Holland looking over and the scene where they show him suit up could be happening at completely different points from Ock. Look at those shots, and then look at the Ock shot. I feel like this could be one of two things.
1. Holland is wearing his mask. Ock could easily assume Maguireās version is under there. In fact, the last thing that happened before he sunk into the river at the end of SM2 was Peter revealing his face to him. Itās as simple as that. Literally no multiversal magic needed on that front.
2. The one Iām hoping for is that heās talking to Maguireās Spider-Man in that moment, which they cut out for obvious reasons. The way they cut it seems way too deliberate for them not to be hiding something.
At least I hope itās one of those two and not some of the weirder theories Iāve been seeing. Like why introduce variants to the MCU if you donāt utilize it?
Well, guess now that Sylvie and Loki messed up the timeline, people canāt have arguments about what is and isnāt canon now. (Because, you know, now everything is basically canon.) just sayinā. š¤·āāļø
I'm not the only one who heard the Sims Medieval music in the newest Loki episode, right? RIGHT?
Yeah, I recognized it immediately. š
So my brother and I were talking about the Alfred Molina thing, and we were thinking how cool would it be if Molinaās Ock ended up helping Peter stop whoever the villain is; you know, to keep with the character development of Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2, he basically ends up helping Tom Hollandās Peter and Doctor Strange stop the threat? At least thatās my theory.
So Alfred Molina just confirmed heās in Spider-Man: No Way Home; and not just as some alternate universe Doc Ock, but he seems to imply that heās coming back as Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock... which makes me wonder even more about characters like J Jonah Jameson and *ahem* Ralph Bohner.
In fact, Iād say that makes me even more suspicious about Ralph. Like if Molina has seemingly confirmed that the intent of the multiverse is, in fact, a way to bring back actors from other movie franchises to play their respective characters, then could that mean that the theories about Ralph not being his real name actually be true?
At the very least, it could prove that Peter Maximoff or any of the X-Men could come back in the same form. Like even if Ralph is actually Ralph, Peter Maximoff could still show up in Multiverse of Madness.
