EARLIER LIFE
Tabitha was born and raised in Chicago and growing up, she was never really close to her family other than her Grandfather.
As soon as she was able to move out on her own, with the very little cash she had, she was gone. And Tabitha was more than fine building a way fro herself her entire life.
Shes had to work hard for everything that shes every owned, so she doesn’t take it for granted. And she doesn’t let people bully her into giving up what she so rightful earned.
She worked for a billion dollar company for a few years, and was steadily climbing her way up the ladder.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM INBETWEEN THE SEVEN YEARS ?
Her job got too stressful for her, and Chicago was starting to become all too the same. So when she heard her grandfather was retiring and giving up the business, she knew she had to jump at the chance to take it.
She quit her job, earning more money than she could have ever imagined making, to go help her family business. It seemed like it was something more important to her.
She’s been working under pop, learning the ropes so when he finally did leave that she could smoothly take over.
She’s moved permanently to Riverdale, though it’s hardly her kind of town, it seems like it was the best option at the moment.

aphotic eyes watch the crowds , he was with clay a moment ago before both parted ways. this isn’t the first time he’s been to the lodge lodge. and he didn’t think he’d be here again , but the party felt like a good opportunity to obtain information – especially with a particular hostess submerging from the cracks. working for the lodges at one point , he is well aware that anything that hermosa says or does shouldn’t be taken at face value. needing to be aware of his surroundings , he was sure to minimize his alcohol intake. but he wore the softest of smiles when he watched tabitha singing her heart out and it brought him back to how far his friend has come. and although tipsy , she’d rarely hop up on stage surrounded by their peers. a laugh escaped as she ushered him to sing with her . he wasn’t a stranger to singing – but in public ? that’s only happened maybe twice so far. “ alright , chica. what are we singing ? “
When Tabitha stepped off stage, she was greeted by Tony. Surprised he had even made it to the party, but alone, she had noticed. She may have been tipsy, but she wasn’t dumb. Actually far from it. She didn’t want to ask what was going on, she could probably assume. Just like what seemed to be happening to her in that moment. She quickly snapped back from her thoughts once Tony quickly offered to sing with her. Well, that was very unexpected of him and she was willing to beg for him to join her on stage. Looked like she wasn’t going to need to use her pouty face tonight after all. “Hmm.” She pondered out loud, humming the word softly as a few song choices popped into her head. until, one stuck and felt right to her situation and maybe even his too. “I got it. Do you trust me to just surprise you with the song?”
it wouldn’t be to anyone’s surprise that jughead found himself positioned by the dinner table, collecting a plentiful amount of french fries and fanciful street tacos. he knew veronica had to be of some influence , otherwise they’d be receiving the very posh end of the rich kid nightmare. taking his food to the barstand , he ordered a glass of whiskey – although a voice in the back of his head advised against it. it’s often one he hits puts on silent daily. “ it’s kind of odd that hermosa is the captain of this party , or so i heard. “ his words were light , though he’d never imagine hermosa tugging veronica beneath her – that seemed like a suicide mission, or on the verge of one. hell hath no fury than an lodge that feels caged.
Though Tabitha knew many people from seeing them at the Diner, there wasn’t that many familiar faces in the party for her to connect too. However, when she saw Jughead sitting at he bar a soft smile pulled on the corner of her lips as she made her way over. She hadn’t had a chance to really talk to him, other then when they worked together. Now he always seemed so busy and she was never one to beg for attention from anyone, let alone a boy. Hearing his words, she let out a laugh as she ordered herself a drink, not even commenting on the whiskey glass that sat in front of him. “I think you heard right, this so clearly isn’t a Veronica party at all. Wish it was though.”
Despite the fact that Chad has mastered the arts of both manipulation and imitation, sometimes it was hard to fit to this town’s low standards. Despite the fact that he was too new to find a source of control, sometimes he just needed to let his true colors breathe. He was enjoying glass of whiskey, lost in his own thoughts as someone tried to speak to him despite the fact it was obvious he was not listening. “ Excuse me? Do you believe that there is something I can do for you?” His voice was laced with irony as his eyes changed their focus, so they could pierce the figure who dared to disturb him.
Tabitha was taking a quick break from the karoke stage, and decided that she needed another drink. Probably not the best decision she had ever made, but she was already past the point of caring, so why not just go all out for the night? As she made her way to the bar, she saw Chad standing there and decided to say hello to him. As she approached him, and before she could make herself really known to him, he had snapped at her quickly. Taken aback in her drank haze, she would normally have a come back for him, but she was lost on what to say. “I was just coming to get another drink actually and wanted to say hi. So, hi.”
Adrenaline pumped through wirey veins at the speed of light as his hands aggressively clapped together. One would think the music would be the loudest thing at this party. A howl ripped from Klaus’ lips as he knocked his head back, eyes shut tight as he let it ring out with his whole chest. Soon after, he was bounding up to the girl, Allison’s see-through robe sashaying out behind him. The fur of the collar tickled his neck as he held a hand out toward her, fingers outstretched and wiggling just as his eyebrows did. “I’m a tenor, but any song is in my range. Do you know Toxic? What am I saying, of course you do… but no… that’s so three years ago. No. We need to wow.” He hummed in thought. “I Will Survive…. ugh, no. Everyone’s going to be doing that.” Klaus prattled off before his eyes grew wide, and his hand closed the distance to grab hers, setting to guide them back up on this stage - right here, right now. “I have it.” He announced proudly. “I Believe In A thing Called Love. How falsetto can you go?” The higher the better, he always said.
Tabitha was not down from her high of being on stage, and mixed with the feeling of the alcohol flowing through her, it was excitement overload. When a man she had never met before bounded up to her, she was sure he was there to try and catch her as she stumbled off stage. But to her surprise, he was all too eager to want to get on stage with her. Finally! Someone that matched her excitement. And normally she wasn’t one to trust a random man, holding out his hand to her, but in that moment she took it and trusting whatever journey they were about to go on together. As he rattled off songs, Tabithas drunk mind was trying to keep up until he finally settled on one song in particular. Not really her style, but she would give it a go and this was all about fun right? “Pretty high I think...I don’t know, lets find out!” she laughed making her way back to stage with him.
somehow Midge had ended up closer to the stage than intended, although she was dead set on staying far away from the limelight. she instinctively reached out as Tabitha made her way towards her to help keep her balance if necessary. clearly the other girl had already had her fair share of alcohol prior to this point. laughing a bit she shook her head decisively. “no. there is absolutely no way you could get me up on that stage.” there weren’t enough drinks in the world. “you were great though, I didn’t know you could sing like that.”
Tabitha wasn’t really planning on staying at the karaoke area for most of the party, but she found herself having a lot of fun. And surprisingly, people wanting to duet with her. She actually loved the attention, even if she was off in her own little drunken world. When she made her way to Midge, however, she was greeted with a firm ‘no’ of joining her up on stage. “Fine, but you are missing out. It’s so much fun up there.” she laughed and then shrugged her shoulders. “It’s a talent many people don’t know I have, and I tend to don’t sing very often. But thank you, i’m glad you think it’s great. How is the rest of the party? I haven’t really left this area.”
link straightened up and held his hands out in front of him with an unsure look about him as the woman stumbled off the stage and questioned him. he wasn’t sure if she was going to fall in front of him or not at this rate but it was more her question that caught him off-guard. “ i can’t sing. “ he lied while azure eyes shifted away from the stranger and scanned the area for someone else he knew. “ you should sit. “ he added on when his gaze returned to the tipsy woman after failing to find a friend.
Tabitha giggled as she fell forward, the man in front of her holding his hands out to catch her. Her smile quickly turning into a frown when he mentioned how he couldn’t sing. “What do you mean? Everyone sounds wonderful! I’m sure you can sing just fine.” but she wasn’t going to force the stranger to sing with her if he didn’t want too. In fact, he seemed a bit unsure of the party in the first place. “No, no. I’m fine.” she told him, waving off the suggestion to sit down.
The moment Tabitha had walked in to the party, she was all ready to let go of the stress of her normal life and just have fun for once. It was rare for her to really let herself go, always the one with her life pulled together tight. It was time for her to let it go, just this once. What could one party really hurt? It’s why she found herself quickly a little too tipsy and giggly, and finishing up her song at the karaoke stand. Another thing she hardly ever did, but she kind of liked it and wanted to go again. Stumbling down from the small stage where the microphone sat, she smiled at the person she was now standing in front of. “Hey do you want to do a duet with me?! Come on, its so fun!”
With having the Whyte Wyrm under Pop’s, it wasn’t that unusual for their stock to get mixed up for the day. It kind of became a daily occurrence at this point. Tabitha found a couple bottles of mixer for the bar in her shipment, and carefull picked up the box. Carrying it down the steps to the Wyrm, she slid it across the bar for Toni to take. “I don’t think this would make very good milkshakes, Toni. Pretty sure these are yours and they got mixed up today. Did you happen to get any of my things while i’m down here?”
❝ haven’t seen you here in a while, ❞ her voice mused as she greeted the other. sabrina made herself at home in a metaphysical shoppe. certain items lacked their luster while their entire core has been dimmed by some unidentifiable force– they still carried their charming attributes that could come a long way. ❝ and i know you can’t be here just to see me.❞ the tone had a playful accusatory note to it. ❝ what can i help you with ?❞
Tabitha walked into the shop for no real reason, just to glance at a few things. Maybe she would buy something while she was in the store if something caught her eye. A smile spreading across her lips as she heard the other girl greet her. “Yeah, hey Sabrina! It’s been awhile since i’ve seen you around.” A small shurg of her shoulders. she let out a laugh. “I could be here just to see you. Maybe! But I don’t need any help.” she told her, “unless...you can help me find this book i’ve been looking for. I don’t know if you have it here.”
Though Tabitha had been an assistant before she worked at Pop’s, it was something she was going to have to get use to again. The steady pace of working for someone was something not unfamiliar, and Veronica had became a great friend in the process of this adventure. Clocking out and rushing over to Veronicas place, with her usual Pop’s order in hand, Free of charge of course. Tabitha let herself into the Pembrooke like Veronica had always told her to do, she called along the hallow entryway, expecting to hear the click of her heels within minutes. “Veronica? I’m early, I hope that’s okay! I brought you a chocolate milkshake though...extra malt. Like you get it!”
💍 : our muses are mistaken for a couple by someone else . @misstabithatate
❝ you guys are cute , are you two on a date ? ❞ the pressing waitress gushed as she approached their table.
tony had to clear his throat as his drink slipped down the wrong pipe. “ uhm - i’m sorry, what ? “ was clay really unto something that a simple hang out with anyone can be equivalent to a date in everyone else’s eyes ? the misinterpretations started becoming irritating a while ago – each time someone did it – it was always eighty five percent inaccurate. ❝ that’s not – we’re not on a date. just … really good friends. ❞ his aphotic eyes drift towards tabitha to see how she’s handling the accusation.
Tabitha couldn’t help but let out a laugh as the waitress mistakenly took them as a couple. To them, they were just a pair of really close friends, but to everyone else that didn’t know them..she could see how the assumption could be made. And Tony’s reaction only made her laugh harder. “Yeah, he wishes he was dating me.” she shot back playfully, and that was more a joke towards Tony. But she saw the way the waitress scrambled at her mistake and apologized. “Totally fine,” she told the waitress as she looked up at her. “Not the first time we got this, probably not the last. Maybe we should just make this a real thing.” she teased, watching Tony for his reaction to her new joke. He was so easy to get flustered.
similar to most of the residents of Riverdale Midge had a routine, one that involved stopping at Pop’s for her daily dose of caffeine. as cliche as it may have sounded. approaching the counter with a grin she hitched her bag up a little higher on her shoulder. “hey, Tab. just the usual today,” she requested from the woman across from her. she was in a pleasant mood, determined to make it last as long as possible since it seemed to be a rarer occasion nowadays for some reason or another.
It had been a slow day at the diner, not unusual to hit a slump in the middle of the afternoon. Tabitha was just cleaning up around the counter, when she heard the door chime and her head popped up to see a familiar face. Once she had grown into a quick and easy friendship with. “Hey Midge, sure thing. Take a seat and i’ll have to right out for you.” she told her with a smile as she got right to work on making her milkshake for her. “You seem like you are in a good mood today, What's going on?”
—— ▸▸ ❝ fuck . . great ❞ she muttered under her breath as she noticed tabitha advancing forward. this was not going to be good. as she was taken from her post, she put on her best crooked smile as she rubbed her eyes lightly. ❝ i thought you left or something . . someone had to take orders. ❞ she mentioned looking at her attire. ❝ tabitha . . i like you and all, even appreciate you letting me wash dishes for a meal here and there . . but there’s no way you’ll put me in one of those dress things. actually no way in hell that’s happening. ❞ she moved her arms over her chest. ❝ plus . . i like to think i’m very professional looking . . customers seem to like chats they have with me the way i am. ❞ she mentioned.
Tabitha wasn’t one to take alot of crap from people, especially people that worked for her. She wasn’t going to be pushed around and never had. Even if she was nice, she wasn’t going to let her kindness get taken advantage of. And she knew Rue was the type of person that would definitely play that to her advantage. “I am always here, I own the place. I kinda have to be here.” she shot back and then nodded her head when Rue didn’t comply with the uniform order. “Okay, well then there’s the door. You can try and find a new job if you’d like. Or you can wear the uniform. It’s up to you. If I were you though, I would take the silly looking dress over not having a job at all.” Tabitha had tried to give her chances but this was her last straw with her. “Everyone else that works here wears the uniform, you don’t get a special exception. Sorry. So put it it on or leave. Those are the only options you have, Rue.”
