HOPE + LIES + DESIRE

as i mentioned this album, well, i decided to make a post about it right now.

when i first started out the album, i was thinking of more Witch House type of music still, but as i started to dive in into more psychedelic music, i started to make hardcore tracks for it (like “Sea Moon”). i loved all the growls and basses, i was playing around with them, giving them a new sound every time. everything was sounding great. but, when i realized it wasn’t really my style, well, since that moment i thought of recreating the whole album again. that usually happens to me a lot.

i remember when one of my friends shown me some Witch House, and i thought i should come back to that. plus there were some inspirational artists too. i really love Grimes, Purity Ring, CHVRCHES, Pixelord, and so... i thought why not experiement. so, i’m going to experiement with Dreampop, Garage, Future Bass, Witch House and other genres i love.

but yeah. if you are wondering how i do the vocals, well... i have Vocaloid 4, and i use Avanna for every single song, but only once i used other singer in a song (i used Flower in the track “I Suffer”, which will come out with the same titled EP). and of course i never sing myself. im a guy and i sing terrible, and i got a really bad microphone.

for the ‘Hope + Lies + Desire’ i will try to put a lot of effort in each song. i will try to make as many pretty sounding synths as i possibly could, and, write better lyrics that would make sense. so. yeah. that’s all for now. thank you so much, i will see you in the next update, which is coming in November 15th...

2015 is the year where Audiotool makes a huge step towards the future

So when will it happen and will it all come at once?

Not only that we are actually rebuilding Audiotool from scratch, we are also challenging every single existing feature and tool, trying to find better solutions in terms of performance, usage and stability. We are making good progress and we hope to give you something mature to play with till summer 2015. We like to see this update as a progress. We want you to be involved into decisions when-ever possible.

So starting in summer we have a series of updates coming up before we eventually will shut down the current flash application and move it to a museum.

Behind the scenes

We have 80% of the core functionalities up and running. Right now we are implementing a lot of new features in different domains of Audiotool. It is not yet decided which features will be exposed in the first updates and which will be released later this year. In any case we want to share the features that most likely will make it into Next this year. So here we go!
