"I'm no hero, just a Yordle with a hammer."

Another winter post, this time featuring a Fumo Poppy that I made for a commission.

I think that right now this is one of my favorite works. Last year there were very few Fumo commissions, so I was really happy when it was finally her turn.

I worked on her longer than I planned. Most of the time went into the felt armor. I tried to cut everything as symmetrically as possible. Every single detail had to be glued, painted, dried, and then carefully attached to the plush.

A new challenge for me was sewing the hammer. I had never made toys like that before. Overall, I’m okay with it. I stuffed it so well you could actually hit someone with it :D But do I ever want to do it again? meeeeeh ( = ⩊ = ) A big mistake was trying to replicate all the shapes. I should have simplified it as much as possible and made the hammer handle just a straight stick with simple straight golden inserts.

I used stiff felt to try to give it an angular shape of the golden elements. It took a lot of time, was difficult to sew and paint, and in the end… was all of that really necessary for a plush accessory for the main toy? I don’t think so (°ε° )

A small demonstration of the sound module ・ω・

The box itself is quite large, so I’m glad I managed to fit it inside. There were smaller options available, but I really wanted high-quality sound, not something recorded through a speaker. Plus, it allowed me to store lots of phrases :з

Heartless anti-stress keychains from kingdom hearts. I like how their eyes slightly glow in the game, so I made luminescent thread embroidery, which makes them glow in the dark.

This is my first time making a toy with plastic stuffing and I liked it :D They are very nice to squeeze (¬‿¬ )
