@missusplum
Why are you so hopeful when these writers might bait and play us again?
What were youāre thoughts on the finale and what stories would you like to see next season?
Hereās hoping for one of your long essays
lmao i completely get the frustration, but the way i really see it, i donāt think the takeaway from this season is that armony will never be a focus; itās that this show chooses to be chaotic just for the sake of being ~shocking~ and ~unexpected~ so really by that benchmark anything is possible lol
for those reasons i think going into the business of trying to predict anything on this show is generally a bad idea and a recipe to setting yourself up for disappointment. so i have no thoughts on what might go down in s3, just that i hope we get one loool. because despite all my yapping and complaining i really do want to see more of this show, and i think there are lots of stories still to tell. i started watching for elodie and iām gonna stay for her too š
iāll share my thoughts on s2 behind the cut:
listen, if i was a glass half full kind of person, i would say that technically since thereās no real writing consistency between seasons, itās possible that s3 could completely lean into armony. yknow, just to be shocking and subvert expectations š
me reading every postmortem interview with miranda and melissa like:
The Cleaning Lady's strength as a TV show is found in leaning into the nuance and passion of Arman and Thony's relationship, so when that dynamic is put on a backburner or just.... completely absent... in favor of background characters/relationships (i.e. Garrett/Maya), it becomes just another subpar, mildly suspenseful, overly dramatic TV show.
season 3 armony when
nahhh iām still annoyed tho
welllllll
some of these anti-thony takes are wild. like the whole point is that she prioritizes her son over everything and everyone, at her own personal cost.
I'm worried abt the showrunner's comment that no relationships are safe in the TCL finale. I kind of hated Thony's betrayal of Arman altho you made some good points. It sounds like Thony goes rogue next ep. I really hope she doesn't betray Arman again - I think that would signal the end of their relationship which would be very frustrating to say the least. Any guesses? Tx.
Lol yeah it sure is a hell of a tease eh. I mean your guess is as good as mine re: which relationships sheās talking about so ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
I have more thoughts on Thony this week under the cut:
lots of ppl on twitter annoyed with thony lol but iām kind of into it. i didnāt agree w her choices this ep but i respect a show that lets their protagonists be unlikable sometimes š
shoutout to JD the realest mfer in tcl
Any spoilers for The Cleaning Lady? āLaura
Season 2 has already delivered the deaths of Marco, Hayak and Maya ā and it sounds like the body count could go up during the two-episode sophomore finale (airing Dec. 12). āItās going to surprise a lot of people,ā co-showrunner Melissa Carter says of the season ender. āIn this world, no one is safe. Nothing is safe. No relationships are safe.ā (x)
i wonāt lie i completely forgot about g*rrett miller until he showed up halfway into the episode
What did you think of the latest episode ? I need to hear your thoughts because wtf was that
haha hello anon š as usual i have a jumbled mess of thoughts under the cut:
