missxwolfeâ:
âNo, but thank you, Sirâ, she declined the offer for a drink. It was always best to have a clear head during such appointments and after all Mr. Malfoy had chosen the same.
Actually Christina hadnât expected that much attention. Then again, due to the nature of this conversation the Muggle leader wanted to be sure who sat in front of him. Of course there was always the option to wait outside until she was called.
âI have been working for him for nearly three years now.â
Merlin! That last questionâŚ
âAs for the latter, I have always believed Mr. Malfoy to be the right choice for the Minister of the Wizarding World. So I do appreciate the chance to assist him with any tasks he entrusts me with. It can be difficult to discern who is trustworthy. Much stands and falls with loyalty. And yes, you could definitely say I truly value my position.â
A smirk came from the teenager. ââAll the more for me,ââ he joked, as he took a small sip from his glass.Â
ââGood answer, Miss Wolfeâ some of my best employees can attest to such a response as well,ââ Stewie said, as he eyed the platinum blonde. âHe clearly has a gift with choosing the correct employees it seems.ââÂ
Lucius tchâed, nodding. ââWith my familyâs status and power within the Wizarding World, one does have to be careful⌠lest they get stabbed in the back.ââÂ
The leader chuckled. ââRightâ Well, back onto topicâââ He leaned closer to the two after digging out some documents. ââI do  have some ways of manipulating things to go our way with the position of the Minister⌠I can execute plans to kill or disrupt certain wizarding famiilies, by taking them off guard⌠to put certain pressures on the current Minister, of course.ââÂ
Lucius tilted his head. He didnât particularly like murderâ but for the greater good⌠He sighed, acknowledgement flashing in his eyes. ââRight⌠do what you need to,ââ he stated, now pausing to take a glance at Christina. ââMiss Wolfe, give him the objects heâd need to keep on himself to protect him from magick, at least, for the most part.âÂ
Stewieâs eyes flickered up at that. ââMeaning?ââ
ââProtects you from majority of spells, but not all. Mostly from the basic sort of spells.ââÂ
At his words, her inner tension ceased a little.
This job gave her opportunities that were otherwise hard or even impossible to gain. The wizard she worked for tended to know what it was he expected and was very clear about it. It was obvious his reputation was extremely mixed, nevertheless it was impossible to please everyone.
âOf course, Sir.â She nodded at Mr. Malfoy before turning back to the younger man respectfully. âIf I may?â
She slowly reached for her bag and carefully took each item out one by one to place them neatly on his desk.
The brunette figured that he would rather take a good look at them first before actually considering of using any of them. Especially when it came to items of the Wizarding World, it was best to remain cautious. Something could always be jinxed, cursed or poisoned. Nobody was willing to take such a risk, unless they were careless. Neither of them could afford any such behavior.
