Poems & Words
someday this world will no longer need doctors.
people will then be more comfortable of accepting the thought of dying because the world is getting to awful to live in.
No amount of positivity can heal an unkind world.
“do not fall down the rabbit hole” they said.
..easy for them to say. But im not down there yet. I still see the light shining bright.
And finally the answer I have been waiting to hear:
“so based from the tests we have done, you have moderate clinical depression.”
Diagnosis confirmed. I mean it could be worse.
sucks to be me!
Everytime I show genuine happiness, shit happens.
Does that mean I dont deserve to be happy at all? It is what every person wants. Some peace and tranquility in her life. Positive vibes in a bubble, even when everything outside is chaos. Even when life is full of problems, there is still a smile.
But when I post photos of happiness and that everything is genuinely fine, something breaks off the balance.
When I show people I am genuinely happy, shit happens.
Soo, Hi white people, I am after you again...
I was actually having a good day yesterday and thought ‘hey finally there’s nothing to rant about today’ and then something happened..
Sunday and my only day off from work. We were just chilling in the lounge and then my white guy flatmate thought ‘hey lets watch something on Netflix’. The flatmates have come across this new show called Dark Tourist. If you have not heard about it maybe its because you actually know it’s boring and an attention seeking crap.
First I thought it’s just an ordinary film, and then I realised its participants are of different nationalities and the fact there is an Asian in it I thought, ‘oh boy here we go again.’
and then it happened...
The show was about this place in Japan that is highly radioactive and abandoned due to the tsunami that struck the country I think about 5 years ago. (I couldn’t focus on the show anymore because of the comment I heard early on the show). So the devastating tsunami wiped out the cemetery in this particular town. They were all filming on the cemetery with this white dude walking around talking about it being ‘eerie’ and stuff like he cares a lot about it. But then the attention was then focused on this Japanese gay person taking a selfie and posing for the camera and the show was making him look like an idiot and apparently not “respecting the dead”. The white people were telling him off for not “respecting the dead” and “laughing about it”.
First Note: White dude, you were walking around the cemetery while you were being filmed. The sight of that is no different from the way the Asians were documenting their experience as well. Don’t be so sentimental about it. If you’re culture says not to take photos on areas like that, respect our culture as well by not telling us off about how we handle situations. We are a happy culture, we laugh about everything because there’s no reason to dwell on the depressing side of things. The people are dead. It is in the past. The fact that those Asians have moved on from it does not make them disrespectful. That is what you did not get. Good thing the Asian dude was respectful enough to just shut up and not make you more like the ignorant person on the film. Clearly the driver / tour guide got the whole idea and was starting to get uncomfortable with the situation RE: his culture getting disrespected as well.
For a culture that does not believe in religion nor the paranormal (i.e. spirits), suddenly there they are “respecting the dead”?
Second Note: White dude worrying about the food being radioactive, is in fact disrespectful. Hypocrite! Don’t you even know Japanese Culture? You talk about their food and leave something behind on the plate is considered disrespectful. Eat the fcking food. This people are feeding you, don’t whine about it. Nobody asked you to be there in the first place. You voluntarily went there, you should have brought your own food, that is if you were using your brain.
Third Note: Flatmates were making comments about the Asian guy who were taking selfies on the cemetery. Comments made were ‘what a fucking idiot.’ and ‘yeah, people like that taking selfies in Auschwitz thinking it’s alright.’..that made my eardrums pop. Because I know that it’s not just because of the selfie. It’s because he is Asian and he is gay. Two of the most biased description white dudes get triggered to make comments. And that is not fcking Auschwitz, it’s Japan. Dont be so fcking entitled just because you're white and the 'superior' race. White supremacy my ass.
Fourth Note: Going back to the film, next scene was this white woman getting so concerned about the radioactive levels in the area as it was way higher than the safe zone. She was apparently “getting so concerned making (her) question why she was even there in the first place.” And the fact that she was wearing a mini skirt which was exposing much of the parts of her body. Okay, that was enough for me, this is stupid. This time it was my turn to comment ...”Get out of there then woman. Leave! No one wants you there in the first place. Don’t whine about it. And if something happens to you like a radioactive effect or something, GO ON AND BLAME FCKING JAPAN. Not yourself for being there and wearing skimpy clothes, but blame Japan.” (then I left and went downstairs to watch something fun)
Jeez. This people are hypocrites.
Four important aspects of a documentary:
1.) It should be entertaining.
2.) It should not be biased.
3.) It should be based on facts.
4.) It should be flexible.
...Dark Tourist was an experiment.
For the culture that doesnt believe in religion or the paranormal, suddenly there they are "respecting the dead"?...
what he thinks: "if I keep listening to this, she won't stop. So, I will act like I don't wanna listen to it anymore."
what he didn't realize: He hurt her like no one else could. He made her feel like no one is interested to listen, coz if her partner doesn't then no one else will.
Dear Westernized Filipino Restaurant,
You are so pretentious. Filipino is not amongst the rightful descriptions of your restaurant. It is disgusting. So disgusting I just wanted to leave at once. The moment I saw the entree you served us, is for me, unacceptable. I didn’t see it coming and my jaw dropped knowing that I was so proud of taking my partner to a “Filipino” restaurant but it actually wasn’t. Well maybe 10% Filipino. I Dunno. The food was average because it wasn’t authentic Filipino cuisine. And ill keep repeating this as I am proud of where I come from and for the food that gives me comfort morphed to “fit in” in a community, is unacceptable for me.
So, maybe it wasn’t meant to be too Filipino and maybe I am being too self-centred that I didn’t appreciate thinking out of the box. I do get the part where you’re trying to be unique, but octopus Bicol Express, really? we don’t even eat octopus in Bicol! We do eat deer though, try venison instead. It’s trying too hard. You basically stripped off culture from our cuisine. If that is your objective, then stop describing it as a Filipino restaurant. Try exotic asian fusion restaurant instead.
The roast pork I ordered for my mains didn’t help either. I usually change my mind about a restaurant I soon as I see the food and especially when I taste it. The moment I saw it, my night was over in that restaurant. By the way, I went for the roast pork as it was the only thing on the menu that I would devour. But I didn’t, the skin wasn’t crispy enough. Even my partner said it too. The food was cold and its funny that the guy serving us said that it might take too long for the food to be served so he suggested I get an entree as well. Around 20-25 minutes he says. Well guess what, based from what you served me for the mains, I guessed that food was sitting in the counter too long. I refuse to order an entree as I wanted to enjoy my main. I know how roast pork is cooked and I know that a whole pig is roasted way before the restaurant opens at 5pm. So there’s no reason for me to wait for 25 minutes to get my food ready. Okay, maybe you wanted to serve both our food at the same time. Excuses!
The ambience was not my taste as well. It has trying hard written all over it. It made me uncomfortable. I have never eaten my mains soo fast in my entire life just because I wanted to get out of the place asap. I remembered my partner saying, “This doesn’t look like a Filipino restaurant, there’s not many Filipinos around here.” Well guess what, the crowd explains it all. I mean it’s good food, but not good Filipino food.
Yours truly,
The Patriotic Nagger
I dont know a lot of things about love. All I know is that I have to give it what I got. Enough to love, and be loved in return. I know that it involves sacrifices. I do believe that I have sacrificed enough or maybe too much.
Ironically, it has been said that one should love unconditionally. But, I also learned that loving a person is a give and take relationship. You should give, in order to take. If you keep taking and not enough giving, someday you will run out of stuff to take and leave the other empty.
Newton's Law of interaction. "For every action, there is an equal or opposite reaction."
You love a dog and it gives you safety in return. You treat it with cruelty, it will fight back. If you hurt it, it will regress.
You love a human being, hope and pray that it realizes your worth enough to treat you with respect and the love that you deserve. Fingers-crossed it feels your pain.
ok here's the thing, im becoming too defensive about this now since I have just been called a self-centred crazy person by my partner.
First of all, I am clingy but not self-centred. There is a difference. I mean who wouldn't be. If you're a couple with the guy working during the day and the gal working til 12MN, for 4days in a week. And the remaining days, he is actually too tired to give a fuck as he also has football to prioritize. Who wouldn't ask for a day all to themselves. Note: just a day. I mean It's not like I put a lock on the door that says "you can't go out unless I said so." He can go, coz trust me there's nothing stopping him anyways. Not even me.
Second, pouring out all your emotions is not crazy. Its a natural reaction to things that makes you happy, sad, angry, or frustrated. Just in case you're not alive at the moment with no emotion to spare. That is also a natural reaction when her partner does not give a fuck about what she says. Who can't spare an ear for her when she needs it. Who turns his back and goes to sleep, snoring instead.
Third, Who would actually fcking get up at 6am on a weekend?! and give up the only day he can rest so he can watch football. And later on get cranky at me. I mean come on! I know a lot of football fans, but I have never met someone who would actually live by it or create a world around it. And maybe if I did, they'd still be single until now with nothing else to worry about. Coz as far as I know, there's a world out there beyond football. Even the most passionate people have a life outside their passion.
But tell me this, if you met someone and you tell her you want her and you "love" her, would you let football ruin what you have? by not giving her what she's been asking for which is your time, coz you just cant let go of football? and instead, why would you even call her names?
Turn it.
I turn my back when I know I need to.
I turn my back when I know its not for me.
I turn my back when its not the crowd I need.
I turn my back simply because I had to leave.
I envy people who are always in the right place at the right time. I wonder when will it happen for me.
Someday I will stop ranting and you will see words of admiration and positivity.
but for now
