TIME: 8 PM Wednesday night PLACE: Val’s apartment  NOTES: Zendaya’s coming over and Val is nervous as hell.

Val was incredibly happy right now. Just the smile on her face made his own light up. It was crazy how much of an impact the girl had on his life. Without her he’d still be some huge playa right now, probably recording the sequel to the WBB. “Hey no problem. You know how much I like to compliment you." He laughed and walked her over to the kitchen bar, pulling out one of the stools for her to sit on.  "Ah yeah, Anna’s mind tricks are the best. I swear I think she reads minds." Anna had been a huge help for him. She had kept him calm throughout his whole ‘Im inlove with a 16 year old’ freak out that he had been dealing with for quite some time now. It was incredible to realize just how much she meant to him. The true definition of a big sister. “Don’t let her get fiesty with ya though, Just get feisty right back." He chuckled, walking to the other side of the bar and leaning on his elbows. Val looked at her for a moment, just taking in the excitement of her actually being there with him, before turning around to pull the pizza out of the oven. He cut a few slices and put a plate out infront of her. When she mentioned his house he looked around, raising his eyebrow and smiling back at her. “Well thank you. You know how I like to keep it fly." he shrugged taking a bite of his pizza. “So, do you have anything you want to do tonight?"  

Zendaya:

"I don't think giving attitude towards a Russian lady is very good advice..." Zendaya teased while glancing back from her new spot and froze a bit seeing his eyes on her.

Shyly, Zendaya looked away from man's stare and studies the few family photos on his wall. It was cute to see him have such things on his wall, then again, Val was well known for being a family guy. That was one of (the many) things that really captured her about him. Zendaya twirled around hearing a plate clank against the bar table surface and made her way back over. "Thanks!" She chirped taking her seat and looking at the delicious piece of pizza now in front of her. It was funny, because such a thing made her feel more at home. As if pizza could be a person's comfort zone. 

Zendaya nibbled at it before darting her eyes up at Val and away from her food. "Um... I guess I haven't thought that far. But I'm up for anything really," She replied with a warm smile and propping herself up with one elbow on the bar and chin in hand. She completely felt as ease, just like Anna said she was. Curse that redhead for always being right!

ZENDAYA:

The door swung open and she was greeted by that oh-so-irresistible smile of his. Zendaya quickly returned it and leaned into his kiss. Was it possible for a person to actually melt into a pool of goop, because she's pretty sure she just did. Well, not literally! Wrapping her own arms around him, she couldn't stop the small shiver that ran down her spine from his warmth. She had it really bad. "Thanks Val," she replied happily at his compliment.

However, soon frowned at the loss of body contact but soon to find her hand in his, as if it was the most normal thing in the world to them. "Oh, you know Anna. She's amazing! Even if she does throw you off with all her mind tricks," Zendaya answered with a thoughtful smile before getting lost in the smell of pizza. It was sweet that he actually put in a pizza just for her. Val had always been on her for her junk food habit, well addiction is more what he called it! 

"Now that I think about it, I'm starving!" And it was true, then again she was always hungry for a slice of the 'zza. Her eyes wandered around the place and she had to admit he had good taste. However, it wasn't surprising. He dressed himself well so his pad should reflect his style! "Your place is really nice," Zendaya complimented as she strayed away from him to get a better look at some photos she spotted.

Knock. Knock. Knock. The sound of the door pulled Val out of this weird mood he had been in for the past few days. He was feeling all of a sudden incredibly giddy, but still very nervous. He hadn’t felt like such a teenaged boy in his entire life. Hell, even when he was a teenaged boy he didn’t feel like one. He had never needed to put much effort into women. They’d generally just come straight to him. He didn’t have to make any romantic gestures or anything like that because 99% of the time it had just been about the hook up. He hated feeling like this, like he was so new to everything. He wanted to make things perfect for Zendaya, but he just didnt know how. Val took a deep breath and walked towards the door, oepening it with a smile on his face. Zendaya looked just as beautiful as she always did. Her shorts were sinfully short (he contemplated getting onto her about that. People could see.) and they showed off her legs that went on for miles. She looked cute as hell in her sweatshirt and flats, and he was so glad she didn’t cake on the makeup. Zendaya looked at her most beautiful when she was natural.  "Wow, Daya, you look gorgeous." he smiled and leaned in to pull her in for a forhead kiss and a hug. “How’s your time with my favourite angry Russian?" He reached down to hold her hand, a gesture that he never thought twice about, and closed the door behind them.  "Do you want anything? I put a pizza in the oven earlier it should be about ready."

It had been entirely too long since Val had seen Zendaya. It was hard to go from seeing her every day to being without her for over a month. He missed her. Everything about her, really. Her hair, her long legs, her willingness to do whatever she could to do her best, the way she inspired kids, her laugh…. Everything. Seeing her the night before had been the best thing to had happened to him in a while. They got back into the swing of things really easily and quickly. It was as if they hadn’t skipped a beat. 

He was nervous as hell for tonight. He felt this crazy amount of pressure to make sure that his intentions were pure and that there wasn’t a single moment of awkwardness throughout the night. They were used to being alone together. It wasn’t the first time it had happened. But tonight was different. Tonight felt more like a date then a casual hangout. That was the scary part of the entire thing, because he didn’t know if either one of them were ready for their dynamic to change.  He sighed and walked over to his radio, turning on some quiet music to listen to while he waited for her to show up.  tonight was going to be interesting.

ZENDAYA:

The young girl walked up to the elevator and pressed the button nervously. She such a bundle of nerves, neither Anna's and or hers was helping her in this very moment. This was completely new. Val and her being completely alone, and not one pair of eyes would be on them tonight. Zendaya shifted from side to side, almost nearly jumping out of her skin when the elevator 'dinged'! Striding into the contraption, she pressed the number Val's apartment was located on and leaned against the mirrored wall. That gave her an idea, better look myself once over!

Turning to look at her reflection, she couldn't help but suddenly feel very self conscious. Which was new to her because she usually didn't care about her appearance so much. Yes, she had that off say but didn't all girls? This was all his doing! When the elevator came to a stop she hesitated walking out, maybe she could ride it a few times? Now that was just ridiculous! 

Zendaya picked her chin up and made her way out. Looking left and right, not sure which way the numbers went. When she figured that out it took no time to find his door. "Now or nothing... you've got this!" She whispered to herself before running her hands through her hair once and knocking.

Anna was initially startled by the volume and speed at which Zendaya was speaking but she just turned and faced her calmly, her tone level and reassuring. “It’s completely normal…but it’s also completely unnecessary. You’ll see what I mean when you;re actually with him. You probably won’t even remember that you were even nervous in the first place.:

She waited for Zendaya’s breathing to go back to normal and checked to see that she was fine as she pulled back from the hug. “I’m used to your freak-outs so no worries. Give Sir Sleep a hug from me…and if you can manage it steal him when you’re coming back. I love that grumpy little pup. Oh and have fun!" She smiled encouragingly as she turned the car engine back on, preparing to sit in her spot until she knew Zendaya had made it inside.

Zendaya took one more deep breath before throwing a smile at her right hand woman and sliding out of the car smoothly. Before she shut the door behind her she turned and stated, "I'll text you when I'm heading home. Just to give you a heads up not to lock me out." With that the young girl shut the door and stood there looking up over her shoulder at the building.

"Come on Daya... you can do this!" She cheered herself on before making her way up to the entrance. "It's just Val... being with him alone in his apartment is nothing!" Zendaya added trying give herself a boost, but it did nothing. Well here we go!

Anna had made the drive over to Val’s place more than enough times to know it without having to use GPS. She could probably drive there in her sleep if she ever had to. She switched the radio on and looked for something that could possibly take Zendaya’s mind of all the thoughts she knew were flitting around in her head. It was almost amusing how nervous she was. She’d literally spent over three months in Val’s constant company and now the thought of hanging out with him made her anxious.

"You’re really bad at hiding your emotions, y’know? At least, when there aren’t any cameras." She chuckled and slowed as she pulled up to the building slowly. “Deep breaths, please. Before you pass out or something. I’m not letting you out of this car until you’re nice and calm."

The drive didn't seem long, or perhaps it wasn't as long as Zendaya was hoping for. Her eyes had now wandered from each object the car quickly passed, and she counted them in her head. Ever since she could remember it helped calm her mind. Except when they rolled up to the building which Zendaya could only guess was Val's, everything hit her and she felt like all the air left her lungs. 

Then her ears perked to Anna's voice, the young girl had almost forgotten the drivers presence and whipped around to look at her. "Is it normal to feel this jittery? I mean, I've hung out with a lot of guys before but I've never felt this... thins out of it!" Zendaya spoke loudly and fast, and put a hand over her mouth when she noticed her volume. She was losing it and had to get a grip!

Zendaya took a few deep breaths, like Anna directed her, and hugged her body while looking at the entrance door. "Okay... sorry for the mini freak out. I'm good..."

Anna wagged her finger in Zendaya’s face playfully and shook her head. “I’m just saying, this is what sister’s are for. If it makes you feel any better, you’re welcome." She heard footsteps behind her before she turned around and saw Zendaya coming towards her. Flinging the front door open, she gestured to her with her head, signalling that she should lovk the door behind her,

As they made the short walk to her car, Anna thanked the heavens above that it wasn’t too hot out. Even in her light, loose clothes, she really couldn’t handle the heat at all. She could feel some of that tension from before coming off Zendaya and she shook her head and kept her thoughts to herself. She unlocked the doors and slid in, fastening her seat-belt as she waited for the younger girl to do the same.

Zendaya locked up the house before jogging to the passenger side of Anna's car and quickly got in. With a click, her seat belt was fastened and she was safety ready for the roads. She glanced over at Anna before adjusting herself in the seat to get comfy and stare out the window. So many things were running through her head, what if everything was horribly awkward or she said something completely childish?  

Her shoulders slumped a bit but she kept her eyes on the road as the car drove. Maybe Anna would take a wrong turn and they'd get lost! Then she could get out of it and have more time to prepare. Zendaya shook her head, what the hell was her problem? Plus she had to keep her cool or Anna would use her spidey senses and get into her head.

It was funny, she’d been on the show for years and made many great friendships, but this was the first time that she’d been so close to a celebrity that wasn’t actually partnered with her. She’d gotten along with Zendaya from the moment they’d met and they’d kept in touch ever since. 

Anna glanced over at the pair of shoes Zendaya had picked and nodded in approval. She hugged the taller girl back and waved her hand dismissively at the show of gratitude. “You don’t need to thank me, sweetie, it’s my pleasure." She slipped through the front door first, grabbing her car keys out of her purse and picking her phone up off the couch where she left it before waiting for Zendaya to catch up by the door.

The young girl rolled her eyes at Anna and half shrugged, "I know I don't have to, but I want you to know regardless!" Zendaya couldn't believe how confident the Russian woman was but she could never take compliments. Then again, most women couldn't. She started to follow behind be quickly peeled around and head for her room. She had to grab a few things like a jacket and such, you never know what you may need until it happens!

Zendaya quickly ran downstairs and said after catching a breath, "'Kay, sorry I'm ready now!"

The weather was nice today, a nice breeze hit her face as she made her way to the car and she thanked it for helping her body become less tense. Even after Anna reassuring her she still felt uneasy, because well it was Val. One look and she was putty in his hands.
