I’m in the middle of a Magnus Archives Roleplaying game and have DM-ed thirteen sessions set in a pre-canon timeline (my players are all archivists assistants who were hired to process statements while Gertrude was running around the world tracking down Ritual leads).

Highlights so far:

One of my players is a Hunter inspired by traditional golems rather than an animal-adjacent hunter

One of my players is accidentally just doing Martin Blackwood’s Lonely arc, which is entirely unintentional because they have never listened to the podcast and everyone else finds it too funny and entertaining to play to point out

I have a player who cannot do a British accent (we’re all USAmericans) and decided their character is a widower from Texas and becoming an avatar of the End after losing his wife to the Desolation

I have a PC who is doing her damndest to seduce Elias Bouchard, going so far as to leave her curtains open when she sleeps, to be better seen

I have a PC who is a 19-year-old Twilight obsessed girl who is convinced she’s going to find out vampires are real (she is right and in so much danger)

God I love this table and this game and this world and I made one of them cry last night hehehe

Avatar of the End PC had to put down a Hunt-aligned PC so they could not only snap out of their Hunt-induced fugue, but become an avatar in their own right
