Illuminated letters project, and White on black project displays. -year 6 Rivers international school
Plant project i did with the children. I taught one child how to make an Albert Heijn Moestuintje. That child had to teach another, and so on. Now we have our own garden in the classroom that the children need to tend to.
Summer Camp 2017, year 6 & 7.
This year, Arnhem international school, situated in Dutch primary school Dr. Aletta Jacobs moved to their own building, and changed their name to Rivers International School.
I got to help pack up the old classroom, and unpack the new one. quite the interesting experience.

Two methods we used in River International school, year 6 to help us teach spelling to our children.
Japanese choir stopped by our school. They sang a few lovely tunes, while the children listened. some choir members are also parents to the school!

Parting gifts from my teacher, the children and their parents.
I was able to give year 6 all their ICT lessons, in my time there. We covered everything from internet safety to reliability, and ultimately, building our own websites.

Children were learning about air pressure, and how to launch a rocket.
Walk for water event.
Children were carrying 6kilos of water for 6 kilometres. with the 1.600 euro’s raised in year 6 and 7, children in Africa are able to access wells in their region.
As part of our topic; Local Environment, we arranged a city walk.
We walked our class through Arnhem’s City Centre and visited many interesting places, like Sonsbeek Park (picture), Airborne at the Bridge, and Rozet’s Erfgoed Museum.

Africa Day at Rivers International School, Arnhem.
Presentations were given by people (parents and students) from various African countries. We enjoyed songs, dances, clothes, and artworks.
