Polyamory is safe for work. Polyamory is safe for kids. Polyamory is safe for day time tv. Polyamory isn’t more sexual than any other relationship and it can be just as romantic, sweet, and healthy.
Aggressively reblogs.
I’m boy even poly, and yes.
Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people
please keep talking about how Becky from Maryland doesn't like the rising gas prices. It's clearly the more pressing issue.
I think ignoring things as the places we're just used to seeing as hot hellholes tip over into death traps is a real threat.
I mean, as an American, I'm used to news about heat waves in India. People saying "it's real hot in India!" just kind of fades into the background.
I literally just didn't know it was happening.
I'm not super attuned to the news atm, but holy shit that's over 113 Farenheit.
Obligatory trans woman's ramblings about Trans Jax.
Originally, I didn't really see much into it. I headcanoned it, but more in the "this would be a pretty fun thing to explore in fanfic."
I joked about it in episode 5 with the maid outfit, but I wasn't *really* sure about it.
I joked about it in episode 6 with the Chicken Fetus in an egg line.
It was episode 8 that actually made me think about it. Two things about it, to be specific:
First was Caine's torture of Jax. The very specific way she covered herself up after the mask was literally peeled away read as being very feminine. Specifically, the way women tended to cover themselves when their bodies were exposed in media.
The second thing was TBskyen's analysis of that episode. I saw it, then I went back and watched the whole series again and I was like... oh. Oh no. Oh my sweet baby girl.
So, when the finale came out, I was fully ready to read into it with this new lens and...
I wasn't disappointed. But more than that, I felt seen
Jax, to me, reminds me of the kind of person I used to be, before I transitioned. This... Miserable, cynical, spiteful little shit. Why didn't I get to be a girl? Why did they get there without even trying? Don't they know how lucky they have it? To be able to wear dresses and be pretty. I didn't express it the same way Jax did, I was quieter. I didn't mask it nearly as well as she did. I was a piece of shit.
I want to hate Jax. I want to hate that person.
But I can't.
Because both of them were suffocating under the crushing weight of unwanted masculinity. Like a thousand pebbles piled onto your back, while more kept piling on.
Sure, leaning into the pebbles could shake them off, but the pebbles never stop coming down, and eventually you'll run out of room for them to fall down, and you'll have nowhere to go.
The only way to stop the weight is to stop the pebbles falling on you. I learned that lesson before it was too late.
I look at Jax, and I see what would have happened if I hadn't, or if I wasn't able to
Both were deserving of love
"if Jax is a trans woman she's still an abuser so she's bad representation so the show is transphobic" you're an idiot. you want your blorbos to be perfect ideal angels, I want my blorbos to be realistic, nuanced, flawed human beings, we are not the same. I LIKE that she's messy and fucked up and problematic, I think it's a realistic depiction of how a lot of repressed and traumatized trans women are. I think the show goes to great lengths to explore how and why she is the way she is, and to evoke sympathy for this kind of person. it doesn't excuse her actions but it does make them understandable. and I think the fact women like that deserve sympathy is an idea worth stating and worth shouting. yes she's a bully and she hurt everyone around her and that may never change. she still deserves sympathy.
rb-ing again cause i agree v much
what the hell sure
Did you know? It's make a terrible comic day. Go make your terrible comic today!!!!
Of course dust queen has to die out while fucking frwby gets to live its putrid little life. Because god is dead

You're right and you should say it.
Fuckin hate the Blue Angels man.
The day that the Blue Angels have 0 haters I am no longer among you.
Do you ship arculus rift (jaune x penny)?
X
do you ship it?
yes
neutral
no
curious about it but don't know how I feel about it.
its jauneship slop burn it (fuck you if you pick this answer - glitch)
Reasons to ship it: it's cute.
Reasons to not: no interaction.
"Jauneship slop" has been added to your vocabulary!"
'You can't just say it's jauneship slop to every m/f Jaune ship!'
"Fuck you I do what I want."
Every ship involving Jaune is slop. He’s Sloppy Jaune. He’s a sandwich.
Arkos is the one exception.
Yeah.
I hate that canon Jaune, who is somewhat interesting, has blended so thoroughly with fanon Jaune, who is the anathema of everything that makes the show great, in my head that I can't engage with the former without invoking the latter.
Kinda stuck on how much I like him with Jessica cruz from the xover movies to be honest
Jessica Cruz worked surprisingly well.
I'm sure that if Pyrrha had lived, "she's too good for him" would be a common refrain.
I mean, I'll be honest, I just like all the f/f ships better because they're f/f. "Identifying more with the lesbians" has been a pretty influential tenet in my life.
Early Jaune? Yes.
Later Jaune?
Hmmm... give her some estrogen. As a treat.
"Jaune, the short banana hair is not working out, let's try growing it out a bit".
"Pyrrha I don't know what you've been doing with these meals but I've been feeling way happier! Also I've noticed some flabbiness on my chest, but I kinda like it?"
Pyrrha: "So this is what Blake was on about..."
Something I've actually genuinely come to appreciate about RWBY in my most recent re-watch is that... No character is treated entirely as the butt of the joke.
Even the characters who are intended to be more comedic in nature get their moments where they show more about them. for instance, Caroline Cordovin is a bombastic, fanatical supporter of Atlas who is surrounded by sycophants who repeat her every other sentence and has a stick so far up her ass that she's a Popsicle in all but name. yet, In the 5 episodes she appears, almost entirely as an antagonist we also learn that: She's spiteful, never letting go of a grudge, and will ensure that any perceived slight is punished to the full extent of her power. She holds a fairly obvious prejudice against the faunus, and buys fully into the SDC's hype, although that might be because it's a symbol of Atlesian prosperity She is observant and quick thinking, adapting fairly quickly to the changing situation (For instance, she figures out very quickly that Maria was trying to play her into opening up her missile pods so Ruby could shoot the missiles and potentially destroy the whole arm. And, when Ruby dives into the cannon to fire at the massive dust crystals, she points the cannon upwards to try and ensure she falls into the volatile dust crystals.) Despite all her apparent spite for the people of Argus for protesting the embargo, she genuinely takes pride in her job as a protector, as even when she's ranting and raving at RWBYJNOR about how the Leviathan attack is their fault, her expression shows that she's ashamed. Partly because she couldn't beat a bunch of teenagers and a stolen gunship with a big fuckoff colossus, but also because Her display of force backfired so spectacularly that the people she was supposed to protect are now practically defenseless against a threat that her colossus was literally designed to fight. Now, most of that pride comes from the power she wields, but also, I think, she genuinely wants to help people. These little things are ultimately unnecessary, as she is largely a comedic character, but the fact that they gave someone who could have just been a 1 note comedic character who facilitates a cool big mecha fight into a genuinely kind of interesting character. Shit like that is part of why I love this show.
I mean I think cordovin was also intended as a foreshadow of what atlas as a whole would be like, she’s a reflection of the kingdom itself.
I actually made a similar point in another post!
