A Hero and a Villain (Maleficent)
"In the end, my kingdom was not united by a hero or a villain as legend predicted, but by one who was both hero and villain. Her name was Maleficent.”

But, as many thought whenever they saw the graceful figure soaring through the air, it took a great hero and a terrible villain to make it all come about. And her name was Maleficent.

Before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel… AND DIE.

She hated the feeling of sand on her skin. Well actually, she hated sand in general. It always got in the most uncomfortable of places and it proved to be quite an inconvenience to her, but here she was. At the beach with nearly complete strangers and Mal wasn't so sure how she really felt about that.
She sighed as she stared at the view of the ocean she had from her room, the room she shared with some other people who were strangers to her.
Still... It can't be so bad, right?
She bit her lip, not entirely too sure about that, but she had to deal with it. This was a vacation after all and it'd be pretty pointless of her not to try to enjoy it at the least.
And... she supposed trying to get to know her roomies a bit wouldn't kill her...
Mal heard the door from behind her open and quickly she snapped her head, awaiting for whoever it was. Must be a roommate of hers. Well, might as well try to be friendly.
"Oh I love…I love that kind of stuff. I mean, you’ve known me for awhile, anything…you stick me on a rig or fly me around or something, I do get really happy. I’m a big kid at heart."
Disney Villains Week - Favorite Outfit MALEFICENT
The design for Maleficent's clothes occurred to Davis when he was looking through a book on Medieval art; one of the manuscript images featured a religious figure with long robes, the ends of which resembled flames. Davis incorporated this into Maleficent's final design. [x] Early designs feature Maleficent's signature dress in red instead of purple.
