"Great," he said with a nod as he slowed his breathing down to catch his breath, as he was no longer in a rush. He was thankful for not being too late, as he wasn't exactly someone who liked to do so. As they walked from the front to their assigned table, Brad couldn't help but chuckle to himself at the bizarre circumstances surrounding his friendship with Xavier. "You know, we probably have one of the strangest starts to a friendship," he pointed out as he sat down and placed the napkin upon his lap and taking a sip of the water. "And to answer your question, yes. Things are doing pretty well. How about you? Anything out of the ordinary happen as of late?"

Noting the conscious way Brad slowed his breathing down, Xavier could not fully hide his amused smile. It wasn't often that friends rushed to make the time to be with him. Sometimes he had to remind himself that people in the US were much more invested and genuine in their friendships than he had known his fellow cuntry men to be. Hearing Brad crack up, Xav glanced over at him with both curiosity and mirth. "We probably do. Its rare that a guy I considered my competition in the bar wants to hang out later." he agreed with a grin, leaving the menu be for now to hold up his end of the conversation. "That is great to hear. Every buisness has its ups and downs. I can't say it has. Well, apart from this stunning girl I met recently. For once its been great to get to know someone past the first hook up."

Nodding as he understood, August could see why the other chose to keep his business life professional, not letting it effect him emotionally. August too tried his best to do that, but sometimes it was just too close to home. That was sadly part of being in the field he was in; it was nearly impossible to not become emotionally invested. "I definitely try, but, sadly it's a lot harder to be emotionless when you work for the morgue." he admitted. Though August was sure the other knew that; he didn't need to explain himself. He was relieved when the other confirmed the paperwork he had was what he needed, and he offered a small smile at the assistant who came in, returning his attention back to the lawyer only once she was gone. Xavier could imagine that August's profession was one where being professional might actually become a hindrance to offer the type of support and care grieving families might need. He understood why, and he had the utmost respect for him being able to navigate that on a day to day basis. It had to take a certain emotional toll. And then being a father on top of it.. Suffice to say the man sitting in front of him was one that impressed him. "I can only imagine.. your clients probably require a lot more emotion and care from you than mine ever would." he said with a knowing nod. Moving the proceedings along was good at this point. They might have strayed a bit off topic, but for once Xavier was glad of it as he had gained a new friend in the process. He ought to check if August was free for drinks or something in a week or two. "Excellent. Then I will send it by email. And absolutely. If at any point you require a physical copy, we will have it stamped and notarized within the day for you." Looking over his notes, Xavier slowly shook his head. "No I have everything I need to proceed. If anything should come up I will call you." he assured before offering his hand for August to shake. "Thank you for coming in and for taking the time for us to get to know one another. Maybe we can get together outside the office in a bit?"

Inwardly, she knew he was right. And Teagan managed to bite back the retort that threatened to escape. Because she'd already snapped at him once -- and apologized, which was a rare occurrence. She didn't want to have to do it again. But the calm scold makes Teagan's ears burn, and she bites down on the inside of her cheek. His next comment seems genuine, however, and she lets out a small hum, lips pursed. "I'm supposed to have dinner with my parents, so we'll see." There was no guarantee how that would turn out. Looking at her, he could tell it went against her nature to hold her tongue. The first impression being that she was feisty and rather blunt. Rough around the edges. His words clearly not easing the urge to lash out. Which had been the point really. While passive aggressiveness wasn't Xavier's main style, he found it amusing to use it when the other party was hot headed. Given his work he was far too used to other goading him or looking to strike nerves or make him wobble under pressure. Which left him fairly good at controlling his emotions and expressions. Being able to think before he spoke or reacted. "And that's usually a good time?" he guessed. "If I were in your shoes it would guarantee a miserable evening." he chuckled under his breath at the irony.

Evren had to admit, he had a feeling from the moment this man had walked in that he was going to be one of the more difficult clients he'd dealt with. It wasn't that Evren minded people that knew what they wanted, it was more so the people that had complicated tattoos and were being so picky the artists creativity was no longer their own. He was all for making the clients happy, but when it hindered his own ability of self expression he had to draw a line. And there was something about this male that Evren had sensed would be a little particular the moment that he'd walked in the door. He waited to check out the other guy's expression after he explained what it was each artist was capable of, and he nodded when he stated that himself of Leo would be the ones he was most interested in. "Please, call me Evren." he spoke, leaving out the typical 'Mr. Osman is my father'; that statement was overused on more than one occasion. As the other mentioned that he wanted a family crest, Evren nodded. "I've done a few of those myself. " he added, picking up his phone and going to his social media account where he'd promoted the two best ones he could remember and showed them to the guy, the first one being a smaller arm piece but intricate in detail while the second one was much larger, and a back piece which the other stated he wanted. "Leo's style tends to lead a little more cartoony. And that's not me saying he's not right for the job, I believe that he could handle it if you wanted him to. He just likes that style for more sincere pieces whereas mine is a little more traditional. I want it to represent what it's supposed to." he spoke. Xavier could tell that the other was beginning to see that this would not be a cut and dry job he could easily bang out. He wasn't just any customer. Then again that was what he wanted Evren to know. There was no use hiding his true intentions and needs as a customer because then he wouldn't get what he wanted in the end. It was the true mark of a great artist, who could balance what the client was asking for, and their own form of self expression in their art. Xavier had no doubt Evren was that kind of artist, based on the questions he had asked. "Of course. And please call me Xavier." he said with a nod of respect. Personally he was quite used to going by his last name, especially in a work capacity. But since it was refreshing to distinguish work from personal life, especially in this quaint small town, he had started giving out his first name more often. One of the many small changes about him since he and his sister had moved here. "Yeah? Excellent." Interest flamed in his brown orbs, as he patiently waited while images were clearly being located. Once two were shown to him, Xavier could not help but arch his eyebrows in both a tiny bit of surprise and admiration. Those were pretty immaculate. There was hard to find any apparent flaws in both design and style. Nodding to what was being said, he took the liberty of scrolling trough some of the other photos on the social media account that clearly was Evren's online portfolio. After the fifth photo, he had no need to see more. It was very clear that this was the man for the job. "No discredit to Leo, I am sure he is very proficient as well. But I do like your style and sense of realism. I'd very much like us to look over the design I have and come up with a final piece. I don't want a full on replica, so there's definitely room for you to express yourself in the design as well. What I have is a base idea."

Celine, while joking, had been a bit serious about wanting the plaque from him. It'd look nice on her desk at work, and it would give her something to remember this stupidly handsome and charming British man by. "I'll hold you to that." She grinned up at him, but couldn't deny the surge of excitement that flowed through her. Even if he was only being a charming man and just telling her what she wanted to hear. Maybe he did think this was only a joke. "Girlish?" She laughed. "Now I take offense to that. This is very serious business and therefore needed a very serious way to seal the deal. You can't break a pinky promise, you know." Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she stared at the man, feeling the effects of the alcohol. But he still locked his pinky with hers and shook. She could only grin in response. "Some would call me opinionated." She laughed. With him looking at her like that, Celine could imagine them getting closer. She could imagine those lips on her body. Maybe how he would sound in bed. Oh, yes, her thoughts were taking a very naughty turn with the way he was looking at her. Celine felt the blood rush to her cheeks as she blushed. That feeling didn't leave when he won and his words dripped with a double meaning. "Xavier." She repeated his name, her own lips brushing against his before he captured her lips in a kiss. She felt breathless as his lips collided with hers, her own movements turning hungry as a spark ran through her. She closed her eyes, chills running up her spine when his one hand scraped against the edge of her white dress, silently asking for permission to move up. She gave it, her legs parting slightly as she kissed him back eagerly. When he finally gave her a chance to come up for air, she was grateful he only kissed up her jawline, leaving a heated trail in his path. "I'd like that a lot." She whispered, her chest heaving slightly.

Her humor and ease was so damn attractive. She was so full of life and laughter, while also being sweet and coy. Xavier found himself wildly intrigued and even curious to learn more about her. So what if he couldn't ever commit to her? He could and decidedly would still enjoy every second in her company. "It will be at your door in two days." He confidently told her, meaning every word. He would have it arranged for when he woke up in the morning. She might think he was only joking or saying what he thought she would like him to, but he was serious. And he hoped she would send him a picture or something of herself with it once she had it. "Yeah! There are lots of serious ways to make a promise. An oath, a blood promise, a handshake, swearing on a parents grave." he listed several, unable not to chuckle at her rebuttal. He'd only made pinky promises with is baby sister, and those he never broke, so in all fairness, she might be onto something. "And I would say self assured. It is alluring." He admitted, eyes still swirling with naughty ideas and deep felt lust. If he didn't have the restraint he did, he would have pulled her into the bathroom with him to have her right then, right there. But he wanted more than a quick fuck with her. His thumb stroked over her warmed cheek, wondering what she was thinking. Seeing as she responded in kind, just as hungry as he felt, it was hard to break away from their searing kiss. He settled for tasting her skin, as his fingers sliding up beneath her dress now that she had given him the go ahead. Nails teasing the soft skin of her inner thighs, while the palm of his left hand pressed against her clothed core, griding down a bit, his wrist moving in small circles which she would be sure to feel. "My car is right outside. I'm ready to go. How about you?" he whispered in her ear again, nipping at her earlobe and tracing the shell of her outer ear with his tongue.

A homebody at heart, Komodo was hardly Nora’s haunt of preference, particularly on a Friday night. Or any establishment of New Bellevoux’s night life scene, for that matter. She much preferred the calm and familiar comforts of the apartment, though, in truth, spending a spontaneous night on the town had done wonders for her post-divorce confidence. And now, after, a few rounds of overpriced drinks from overly complimentary club-goers, she understood the appeal. 

Nora had been conversing with someone who fell into the latter category, who, as time went on, had proven to be decent company. That wasn’t saying a whole lot given her current prospects, but he had been a pleasant distraction, all the same. She hadn’t really been sure how much time had actually passed; it was safe to assume it had been an hour or two at least, given that he had just ordered the pair of them a third round of drinks. Or was it their fourth? Between the flashing lights, the pounding music, and their shared attempts at idle conversation, it was one of the last things she had paid particularly close attention to. 

The same could not be said of her brother, when Nora saw him storming towards the pair of them. It all happened so quickly: a raised voice, a pair of raised hands, and the swift departure of the man she was sure she would never see again. “Was that really nass… cessa… nec… we were only talking!” Nora huffed, standing to her feet in exasperation, an effort that caused her to practically crash into Xavier and the club-goers in their immediate vicinity. “I’m fine! Just fine! Don’t I look and sound fine to you?” A question she intended to be completely rhetorical, one she definitely didn’t want him answering; even in her current state, it was’t one she was ready to hear. 

“Well, he said I looked fine. More than fine. Why did you have to scare off my last chance to find a husband? Do you want me to be a single old bat forever?!”

Given the fact that his sister was reeling from a heavy divorce and other medical outcomes he could barely make himself think of; this was the last place Xavier would have expected to find her. Her heart had been shattered many times over and she was very vulnerable right now. He'd thought she would be at home on the couch with a good book. Keeping herself and her heart safe from strangers that would certainly do more harm than good. Especially some ragtag small town American with their flimsy southern charm aimed only to bed another girl for another notch in their bedpost.. No the last place Nora should be was here.

And despite it all she was. Which meant that he had to thread carefully to avoid both a scene and resistance if he were to successfully get her out of here in a timely manner. He suspected that despite their co habbitating she was getting lonely and with a few drinks under her belt, she suddenly had the courage to talk to another male that she was not related to. Maybe she'd even considered bedding one to feel something different. Well not on his watch. His arms gently went to her shoulders when she all but fell into him, trying to steady her slight frame. "Talking turns to other indesencies fairly quickly at this hour sweetheart. I am only looking out for you." he said, calm and almost quiet in response to her drunken dramatics. This wasn't the first time he'd dealt with his baby sister in a drunken state. Her emotions would be all over the place which made her hard to predict, though commonly she calmed faster if he remained calm himself.

Very rarely would one find a potential friend in the same man that had hit on the very same woman you had. But for Brad and Xavier, that is exactly what had happened. What was supposed to be a night of flirting, turning into a night of shame and laughter for Brad. Brad, after turning on the charm had stepped up to the plate to flirt with a beautiful woman only to go down swinging after finding out she was not interested. Not just not interested in him, but not interested in men at all. So cutting his losses, Brad hung out at the bar and after a little while saw another man attempt the same thing he just tried to. It was like looking in a mirror and watching an instant replay. So after the other failed, Brad went over to him and bought him a drink. That was three months ago and fast forward to now, those very same guys had struck up the most random of friendships. "Hey man sorry I'm late, I got stuck filling out paperwork at the practice." He said to Xavier as he met him at the restaurant.

It was rather rare for Xavier to have made friends over a failed conquest. He wasn't someone other men looked at and immediately thought would make a decent friend or wing man. He supposed they were rather threatened than warmed to him based on his looks, his expensive clothing and love of high shelf whiskey and expensive wine. Which was why it was humorous still to this day that he and Bradley had got on so well. Maybe it was the slight age difference that did it, or the fact that the other was very good natured and well mannered. Regardless, Xavier was glad to have a friend to spend time with in New Bellevux. Aside from his work which could be rather all consuming, and his nightly endavours, and of course his baby sister, he found his time table was often all filled up. Waiting for Brad at the front desk to be seated at Dino's steakhouse, Xavier could not recall having visited the place before. Maybe because the menu reminded him of his parents luxury cabin trips where his father would force him and his older brother to come hunting for their dinner, often demanding that they either watched or participated if the kill was large and had to be flayed before dinner. None were particularly pleasant memories. Once his friend showed up, he smiled with a knowing nod. "No need to apologize, I haven't waited that long." he said reassuringly. Giving his name to the waitstaff, he fell in step next to Brad until they were at the table. "I assume things are going well these days?" he asked curiously. Brads profession was so far from his own that he was always a bit intrigued.

"Do you plan on moving any time soon? You're blocking half the isle." Teagan huffed, though as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she knew the attitude wasn't warranted. But he was standing in front of the grated cheese brand that she wanted, and had been for almost a full minute. Biting the inside of her cheek, the blonde took a breath, adjusting her tone before she spoke again. "Sorry, it's been a long day."

Arching an eyebrow as he turns towards the stranger, Xavier can't help the steely glint in his eye at the attitude. "Free country is it not? Politeness gets you much further, just a tip for next time." He says, eerily calm as he steps to the side to let her pass. Its rare that a pretty woman is tense with him for no reason, though given the heavy breath and her apology, she must not be in the best headspace at the moment. "That's alright. We've all had one of those. I do hope it turns around for you." he offers, having decided since she first spoke not to stoop to a level where he would snark back. Its not worth the possible escalation, especially now that she's apologized.
