{all of these work for me}
* focus on clean eatingā limiting sugar, dairy, and carbs, and if you have a sugar craving specifically, eat a little fruit (what keeps me from eating that bad shit is my fear of acne; yes, ofc weight gain and bloating too, but acne actually visibly shows on your skin and who wants to see that also the more healthy you eat, the better it will actually taste. trust me<3)
* use small plates/bowlsā take time to prep your meals. spread out and separate what you are having to cover the whole plate. ofc sometimes eating from bigger dishware is unavoidable, ex. some holiday like Thanksgiving. if that happens, try to fill your plate with primarily vegetables. however still in this case, do your best to never finish whatās on your plate
* cut your food into smaller pieces; make a little seem like a lot then, limit furtherā ex. cutting a plain burger patty in 1/2, and one of those halfās into small pieces while leavening that other half alone, on the plate remember, less is always better<3
* chew your food slowly and thoroughly
* enjoy your meal but donāt finish before othersā match pace with who your around, perhaps to give the illusion that your eating as much. do not make it obvious; engage in the conversation more to help as a distraction
* drink 3-4 full glasses of water before eating (gradually within about 30-45 minutes so u donāt get sick), or/and, have āsipsā of water between bites
* always prepare if your going to eat heaver mealsā ex. i have Bloom before to help with bloating and digestion, and about an hour after i eat or whenever i get home i have an acv shot. sometimes i will have ginger too, just depends (i use the ready-to-use paste, about as much as the length of my finger). lastly, i always have a cup of Hyleyās Slim Tea (tried it yesterday and already is a go-to <3) before bed as a natural laxative and digestion aid. if i decide to fast after that consecutive day, i will normally continue this for 1-2 days
* drink water, lots and LOTS of waterā add 100% lemon or lime juice everyday to at least two 32oz bottles; it helps curb hunger, speed up your metabolism, and reduce bloating (i do this at work so i donāt eat)
* tea and coffeeā literally the best, but really try to cut/limit out the sweetener and additives (sugar is sugar, despite it being 0 cal, and u honestly really donāt need it; get the sugar you need from fruit)
* diets drinksā i personally try to limit myself because of ānonexistentā sugar (again, even if it says 0). however, caffeine is caffeine, and if i get super tired at work specifically, i will get one
*juiceā most juice brands add sugar anyways (even the all natural ones) and if they donāt, still get in the habit of cutting that shit out of your diet. you donāt need it. ofc if you do crave juice, have something low cal on a meta day (like an Sparkling Ice [5cal]), or the recommended serving size when having a singular glass. yet even better, make a small smoothie; you want to know what you put into your body. remember, do not drink your cals
*you have to make it seem as if your actually eating, if around peopleā start leaving wrappers around the house, eat (throw away) some leftover meals and dirty a plate, etc. . . saying you ate at work or school will not work forever. u need to make them actually see evidence of food. plan your meals so when you do eat, they see. trust me<3
* continuous movementā doesnāt matter what, just burn calories (i walk at least 10k steps everyday at work, even if i decide to workout or not that night. on my days off i try to focus primarily on reps. ofc rest days are okay, so please donāt beat yourself up if u didnāt meet your goal)
* probioticsā eat foods that promote gut health; remember, eat clean
* fastingā be mindful that metabolic adaptation can occur in as little as two weeks, so donāt overdo it. we all know the saying ācanāt be skinny if you deadā so if u do break a fast, itās okay. thereās always tomorrow<3
*brushing your teethā i was actually skeptical about this one, but it does work (i like to do it all; brush and then floss, mouthwash, and then do whitening strips or whatever when iām really craving something)
* we all know this, but distraction; find ways to keep yourself occupiedāresearch something interesting, do something you like, or try something new (thereās infinite possibilities, just keep exploring)
*gumā itās a staple, but try not to have too much (i personally like fruit flavors most; i just canāt chew the others on an empty stomach easily. sometimes i treat a piece as if itās a meal. surprisingly, it works for me and honestly makes me just drink more water)
* chia seedsā they are an excellent source of fiber (when i need a pick-me-up, i have 1 tbsp with a glass of water instead of actually eating (like celery, grapefruit, or a few almonds) then just continue to fast. i hardly ever do this though in general, meaning i donāt like to cut my fasts short; i do everything to avoid breaking them. i only do this when i really need to)
* chili peppers and hot sauce/seasoningsāa really good way to help boost your metabolism; if spice makes you uncomfortable, try to start slowly and build a tolerance (i like to pickle/jar the chili peppers i get and i usually just add few or something to every meal)
* food log/plannerā i know that this is controversial, but i personally like to keep track of what i eat and when (really, it gives me something to do). i also like to plan out ahead of time (as in weeks) of what exactly iām going to eat and when/how long iām going to fast, including meta days. i count calories usually that āscheduledā day before i eat so i donāt go over. idk, i do this to make sure iām getting enough of everything, or at least a taste, so i donāt get horrible cravings and binge really bad. however, do NOT obsess; treat it as a guideline
*choose qualityā hereās the thing; we all are gonna have binge and meta days, and wether you b/p or not, your still eating calories. itās inevitable. nonetheless, whatās important is that you to pay attention to what you put into your body. IF you want something, ex. Alfredo pasta, get some low cal brand that has healthy, natural ingredients (i found one that is a full meal and about 330 cals, while also being dairy free) if you end up bingeing, try doing so on options like this rather than the high caloric one
