finally announcing the title of my illustrated novel, 'the stygian trade'. likely releasing sometime next year, with lots of art dropping in the meantime.

When Amaris, a broody witch, reluctantly joins with the obnoxious redhead Ruby for a temporary job, it opens the gates to the discovery of how Stygian Coins are used in the Valley: trade your memory, and you can escape old age. But the repercussions of this spread further than they can imagine...

Hey, this message is a well-intentioned suggestion; to begin, your art is very nice! But the promo images that are posted here are very low-res. It makes the dialogue very difficult to read, and hides the true quality of your art. If viewers can't easily read and understand what is happening in a comic, then they are likely to ignore it!

I know that Tumblr limits files sizes, but if there was a way to work around the issue (like increasing the resolution but decreasing the dimensions of the image) I think your promotional posts would attract more people to your comic!

okay so when i load these images, they are high res, then they turn into low res potatoes, then once they post, I see them as high res again. i am literally looking at a hi res version of the most recent post right now.

i really, really, really do not have the time or energy to go through every post and re-upload with a cropped single panel. i guess that's what i'll be doing in future posts, though.

apologies to everyone/anyone who sees just shit-ass fucking potato jpegs on my feed.

tumblr is infuriating. social media is infuriating.

teaser + name reveal for my summer project: SUSURRUS

inspired by elements of the films 'moon' and 'interstellar' and the soft decay of 'yokohama kaidashi kikou'.

'susurrus' is a scifi comic that revolves around whisper, a lone warden of extraplanetary radio towers on an abandoned planet learning that you have to find your own reason to keep going, even when you get left behind.

i developed whisper after cutting off a toxic parent and then my other parents and siblings moved to the other side of the continent, leaving me with a desperate sense of aloneness only exacerbated by the quarantines of 2020. writing whisper's story was my way of finding hope and peace in that solitude.
