Exploring music and thoughts about music, giving perspective on one of humans greatest artforms. This is also a genre specific free zone. I started to DJ occasionally at parties and in the studentradio in the 80s, just at the early days of house music. For years I wrote about music in newspapers and played records at parties. In the last two decades I had other priorities, but never stopped collecting music. Nowdays I have more time and has restarted as a DJ just for the fun and for the never ending love of music.

Downpitched in way that the track almost stops completely. If you know the original track Mopedbart you will understand (the track of the year 2013 IMO).
Chamber music says Pitchfork. Reflecting a psychological trauma, says the label Smalltown Supersound about Biosphere, AKA Geir Jenssen, and his new album Departed Glories, released 23rd of september.
Many times before Biosphere has made use of samples taken from popular culture in Russia and Eastern Europe. No exception this time but he now uses more of folk music recordings from the eastern hemisphere.
Biosphere is probably the most famous ambient musician, being true to the genre for more than 20 years.
Aside from this album 2016 Geir Jenssen has also put out a new EP and reissue his second album, Patashnik, via his own label Biophon.
Update: The new album was available via Youtube, but now its gone. Support Biosphere and buy the album via Bandcamp.

This is the B-side of latest release from DJ Fett Burger, at the moment our favorite Norwegian space cadet. No-No 4 B is essentially a remix of the A-side, Fett Burger build a swampy atmosphere in a 15-minute epic, full of small but unexpected moments, hypnotic and banging in a dark and woozer way. The track reminds a bit of early FSOL and the ambient house era in the early 90s.
Camp Cosmic is by far the music festival I missed to visit this summer. located in a forest outside of Leipzig July 22-24. The festival started as an outdoor event in rural Sweden 2011. Mix by norwegian spacedisco-producer Rune Lindbæk from Camp Cosmic 2015 at a Gotland in Baltic Sea.
Mental Overdrive (Per Martinsen) is another Norwegian pioneer in ambient or ambient house. In the 90′s he opened up for the coming space disco era in Norway. Like Geir Jenssen (Biosphere) Per Martinsen is originally from Tromsø, in the far north of Norway. The track is from from the first album as Mental Overdrive 1995.
