I believe nostalgia is a negative emotion. Yet, as things keep getting worse, I indulge it more and more. I still try hard to be in the present, but my mind is often far away from whatever's actually going on around me. I'm not happy about it.

Got voluntold to do a big physical job that starts in a few hours, but I haven't been able to sleep. Serves me right for always being a nocturnal sort, I suppose. We'll see if I survive how hot it's supposed to be today.

my boss has a book about the history of modern piercing style in america and its relation to leather daddies (its more of a first hand historical recounting of a man who ran one of the first piercing shops) and this photo in it has always enamored me

the book is titled "Running The Gauntlet: An Intimate History of the Modern Body Piercing Movement"

she actually does follow the pair of them after dragon vigil, since she's not aurene's champion in our story (thatd be my friend druid's oc, locket!!). she leaves the main story for a bit to do so, but jory eventually shakes her and rebel goes back to the whispers hideout to see eve, my sylvari
