Rescue - Revenge on Ash -- Cover, Chapter 4: "Caught" [Fanart version]

Some of you may know or are even interested in, I started working again on my Pokeshipping/Pokémon fancomic/doujinshi "Rescue - Revenge on Ash" after it slept for 6 years now. I had some vacation last week and wanted to take the time to work in the newest cover to it. Hear you can see the result.

Someone not knowing the story at all won't be able to get the idea behind it. That's fine. I'm just kind of happy how it turned out. It is not easy to do such things with traditional art. It would have maybe gotten better as a digital artwork, but that's not what I'm good in. At least, I'm trying my best the comic itself is getting a digital look. We have about 12 more pages to come in chapter 3, before this one will start, actually. So ...

To avoid even more spoilers than the artwork already gives itself, I'll stop bubbling and wish the readers of Rescue lots of "fun" and a lot of nerves.

I still love you like the first day we met

To be honest, this should only bring me back out of my hiatus or whatever I am caved right now, so the motive might be nuts, and I didn't care for the anatomy - I wasn't even aware I really would finish it, lol.

Maybe you can enjoy it a little bit. I first wanted both switched, but then I thought, Ash was the small one, and Misty rescued him several times with her bare hands, so why the heck shouldn't she just catch him, when he jumps into her arms?

I was also inspired by Ghibli's "Laputa - Castle in the Sky" (my most fav movie) and the last inspiration to finish it was the German band "Münchner Freiheit". And I'm listening to the Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel OST nonstop, so ... well ... I have a bright taste of music. :D

These were the best news I heard for over 19+ years now! ;__; Our girl is coming home, our beloved duo (and trio) once again will go together on a new (last) journey. Although it’ll be Pikachu and Ash’s last onscreen adventure, I’m even more happy, relieved and overwhelmed, full of tears of joy, Misty and Brock are allowed to fulfill this part as the final ending. Plus, the trailer, that fanart is dedicated to, shows exactly, how Ash’s whole journey started: With her saving him and Pikachu from drowning. This message shows, that the current storywriters indeed know, how important OG is, and of course, Misty as a character.

Can’t wait for the 11 episodes. Thank you so much for this early birthday present, Pokeani-team. Thank you for healing my broken heart and for everything you did for the fandom.

I’m really, really excited. ;__;
