Two random facts about Yu family that I’ve encountered on my current playthrough.

1) William Yu is called “the man behind TranStar” by a magazine from fall 2030. Five years after the company is created and somehow “the man behind TranStar” isn’t its CEO, but rather his father. I bet Alex was not happy about it.

2) The idea of using soviet “volunteers” belongs to Cathy Yu – and Alex agreed to it because “he saw the advantages”.

Idk. It’s a subject for another time, but from these two facts alone it looks like Alex was strongly manipulated by his parents and got tired of it eventually. How old was he when he got “the CEO gig” by the way? Morgan was 20, so Alex probably was around thirty… It’s way too young to be an independent CEO of transnational corporation, isn’t it?

from when we were kids, sneaking out to look at the stars. dad was a bitch but sneaking out through the window was easy, and it was fine until we got caught. i promised i’d get him to space back then, n i mean shit, twenty years later and i did-

more lately.. he had a bad time- probably a nightmare or nerves or something- and snuck into my room. woke me up accidentally i guess. he was crying his eyes out though.. looked spooked that i was awake. much as i didnt like him being upset, felt good knowing he still needs me i guess. i mean i was shit at it i was tired as hell and fell back asleep within like two minutes but… he looked much better by morning.

oh yeah.. there was the time when i went to visit him back on earth a few years back. it was so wierd, i’d been in space so long i wasnt used to fresh air or anything, let alone a sunset or rain. I just stood out on his balcony a while, n he eventually joined me. It was nice- i’d missed him, and i’d missed earth. we just sat outside for a while and had dinner and just.. things were quiet in that nice way.
