29 - Fashion Trends: Korea

What’s trending now in Korea?

After browsing on the internet, I discovered that there are differences from American and Korean fashion trends, but there are also a few similarities.Today, I’m going to share some of the fashion trends that are rising in Korea. Keep reading to see what I found.

Berets

Berets are a trend that I have seen before and I’m not surprised that they are making a come back. By incorporating a beret, it completes the look by making any outfit more elegant and classy.

All berets are being worn, but one specific type that is being worn by famous K-pop groups are leather berets. Unlike regular fabric berets, leather berets give the effect of looking more like a boss. When worn with the perfect attitude, you envision a girl trying to rule the world. I personally think that they look really cool, but it’s something I don’t think I can pull off.

Ultraviolet

When I first read about this, I found it unusual because I don’t normally see this color out on the streets of Los Angeles. Ultraviolet has been Pantone’s official color of the year and a lot of Korean stars have been cashing in on this luxurious hue. It really is a bold statement color that is very versatile to a point where you can dress it up or down. This color can also easily compliment any simple, monotone outfit that needs a little extra flavor to.

Plaids and Patterns

I have been following this trend for a while and I’ve seen plaids and prints blow up all over social media. Patterns and prints compliment basic tees and sweatshirts very well. There is an endless amount of ways you can style them and can be worn out for various occasions. You can wear casual plaid trousers with a white shirt or a plaid tight fitted dress. Not matter how you style and wear it out, it will never fail to impress the crow.

Rainbow

This is another trend that I’ve seen around lately. In stores like Forever 21, Pacsun, and Brandy Melville, I’ve been so many rainbow colored pieces. For example, the sweater that has the iconic rainbow stripe going down the center. Rainbow accents really give a pop of color and just overall looks really cute as well.

Fanny Packs

This is a HUGE trend in Korea. I am not even exaggerating, that it has now been trending locally. I’ve seen fellow classmates wear a fanny pack over their shoulder as a fashion piece. It has been a trend that is versatile for both boys and girls of any age. They’ve been key statement pieces to any outfit. There are brands that have released fanny packs and are really popular: Supreme, Adidas, Champion, Patagonia, and way more.

28 - Birthday Wishlist

My final days of being 15 is coming to an end. On May 23, I’m going to be 16, which is surreal to even think about. For this blog post, I’m going to share a few things that I would be happy to receive, but to be honest, I’m already happy with everything I have. I don’t really need anything and I haven’t really thought about what people are going to get me. Spending my special day with people who truly make me happy if the greatest present I can ask for. The following things I’m going to list are just a few things that I have been wanting, but don’t necessarily need. Enjoy :)

New Kicks

I’ve been wanting a new pair of sneakers for quite some time now, but I’ve been indecisive on what pair to get. Part of the reason why my previous posts were about sneakers was because I have been looking into a lot lately. My eyes are leaning towards the Nike Air Max collections. There isn’t just one type of shoe that I want and the shoes I do want are sold out :/. That’s due to the fact of them being super hyped about and when released, they are automatically sold out. But, that’s alright because I’ll eventually find and buy a shoe that I like.

Here are the shoes that are on my list: Nike Air Force 1-100, Nike Air Max 97/Plus in soft pink or white, white high top Converse, and Adidas NMD.

Flowy Pants

I have been obsessed with this trend. I currently own four pairs of flowy/tapered pants and I want this number to increase. However, they are getting pricier and finding the right pair takes time. In my opinion, the material and silhouette of the pants matter. It can’t just be made with cheap and thin material because the fit will look off. I try looking for quality pants that is worth the price I’m paying.

Dainty Jewelry

I’ve been loving the look of layering necklaces and rings. For the longest time, I’ve been eyeing Pandora rings, more specifically the princess tiara one. I just think it’s so pretty and I’ve been wanting a real ring. Not just a fashion ring you can buy at Forever 21 that can eventually leave green marks on your finger. If I received any Pandora ring or any piece of jewelry, I would be the happiest girl in the world.

Record Player

Record players look so vintage and such a cool addition to your room. I’ve been wanting one for a while, but it is something i don’t necessarily need. I mean it would be cool to have and play around with, but it does cost quite a lot of money. I just really find it amusing to be able to own a record player, along as some records– from Billie Eilish, Lorde, and my other favorite artist–and to hear it play on a record disk. You get to experience how people listened to music on the daily compared to now. So much has changed and i want to be able to experience it.

I know I’m probably not going to get anything on this list, but I am 100% all right with it. I just shared a few things that could possibly give you inspiration for your wishlist. The next time I post a blog, I will be 16! It kind of crazy to be growing up so fast and that means I’m almost going to be a junior. Hopefully you have a lovely day! Bye hun <3

27 - May Sneaker Drops pt 2

Nike Air Max 1-100 with Interchangeable Swooshes

Release Date: May 12, 2018 (Japan)

These pair of sneakers may have already dropped in Japan, but it is still schedule to drop in the US very soon. If you want to check when they do, download the Nike SNKR app to keep you posted with new releases.

For those of you who misses the Nike Air Force 1 Swoosh Pack, this is an alternative option for you. They have the same concept, but the interchangeable swooshes don’t wrap around the heel of the shoe. As shown in the image, it’s only the swoosh. The color choices of the swoosh are very minimal and clean, which I really like. I’m actually really excited for these shoes to drop and I hope I do get the chance to purchase these because I wasn’t able to get them before.

Nike Air Max 97 with Rainbow Detailing

Release Date: May 17, 2018 (7:00 AM pst)

Nike never fails with their colorways for the 97s. The Nike Air Max 97s are one of my favorite silhouettes from Nike. This colorway is one I haven’t really seen and is very unique and pleasing to the eye. Nike brings a white base with hints and trims of red, orange, blue, and yellow threads on the “waves” of the shoe. The colors really make the shoe a little more exciting and different from others. They are retailed at $160 and are coming to a Nike store near you.

Nike Air Max Plus & 97 : Metallic Gold

Release Date: May 17, 2018 (7:00 AM pst)

Nike Air Max 97s

Nike will be releasing another iconic colorway in their Plus and 97 model: Metallic Gold. This colorway was released a couple months ago, but they are finally bringing it back. If you decide to cop these, make sure you set your alarm before they sell out. You will have 2 chances because if they sell out of one design, then you can try for the other. There will be more colorways released in these designs in the future, so be on the lookout for those as well.

Adidas Originals “Handcrafted Pack”

Release Date: May 21, 2018

Everyone should be familiar with the iconic Adidas Superstars and possibly even the Adidas Campus. This “Handcrafted Pack” consists of the two silhouettes and uses a simplistic spin on it. Both come in more neutral tones to give it that clean, fresh look. What makes these shoes different from their original silhouettes is that the stripes are actually threaded lines. This gives the shoe a very minimal look. There is no definite on the price, but it shouldn’t be too far to the cost of actual Superstars.

26 - May Sneaker Drops

Nike M2K Techno

Release Date: May 5, 2018

By the time you’re reading this, this shoe has already been released, but hopefully it’ll still be in stock. There have been leaked pictures on these shoes on Instagram and is finally being released for purchase. Chunky dad shoes have been trending recently and this pair of shoes are the actual definition of them. These shoes will be available in three different colorways: black, sail, and pink. They retail for only $100, which is not at all bad for a great pair of quality sneakers. 

OFF WHITE x Converse Chuck Taylor "The Ten"

Release Date: May 2018

I’ve mentioned OFF WHITE in my Sneaker Wishlist blog. In that post I talked about the OFF WHITE x Nike collaboration, but now they’ve collabed with Converse to present you with the “ghosting” chucks. It’s silhouette is based of the original Chuck Taylor shoes but have really unique takes to it. For one, the shoe is transparent, which gives it that “ghosting” effect. It also incorporates signature components of an OFF WHITE branded shoe. That includes the zip tie and text on the shoelaces, side, and on the toe cap of the shoe. The price of these are still unknown, but if you are interested in purchasing them, keep up to date on sneakernews.com for the official release date.

Nike Air Max 98: Barely Rose

Release Date: May 10, 2018

The Nike Air Max 98 line of sneakers are very iconic. Dating back to when they were first release, they are still in trend to this day. A brand new spring colorway is releasing for women. That color is called, “Barely Rose”. It’s just as the name implies. The shoe gives off light hues of blush pink, which is perfect for spring. Retail is $160 and might sell out within the first couple hours after releasing, so keep your eye open if you are interested.

MCM x Puma Suede

Release Date: May 24, 2018

MCM Worldwide is a leather luxury goods brand founded in Munich, Germany. They are more iconic and known for the infamous MCM logo backpack. You’ve probably seen someone with this backpack at least once. For European viewers, you are able to purchase the collaboration shoe on May 24 at the price of 350,00 €, which is roughly about $420. This shoes comes in two different colorways: Buckthorn Brown and Whisper White. They do range on the more pricier side, but is totally worth the investment if you have the money and admiration of shoes.

25 - Disney Princess Outfit Ideas

Have you ever wanted to be a Disney Princess?

Well, now you can! This article is for all of you who dreamt of being a Disney Princess. Today I’m going to show you some princess inspired outfits, so I hope you enjoy.

1. Cinderella 

Cinderella is characterized as kind, selfless, optimistic, and grateful. To me, she seems very graceful making what she wears more “feminine” and easy to the eyes. That would include soft silhouettes and a light color palette, light light hues of blue, white, gray, and small hints of black. 

Outfits: For the first outfit, I chose this light blue stripped button-up with a pair of white jeans. The airiness in this outfit makes it look sophisticated and expensive. The second outfit is more on the girly side. It includes a flowy white shirt and a light blue pleated skirt. This take on Cinderella is the modernized “dress” she would have and wear on a daily basis. 

Hair and Makeup: Go for a more natural makeup look: mascara, light blush, and a rosy or nude lipgloss. Those are the main products it looks like she used when her fairy godmother transformed her into a princess. As for hair, you can put it in a messy bun or just in a high ponytail. Just to add a little extra to your hair, you can wear a light blue headband or bandana.

2. Aurora 

Aurora was one of my favorite Disney Princess growing up. She is a shyer princess who is nice and sophisticated. So, I went for a more sophisticated and formal look with shades of light pink and grays. Her outfits are more for a girl on the go or in other words, a girl boss who is confident in what she wears.

Outfits: For the first look, I went for a flowy white detailed tank with a light pink blazer for sophistication. Another look is just a semi fitted off the shoulder baby pink dress. To go with it, I chose a pair of blush pink heels, but you can easily substitute it with a pair of white vans.

Hair and Makeup: For makeup, I would suggest for a smokey eye with hues of brown. Don’t go for bright or distracting colors because Aurora is more sophisticated and wouldn’t go with her style. You can also go for light bronzer and a nude matte lip color. As for hair, you can leave it natural or just in some loose curls.

3. Belle

Belle is a princess who loves to learn. She gets lost in books and always speaks her mind. For her outfit, I decided to go for a more casual and comfy look for spending the day at the library. iI decide to incorporate colors of light blue–from her outfit on the countryside–and yellow–from her iconic yellow ballroom dress. 

Outfits: You can go for wearing any flowy or baggy sweater or shirt with a pair of light to normal wash jeans. Accessorize with a belt and small dainty necklaces. As well as a pair of go to pair sneakers or sneakers of your choice. 

Hair and Makeup: Makeup is once again simple and natural: light brown eyeshadow, bronzer, highlight, and a nude or blush pink lipstick. I noticed that a lot of princesses go for natural beauty and uses a minimal amount of makeup just to enhance their features. Hair is really easy because she goes for a loose low pony or even in a half up bun.

4. Ariel

The last princess I’m going to talk about is Ariel. She is very bubbly, energetic, daring, and spontaneous. Her personality and her style I think goes hand in hand. She is very active and loves to explore and learn about new things. I’d go for athleisure and sporty look in light purples, greens, and white.

Outfit: I found this sporty outfit that incorporates a sports bra, green windbreaker, and a purple and green color block leggings. When coming across this photo, it instantly gave me Ariel vibes. The second outfit is on the girly side, but is still comfortable. That is a white ribbed shirt, a lilac purple jacket, and a pair of light wash jeans.

Hair and Makeup: For makeup, I would go for eyebrows, eyelashes, and a red lipgloss or you can even go with a bare face. She does live under the sea and doesn’t really need any makeup. Even for her hair, you can go natural or loose curls or waves. Her style is more laidback and easy to go for.

24 - How to Style Denim

Who doesn’t love denim? Everyone owns some article of clothing that is made of denim. That could be a pair of your favorite denim jeans, a denim skirt, shorts, jacket, or dress. Denim is an all round item that is perfect for any season or occasion. Today, I’m going to share some ways to spice up your outfit with the use of denim in your looks.

Graphic Tee

A basic t-shirt with any type of print and a pair of denim bottoms is such an easy outfit to just throw on and is so simple to put together when in a rush. You can either tie up, tuck in, or wear a cropped shirt with it. No matter what you decide to do, your outfit will look amazing. If you don’t have a go to graphic tee, you can easily find one at local retail stores like Forever 21 and H&M. If you want to save money, you can also go to the thrift store to see if you find a hidden gem.

Denim on Denim

For all you risky babes out there, you can try styling a denim on denim outfit. Denim on denim isn’t a look everyone favors, but if styled correctly, it can create a beautiful look. When going for this look, try finding similar shades of denim so it will look more natural. If you want to go a little more adventurous, try mixing different shades and textures of denim. Play with it and try experimenting to see what works best.

White Shirt

This is another go to look that can easily be thrown on with your favorite pair of denim shorts, jeans, or skit. You can also layer a white shirt under a pair of denim overalls or dress. White shirts are very versatile and most of the time give the look of chic and sophisticated if executed correctly. There are also many different types of white shirts to choose from: button up, crew neck, mock neck, cropped, tie up, etc. The list is endless and it all is determined by your taste and interest in what you decide to wear.

Sweater

On more colder days, tucking in a comfy sweater in a pair of denim mom or skinny jeans creates a laid back look. This is a look anyone can rock and wear out on any occasion. If you live in SoCal, then it wouldn’t be that reasonable to bust out this outfit, but I know the weather is colder somewhere in the world. Give this look a try and it might be your new everyday outfit.

23 - Spotlight on Sunglasses

Hello! I’m back on posting again and today I’m going to focus this post on sunglasses. Sunglasses can easily upgrade any outfit. Recently, there have been craze over new and upcoming eyewear drops in the fashion industry/community. I’m going to share a few of the newer releases and statement sunglasses to get your hands on.

Gucci Sunnies

In the past month, Gucci released two different eyewear collections. That includes their heart-shaped line and a summer retro sunglasses collection. Both lines have their own feel and look to them. This variation gives shoppers a wide selection to choose from.

Heart-Shaped: The heart-shaped sunglasses is a perfect statement piece for the spring.t comes in two different color choices: warm yellow and red. These sunglasses are more on the pricier side because it is a designer brand, but if you are really into them and have the money, they are a good investment.

Retro Sunglasses: If you aren’t up for sunglasses that really stand out, then these retro sunglasses are a perfect match for you. They do have bold tones, but the silhouettes are more simple than the heart-shaped glasses. They have a more ‘80s retro vibe and cost less than the heart-shaped ones.

Lazy Oaf

Lazy Oaf recently released their very first sunglasses collection. The collection includes nine different styles, but each are built according to three unique frame shapes: the Dee Dee (cateye), the Mickey (round), and the Bugged (oval). They come in different colors as well and you can chose one that you feel fits your style. They look really clean, crisp, and very minimal, which makes them really pleasing to the eye. Meteor Glasses

These sunglasses are more unconventional and are unlike any pair of glasses. They really stand out in the crowd and are truly a statement piece that is worth copping. These glasses were inspired by vintage Harley Davidson T-shirts and Nascar racing jackets. With these two style inspirations, the flame silhouette sunglasses cam to be. These sunglasses come in two different colors–blazing orange and frosty blue. For those who like to experiment with fashion trends and pieces, these sunglasses are for you. Dior Visors

Statement eyewear has been trending the past couple of months and Dior has released a selection of retro visor-eyewear to jump on that trend. This is definitely a look that is bold and out there, but will for sure catch the attention of all who come across you. They come in four different colorways, which include yellow, orange, blue, or black tint. These visors aren’t for everyone, but is certainly good for those who are very experimental with fashion.

22 - Spring Trends 2018

Welcome again loves for another weekly blog post. Happy Spring! To lighten the mood enjoy this cute little gif I found. Today I’m going to share fashion trends that have been rising lately and that I think will be a huge craze this season. Keep reading if you want to learn more about them. :)

Statement Trousers

First of all, this trend rose in the fashion community for a couple months ago, but it still hasn’t died down. Many still invest in a new pair of trousers, culottes, and/or flowy pants. But, I’m not complaining, I am obsessed with these pants. On top of that, how will this trend end, if popular retail stores–Forever 21, Pacsun, etc–are releasing new designs every week. Adding a pair of statement trousers is sure to make your outfit stand out amongst the crowd. Don’t be afraid to buy and try a pair and see how you feel about them.

Wrap Dress

Wrap dresses illuminate a bright, cute, and bubbly feel. I have seen many fashion/beauty influencers style and wear wrap dresses all over the internet. Some of my favorite Youtubers, like Siena Mirabella and Tiffany Ma, have been slaying in their wrap dresses. These dresses can be really easy go to outfits to parties and even on Easter. If you have a more girly, more feminine taste in fashion, then definitely consider in investing in one.  

Bardot Tops

Bardot tops are basically another way of saying off the shoulder tops. This is another popular trend and surprisingly I’ve seen a good number of girls at my school rock these tops. They are easy tops to just throw on with a good pair of skinny or ripped jeans and Vans. They have a wide variation of colors and styles to choose from and are actually pretty affordable. Bardot tops make a really quick outfit in the morning if you’re running late. When creating an outfit with these tops, you can look like you actually spent a lot of time in the morning, when in reality you throw it on under five minutes.

Two Piece Sets

I think I’ve mentioned this trend a while back, but for some reason, they are still popular in the fashion community. I recently went to Forever 21 and saw a bunch of cute two piece sets. If you want to purchase one, you should go there, but unfortunately a lot of the ones I saw, the pieces were sold separately. Another place you can look for them is Zaful because they have a plethora of two piece sets at a way more reasonable price.

Stripes

Lastly, stripes have been so worn recently it’s ridiculous. But, I can’t blame anyone because they compliment any outfit. Stripes just give an extra little something to any everyday look. Vertical stripes is also another thing that follows the line of this trend. Vertical stripes give the illusion of looking taller than you actually are. So, a little fashion life hack is to wear vertical striped jeans or dress if you want to appear taller.

Anyways, that were five April/Spring clothing pieces that I think have been trending recently. These pieces can be bought at your local retail store, so it will be really easy for all of you guys to hop on the bandwagon. 21 - Fashion Tag

Hello loves! I apologize for posting this blog a day late, yesterday was actually my brother’s birthday and I tried to spend as much time with him as I could. Anyways, this week I’m going to do something a little different. While browsing on the internet to find a topic to write about, I came across the fashion tag and I thought it would be fitting to do. I haven’t really dedicated a post to my style and thoughts towards fashion, so here is a little bit about it.

How would you describe your style? Well, this question is quite difficult to answer because I feel like I still haven’t truly found my fashion style. There isn’t a single word that defines how I dress. I’m at that time in my life where I am experimenting with different clothing pieces to find out what works best for me.

What are your wardrobe staples? Some of my wardrobe staple pieces are a good pair of black leggings, a basic white tee, and windbreakers. These pieces are simple, yet very versatile. You can create so many looks with just these three basic pieces. You can even wear all of these pieces in one outfit. Simple pieces like this are also really good for everyday looks whenever you are having trouble looking for an outfit.

Most expensive item in your closet? My Chanel puffy jacket. This was actually my mom’s and she got it as a gift from her friend when she went to New York. Though I didn’t pay for it, anything Chanel is really expensive and I can’t even imagine how much the jacket actually was.

Most wanted item? My most wanted item are sneakers. I would spend my money on certain clothing pieces, but I would prefer to buy more shoes. If you want to know what shoes I would want to purchase I posted two blogs about it: click here for part 1 and click here for part 2.

Favorite designer? I have a few designers in mind that I would wish I had enough money to actually purchase. That list includes Off-White, Gucci, Balenciaga, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Louis Vuitton.

How much do you spend on clothes? Now that I think about it, I haven’t been out shopping for new clothing pieces for a while now. When i do find something I like, I can’t commit to buying it. I have no idea why, but I just do. However when I do buy clothes, I tend to buy a few at a time. In estimate, I would spend $20 to $40. This price can vary depending if I need to buy an outfit for a special occasion.

What are your favorite places to shop? If you have been up to date with my post, I actually posted a blog dedicated to my favorite clothing stores that I shop at. What’s your go-to outfit? Whenever I’m running late in the morning and have no idea what to wear, I always have a certain outfit in mind. In desperate times like this, I usually just throw on a shirt, ripped boyfriend jeans, and my Adidas windbreaker. It is such an easy outfit to easily just throw on and whenever I wear this outfit, I look put together.

20 - Spring/Summer 2018 Drops

For the last two weeks, I have been putting my focus towards sneakers, so I’m going to take a break from talking about shoes. In this week’s post I’m going to give you an inside look at new Spring/Summer 2018 clothing drops from high end brands. A lot of brands have been leaking images and lookbooks for their upcoming collections and I’ve got you covered. You’ll be able to get your hands on your favorites before anyone else does.

Champion

Champion has released their lookbook for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2018 collection. This collection focuses on different shades of pink, tie dye, and a few basic staple pieces. This line is very versatile due to its universal silhouettes and can be worn by any gender. They have a good array of products to match your interests. They have new tie dye crewneck shirts with the iconic “C” patch on the left sleeve. Another product they debuted was a tear-away skirt with a matching jersey track top. However, these pieces are available on the Champion London website, so it wouldn’t be easy to get your hand on these products. Keep a look out when they will drop at your local Urban Outfitters.

Fenty PUMA

If you haven’t heard of this collaboration brand, it’s basically Rihanna’s athletic clothing collection with PUMA. The lookbook that was published showed looks that had a desert theme. The pieces in this collection really stand out with the use of bold color choices–orange, rich blue, green, hot pink, and so on. Adidas Originals XYBO

This collection is gravitated towards the use of black, military green, white, and gray hues. Each pieces focuses on the craftsmanship of each item. The whole line is supposably made to have a snug hit in order to provide comfort. Another cool thing about this collection is that each piece is marked with and “X” to represent a mark of equality. Due to the overwhelming amount of popularity, this collection is sold out and isn’t available for purchase at the moment.

Off-White x Sunglasses Hut

A popular streetwear brand, Off-White, and Sunglass Hut are coming out with collaboration sunglasses. These sunnies were first debuted at Paris Fashion Week. The collection includes three frames that pull popular silhouettes from the ‘80s. Vintage sunglasses have been trending recently and I can see why they would come out with these three frames. I personally think, I wouldn’t be able to pull of these glasses, but everyone has a different preference. These sunglasses are actually going to be released on March 20, which is in a few days. 19 - Sneaker Wishlist pt 2

Bonjour! Welcome to this week’s post, last week I shared part 1 of my sneaker wishlist, if you haven’t read it click here. Anyway, I decided to continue my list of shoes that I have been wanting lately or maybe even for a good amount of time, but didn’t/don’t have the money to buy. If you didn’t know, I actually craze over shoes and keep up to date with new drops, but it’s something that I kind of keep to myself. That’s surprising because you, who is reading, will know a little something that some of my friends don’t know. Enough talking and I’ll just let you read my wishlist.

Nike Air Force 1 : Swoosh Pack

On February 15, 2018, Nike launched their Nike Air Force 1 Swoosh Pack. If you aren’t aware of these shoes, the picture above is what they look like. Recently, Nike released this new innovative sneaker where the Nike swoosh logo is interchangeable. Meaning that you can change the color of the swoosh and even create your own desired look. How can you change them? Well, the swoosh is connected with velcro, making it easy to switching them out.They retail for $110 and include the shoes and a few color variations of the swoosh logo. You can customise your pair of shoes to coordinate or complement your outfit. One pair equals an endless amount of creations. I really wish I got my hands on these because I feel like they would be the only shoes you need for any occasion. They are very versatile and an easy go to shoe.

Converse CDG

Comme des Garçons or CDG is a Japanese fashion label that is well known for their icon heart logo. The Converse x CDG collaboration shoes have been around for a while, but I never got around to purchasing them. In my opinion, they are an easy staple shoe that can add a little pop of color to a monochromatic outfit.

On a side note, according to hypebae.com they are actually releasing a new collab shoe in the near future, so be on the lookout for that if you are interested. Once they are released try to get your hands on them as soon as you can because you might miss the chance to own them. Due to high demands, they can go out of stock and you would have to buy them 4 times the price of retail.

Adidas Ultra Boosts

Ultra Boosts is one of Adidas’ famous running shoes. This pair of shoes are very comfortable and is an easy shoe to put on when in a rush. It can also easily compliment any lazy day outfit. When I tried a pair at Foot Locker, it was as if I was walking on marshmallows or just a really soft memory foam bed. Either way you look at it, if you spend a good majority of your day walking, invest in these shoes.

Yeezys

You’re probably thinking,”Really, Yeezys?” Yes, for some reason, I’m just really attracted to how they look. I wish I could blab about how amazing they are, but I never got my hands on a pair. Whenever a new colorway is released, you have to go to your nearest Adidas store or click as fast as you can to get a pair. Once these shoes are sold out, they are resold for 4 or maybe 5 times the amount of retail, which is originally like $220. I really like the all white colorway or the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in oreo/white.

Nike Air Max 98

The last pair of kicks are the nike Air Max 98s. When I went to confirmation class a few weeks ago, I saw my friend wearing a pair of them in the all white colorway and thought they were so beautiful. I have been eyeing these shoes for a while, but when I saw them in person, it made me want to actually purchase them. They actually released a few new colorways and one of them that I really like is the velvet rose and grey colorway. I haven’t seen anyone wear them and a wish to get my hands on this fair in the near future. Another colorway I like is the white and grey pair. They look very simple and minimal which I really dig.

That was the rest of my sneaker wishlist. I hope this post actually gives you some inspiration in case you were looking into a new pair of shoes. I know a lot of the sneakers I mentioned are on the pricier side, but trust me, if you do buy any pair from this list or my previous one, it will be worth the investment. I’ll see you next week. 18 - Sneaker Wishlist

Everyone desires certain items here and there. It’s totally alright to want something because it’s part of our human nature to want something, but don’t necessarily need. I have a pretty excessive list of sneakers that I have been want for a while, but because I’m a sophomore in high school, I can’t really afford any of these shoes. But, this makes me want to work hard in school so that I’ll one day be able to buy things I want. Right now, I’m not asking for any of these shoes. I am completely happy and thankful for what I own and have already. These are just some sneakers that I have been really digging and interested in.

Balenciaga Trainers

This pair of shoes is by far the most expensive on this list. Balenciaga is a famous fashion company that was founded by a Spanish designer, Cristobal Balenciaga. These shoes have been rising in popularity and have been seen quite a few times on certain social media platforms. In my opinion, I think that it would be an easy staple to complete any outfit.

Off-White x Nike Collab

This collaboration is one of my favorites. Off-White is a fashion label that captures street style/ street wear look. Something about the design and look of the shoes is unique and different. Nike released quite a few different types of shoes with this collaboration a while back, but I didn’t get the chance to get my hands on a pair. Now, you have to pay triple or maybe six times the amount of retail.  

Fila Disruptors

The Fila Disruptors are kind of an unusual style of shoe. This shoe won’t intrigue that many people because of the way they look, but I think they look really cool. They are considered as a trending “dad shoe”. In my opinion, they really stand out in a crowd. What I like about these is that they are pretty inexpensive compared to other shoes. They range around the same as Vans, which is a really good price.

Adidas NMD

I have been wanting a pair of Adidas NMD for the longest time, but whenever I have saved enough money to buy a pair, they are either sold out or they’re out of my size. It was sort of frustrating because at the time a lot of people were obsessing over them and I was too. But, I never really ended up buying a pair, but I hope to in the future.

Nike Air Max 97

The Nike Air Max 97 was designed by Christian Tresser. This creation was inspired by Japan’s high-speed Bullet Trains.Ever since these shoes were released, they have been hyped over. At first, I didn’t understand why people were interesting in these shoes, but when I actually shoe them in person, I realized they actually were really nice. Not to mention, they are also reflective. The overall design of the shoe is really clean and crisp. However, I like the Undefeated white and the all white colorways. Other colorways in this style kind of look weird, but that’s just my opinion.

That is the end of my list. I decided to only write a few because there are so many brands, collaboration, and styles I strive to purchase in the future, but I didn’t to overwhelm you with them. Maybe next week I can write a part two of the sneakers I want. If you do, just leave a note or even a like and I’ll do it. 17 - How to Thrift Like a Pro

Thrifting when one shops at a second hand store in order to purchase vintage, one of kind gems to add to your wardrobe. When you think about thrifting, sometimes you’ll be skeptical because it seems unusual and in some cases “gross” to purchase someone’s old clothing pieces, but if you think about it, if you were to buy something from a common retail store, there is a higher chance you’ll end up twinning with someone. I mean, that isn’t really a big deal, but sometimes you want to be unique. When you come across a piece you like at the thrift store, the odds of wearing the same clothing piece is pretty low.

Think of it this way, thrifting is like looking for hidden treasure because when you enter, you’ll never know what you can find and if you do find something it will be one of a kind, just like you. Here’s a common quote to think of,”One person’s trash, is another person’s treasure.” But, if thrifting isn’t up your alley, it’s a all good. Just continue doing you. :)

Here are some tips I have when you are thrifting:

1. Look Everywhere

The first tip is to look everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Don’t be limited to just looking in one area. Go through the men’s, women’s, and even the children’s clothing because there might be a hidden gem lost in the crowd. People might have misplaced or even left things they didn’t want, but it might be something that grabs your attention. So, always be aware of that the next time you go thrifting.

2. Dress comfortably

This one is key if you plan on thrifting for the whole day, or even just a quick stop. You are going to be looking through racks and racks of clothes and if you aren’t dressed comfortably, then you’ll want to end up leaving without looking through everything. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes, certain thrift stores don’t have fitting rooms, so you might want to wear more tight fitting clothing so you can try pieces over your clothes.

3. Dedicate the day to thrifting

If you only have a set amount of time to thrift–30 minutes just to past time–you might miss out on something. When you have a time limit for thrifting, you won’t be able to hit every place. Imagine if you look through a few racks, but then leave and realize if you kept looking you might find a vintage Nike windbreaker or maybe if you had extra time you could have found a vintage Tommy Hilfiger shirt. You might have missed the opportunity to purchase a piece you may have been wanting.

4. Shop near holidays

There are chances that if you go thrift shopping around Memorial Day weekend, Easter, or any other holiday, there might be deals and sales on top of thrift store prices. Thrift stores are already affordable and when you shop during these times, you’ll purchase pieces at an even lower price.

5. Shop with an open mind

Don’t go in with the intention of looking for a certain piece. That piece can easily consume your mind to block out anything else. You might focus on that specific thing, without realizing you came across so many pieces that are worth a fortune. Don’t let that little thing ruining your chances in finding something valuable.

6. Go frequently

Thrift stores are constanting restocking with new clothing pieces everyday. Someone might have donated a real gem the day you go thrift shopping and when you come back in a few days you’ll purchase that item. When you go frequently you won’t look through the same thing over and over again because there will always be something new in store.

16 - Update + February Trends

New Year, new blog post. Happy 2018 lovelies! Sorry for going MIA on my blog, but I’m finally back and I decided because it’s a new year, I want to incorporate another aspect to my blog. My blog leans towards the girly and feminine side of fashion. From here on, I am also going to be posting about the fashion world of men. That may include hypebeast brands and styles that are arising. Not only that, but I want to hit every aspect of fashion including sneakers and their releases. I want my blog to be the center of all your needs in the fashion and clothing world. I really look forward to branching out my blog to an even bigger retrospect. I want everyone to be welcome and not just have a one sided audience.

Also, thank you to every single one of you guys who actually keep up with my blog posts. It truly means a bunch to me that there are people out there who enjoy reading my content. If I could I would literally give you the biggest hug ever, but because I can’t really do that, I’ll send you a virtual one instead. :)

I didn’t want this post just to be dedicated on an update on my blog so, to start off I’m going to quickly share a few of fashion trends that I have been digging this month.

Transparent Clothing

Recently I have seen quite a lot of people styling sheer shirts, whether it’s just a solid color or has some sort of pattern on it. It has really been quite a piece to look into having. You can wear these shirts on top of a really cute bralette, sports bra, or just a plain undershirt. But, you can also layer an oversized shirt over on top if you want to go for a more vintage and a different take on styling it. Either way, you can easily get complimented for whatever look you were going for.

Primary Colors

This trend is one of my favorites. Lately, I have really been drawn to the use of incorporating bright colors into my looks. It started when I started wearing the color yellow and from there I began wearing brighter shades of red and blue. One of my favorite YouTubers, Conan Gray, is the ultimate persona of styling primary colors. He has a really good sense of fashion that is very vintage and retro. I have been really inspired by his looks on a daily basis and try to create that vintage-mom look he goes for.

Track/Sport Pants

If you haven’t seen or even own a pair of the iconic adidas trainers/track pants, where have you been all this time? The past couple of months track pants have been gaining in popularity and have been worn out. Some other brands that have been releasing good pairs are Fila, Nike, Puma, and Kappa. I feel like this is will be a trend that should be around for a while, so you can still invest in a pair and you’ll still be in trend with everyone else. But, who am I kidding, you don’t have to own a pair to be “cool” or in “trend” because you can decide what you enjoy and feel comfortable wearing.

Just a reminder, you don’t have to go out and buy expensive new pieces of clothing just to “fit” in with everyone else. Everyone has their own style and you just need to find out what works for you. If anything, you can go to your local thrift shop and find a true gem to add to your closet. I will be posting every Saturday, so stay tuned for another post next week. 15 - Christmas Wishlist

Hooray! I am officially on winter break and you have no idea how overjoyed I am to have two weeks off. I have been waiting the longest time to just sleep in and not have to worry about any projects, homework, or tests. Though the past week was semi-stressful for me, I’m just glad it’s over. The only thing that boggles my mind is why I only have two weeks of break when my friends from other schools have three weeks off. But, it doesn't matter because Christmas is almost here! I know it might be last minute to write my Christmas Wishlist, but I feel in the spirit to share fashion and clothing pieces I would want this year. Don’t worry, I know i’m probably not going to receive any of these, but it’t just a list of things that I want, not necessarily need. We all have a desire to want things and there is nothing wrong with that. Here is just a list of some clothing pieces I want.

Cabby Hat

I have been seeing this hat being styled and worn all over social media. I first laid my eyes on this hat from Adelaine Morin. She is currently obsessed with cabby hats, or as I like to call them, train conductor hats. I recently received a black velvet cabby hat from my good friend and I really like the look of them. I want to get them in a few more different colors and styles, so I can switch out and pick out the hat that matches each outfit I wear out.

YouTuber Merch

There is a plethora of YouTubers that are constantly coming out with new merchandise, but sometimes they are so expensive. The first Youtuber I want merch from is Alex Wassabi. I literally have been watching him and keeping up with his vlogs for over five years. He is one of my favorite YouTuber and never disappoints me. There isn’t a time where I watch his videos without him putting a smile on my face. I really want his black joggers, which is actually sold out :/, and the cotton candy Alex Wassabi Hoodie. It looks so comfy and I just want more hoodies because I don’t have very many. Another is Jess and Gabriel. They are a married couple who vlogs and they are just so adorable. They have merch called Conteam Clothing, but their merch is kinda on the pricey side compared to Wassabi merch.

Adidas Track Pants

I’ve been wanting a pair of Adidas track pants or even just their leggings. I know this is a basic essential piece that a lot of people have, they look so comfy. When in a rush, throwing on these with a hoodie or even just a t-shirt makes a decent outfit. I see so many people around school and just when I’m casually out running errands wearing Adidas track pants. These bottoms are kinda expensive, but i eel like they would be a good investment.

Brandy Melville Clothes

I have no idea why I have been really digging Brandy Melville clothing pieces, but I have. They have many basic shirts and bottoms, but their clothes are made with high quality materials and are also easy to throw on. I have only purchased a shirt and jewelry because their clothes tend to be pricey just for the basic essentials. I really want a pair of their fitted pants or a windbreaker. I have been eyeing their yellow honey embroidered windbreaker, but I’m pretty sure it’s sold one because the last time I checked on the website, it was no longer there.

Champion Hoodie

This hoodie is considered ”basic”, but like it is such a comfortable hoodie to throw on. These hoodies, however are over $60 at Urban Outfitters, which I am not willing to pay because i don’t have the money. Champion hoodies have been a rising trend even though they have been around for quite some time. But, it doesn't matter if it’s a Champion, Adidas, or Nike hoodie, I just want any type of hoodie because i don’t have many in my wardrobe.

After listing all these things, i am not expecting any of these gifts. If I do however receive anything from this list, I’m beyond thankful. Remember Christmas isn’t about the gifts. It’s about sending quality time with your friends and family. I also prefer giving gifts than receiving them because it truly  beings a smile on my face to see that my friends and family have a smile on their face and that alone is all I need. 14 - Warm Winter Outfits

Hello honeys! I’ve been struggling finding ideas for topics to write about. I just have been so uninspired and have been caught up with school work. My stress levels are off the charts and I still have one more week before winter break. The next week is gonna feel like forever, but once I reach the last day before break, I think all the work I put into the last weeks of school before 2018 will pay off, hopefully. Anyways, this week because the winter season and winter break is slowing approaching, and all we want to feel as comfortable as we can be, I’m going to share a few comfy and easy outfit ideas you can wear when in a rush or just want to feel like you’re cuddled by a blanket. I’ve been just waiting to wear hoodies all day, everyday, but there are other ways you can be cozy and still look cute.

Oversized Hoodie

Okay, I know I said I was going to give other outfit ideas besides hoodies, but i couldn’t resist. Hoodies are just so comfortable and soft, I love them so much. You can literally wear a plain hoodie, one with a cool graphic print, or if you have the money, then maybe a Champion, Adidas, or Nike one. There is an endless amount of hoodies to chose from and are really easy to get your hands on. So, if you are rushing on a chilly and early morning, throw on a hoodie with a pair of your favorite leggings or jeans.

Knit Sweaters

This is a really easy piece to throw on and still look cute and stylish. Everyone should have their favorite go to knit sweater when in a rush. I just think it provides enough comfort to keep you warm, but also makes it look like you spent so much time picking your outfit. Just keep in mind if you are buying knit sweaters, look at the amount of holes in your sweater. Some sweaters are thicker than others and sometimes it’s not enough to wear a sweater on a really cold day. A tip is to layer and I have a whole blog post dedicated to layering for the winter. Windbreakers & Mom Jeans

Yes, I am obsessed with the whole 90s vibes look. Windbreakers and mom jeans is one of my favorite outfit combinations. It’s just so different and unique. While everyone is out buying the new and latest trends out there, you are throwing it back. You will be rocking a look not many people would typically be wearing, which is a good thing. Not only that, but windbreakers are really helpful on days with strong winds because they block out the wind, so you will be warm all day.

Sherpa Jacket

Let me tell you about sherpa jackets. If you haven’t gotten the experience to just feel the softness of a sherpa jacket, you are missing out. I personally don’t own one, but if you do come across one in stores, buy it. I was casually browsing at Victoria Secret Pink and I came across a white sherpa jacket that i wanted so badly, but when I looked at the price tag, I immediately left. It was way out of my price range, but I’m sure there are sherpa jackets out there that are way cheaper. By the way, these jackets are faux and you shouldn’t worry about any animals that may have been harmed in the process. If you want to make sure, look at what the clothing piece is made of.

Those were just a few outfits you could wear during the last week(s) of school before you go to break. To those who are in high school, hopefully this video helped because I know there are people who are going to be taking finals and making sure you are comfortable while taking a test is key. 13 - 5 Winter Layering Ideas

Winter is slowly coming and even though the weather in California is still warm and sunny, there are some days where the weather actually feels cooler and more like winter. In other parts of the world, it is possibly snowing, raining, or even below freezing. So, to those people living in colder areas, this blog post is for you. Today, I’m going to share 5 layering tips and tricks for the winter season. You will be able to feel warm and cozy, but also look fashionable too.

Drape Your Jacket

On days that aren’t that cold, this trick can easily make your outfit fancier than it actually is. This is one of the simple ways to layer. Wear any simple or everyday outfit that consists of a graphic t-shirt and your favorite pair of jeans. Once you have put your outfit together, drape your cutest or favorite jacket over your shoulders to keep you looking fashionable, but warm at the same time.

Long Sleeves Under Short Sleeves

This tip is another easy one to achieve. You can easily layer any type of long sleeve shirt underneath your favorite short sleeved dress or even an oversized t-shirt. Either way, it creates a cute effect to your outfit and keeps you warm as well.

Turtlenecks

This next tip is one of my favorites. Turtlenecks are slowing making a comeback and is starting to become the next trend of the season. Like wearing long sleeves under short sleeves, you can do the same thing with turtlenecks. You can also wear a turtleneck and drape over a really stylish jacket or blazer. Turtlenecks can be worn and styled in more ways than one and is a very versatile piece. This is one piece to invest on for the winter season.

Pile On One Color

Layering different shades of the same color doesn’t adhere to everybody, but is defiantly something to try out. If you aren’t one to normal wear the same color in an outfit, then this wouldn’t work out as much, but if you are willing to be brave and go bold, then don;t be afraid to. You might even enjoy the look of it.

Socks With Heels

The last layering idea is to layer a cute pair of socks with heels. On colder days, wearing heels can be a struggle, but by pairing a pair of warm knee high, over the knee, ankle, fishnet, or any type of socks can elevate your shoe look. You wouldn’t typically see or wear socks with heels, but they have been a rising trend to do so. By wearing a good pair of socks, it will make your feet warm and cozy, but also allow you to wear your favorite pair of heels.
