In this restaurant ,Cua1cang on Nguyen thai hoc they serve crab in many different ways. My favourite is the fried crab in tamarindsauce. The steamed prawns and the fish cooked in Hong Kong style was also to die for. All the seafood is alive before it hits the pan.

The best fruitshakes in the world. Jampacked with fresh fruit. At Five boys in a narrow lane on bui vien street. They sell thousands in a day.

The best free flow champagne dinner ever. Live crabs,local lobsters and tigerprawns . Free flow of veuve qlicqot or moet chandon between 530-10pm. Absolutely faboulous .

Best breakfast there is. PHO ❤️ With beef ,PHO BO or chicken PHO GA. This one at PHO Quynh. 323 Pham Ngu Lao district one. I dont understand how they get the stock so tasty😅

The first restaurant we visit when we arrive in Hcmc is allways Hai Lua at BenThanh night market. The restaurant is allways full and you cant imagine the amount of fresh seafood they dish up every night. My two favourite dishes are their grilled red snapper with chilli and salt and clams fried with garlic. Delishious.

Things to do in langkawi except eating seafood. We stayed at chenang beach which is at least 1500 m of lovely white powdery sand. The East side of the beach is almost destroyd by jetskis and bananaboats. On the westside there are two highclass resorts and I guess that they managed to keep that side of the beach clear from speeding morons. The water is clear and there are no current. We hired a motorbike one day for 8usd and drove around the entire island.

Another nice whitesand beach is Tanjung Rhu beach on the north side of the Island. Much less crowded than Chenang.

Oversea on jalan Imbi in Kuala Lumpur has been around for years. It's a classic kl chineese restaurant. We have been going there for the last ten years and the food has allways been excellent. We have been trying out their suckling pig,prawns,fish... Their signature dish is Char Siu which is Hong Kong barbecued pork. Everytime we go our friends order new dishes. Squidpaste with egg in the middle Catfish braised with thick soya . Crabmeat with some kind of glittering roe. Maybe crab eggs? Beancurd. Yummy! Dont forget that you need to book .

Gordon Ramsey allways keeps repeating that restaurants should keep their menus short and simple. Here in asia its quite common for restaurants to serve only one perfect dish. This morning We had lunch at this popular restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. They are only open from boom til 2.30pm. Closed on tuesdays. They only serve fishheadcurry. The best fisheadcurry. Packed with pieces of meaty fishead,tigerprawns ,eggplant,ladyfinger, and tofu. All in a rich and spicy gravy You need to be there by 12 otherwise you’ll have to wait for a table or even worse ; They are out of the food.

Malaysians take their food seriousli. Penang is their number one fooddestination. People travel from all over Malaysia ,Singapore and China to eat in penang. We were very lucky to get a list of foodstalls and restaurants to visit from our dear friend and foodie Kessy. This foodstall on jalan Transfer is the place to go for Roti canai . Even me who isn't an expert could taste that it is very good. They have 3 kinds ; chicken,mutton and beef. Yummy. You just dipp your Roti in the curry and there's your perfect breakfast.

Our favourite 2 restaurants on chenang beach in langkawi are both chineese . They are located close to each other on the western part of the main beach road. The best is Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant. They must have at least 250 seats and the place is jampacked with people from 6pm until closing at 11pm all days of the week. They serve live lobsters, crabs, giantprawns,oysters,squid and different kind of fish. You can choose how you want it cooked. Our best was the steamed rainbowlobster with ginger and garlic and the giant butterprawns. Seafood doesnt come fresher than this.

My second choice is Happy Happy cendang beach seafood restaurant. They didn’t have as many live seafood but they made an amazing tigergrouper cooked in homemade wine. And the used the same slightly fermented wine to steam some spectaular crabs. Their braised tofu was to die for. We became friends with Wendy who worked at the restaurant and she gave us some recipes. I wanted to publish them here but my husband says that they are his recipes now and not to be made public.😳

Nowadays there are pizzahut, McDonalds,subway,KFC etc in chenang. Skip them. IF you must you can eat that crap back home

Breakfast. I love the asian breakfasts. In Thailand and Vietnam we eat noodlesoup in the morning. In Malaysia and India it"s roti canai or dosa masala. Roti canai is an indian type of flatbread dipped in a curry sauce. Dosa is a thin crispy pancake made of rice and chickpeaflower ,filled with spiced potatoes and served with a masalasauce. This is a favourite dish of ours from southern india. And the local coffee is strong and good mainly in Vietnam and Malaysia. So you can understod that We don't miss the oatmealporridge from home.

We love the malay/chineese food. Kuala lumpur was recently ranked as the number one food city in the world by the swedish newspaper DN. I can easily understand why. Even here in langkawi we are in food heaven. We had a light , late lunch close to the beach at Happy,Happy cenang chineese restaurant. Braised tofu,Slimy noodles,wah tan hor(Love them)and pea shoots with garlic. We drank sourplumjuice with lime, refreshing(and a couple of beers) The chineese food here is uncompearable to its cousin in sweden 😂

Did you know that langkawi is a taxfree zone. Here you can buy a bottle of stolinachaya vodka for less than 6 usd or a bottle of grey goose for around 20 usd. Happy holidays.

My three favourite restaurants for simple Indonesian food i Ubud are; -warung Bernadette -warung Biah Biah -Tutmak They are all close to each other in the center of Ubud. The signature dish of Warung Bernadette must be their rendang which they do with beef,chicken or vegetarian. They also do fab nasi goreng and sate'. At warung Biah Biah you can order many Indonesian/Balineese dishes in the form of tapas. They cost less than 1usd each so you can try many. Tutmak cooks beautiful tuna steaks. Dont forget to tell them how you want them cooked-rare😋 Theese are just a few of the cozy laidback dinner plazes in the cool and trendy Ubud-Bali. A place that is a must if you visit Bali
