I don't read a ton anymore :( best bet is always using ao3 and filtering out what you don't like! don't be afraid to find fics from years ago either, there was a period in 2020/2021 that I personally found very vibrant with well written fics that interested me, and I still read stuff from before then

I’m on the same train as the other anon.. even with the small portions of singji in the work, I’m so interested in the alpha/alpha relationship going on there 🥺 Even if it’s not what that what the quote meant to imply it made me think of times Siyeon needs Minji in that way, not as an omega in a state of desperation but rather as a lover, needy to feel her inside because she craves the intimacy of it. so i wanna correct myself !. bc those themes are def there, (in a bunch of places, but specifically) like when yubin wonders what it’s like for betas to not get affected by all the scents, This Line “How could she ever want to avoid this?” andd this one is interesting too “Minji, the first person to make those days not terrible.”. and how curt she gets with the “if you guys had just paid attention, this wouldn’t have happened” is interesting too bc it could come from a handful of places, but one of them could be the kind of “you guys don’t /fucking/ understand how hard it is” or something adjacent.

yup yup yup there's lots of little yubin moments... she's complex and has a lot of mixed feelings about it all. And yeah, the "if you guys had just paid attention" bit was originally meant to come off as a sting towards the betas - that they'll never truly get it, but it was a bit too mean for that character, especially with Yoohyeon, so I let it widen out and be more of a broad irritation there :)
“I like having an impatient, needy, takes what she wants Minji, and a more chill, patient, rational Siyeon” this is actually really interesting, and yes I agree, exploring that though your skilled eyes is very 👍👍👍👍👍 i like!

Bora’s Minji” is truly such a good line and wait that’s so interesting the “The conflict of an omega who very much doesn't care for being an omega was where it all started” this. because that has impact on dynamics and like even how that person views themselves and could have had to work through that/accept themselves. and i think u showed it a bit in how Minji is softer to yubin, bc she maybe isn’t as “claim me” as bora is, which im assuming would be stereotypical omega behaviour. mm so much to think about down that avenue too, and hey listen, always space in another fic to explore that farther ! (/lh) bc even if u didn’t go super deep w it in this one, you’ve set the universe up really nice for a sequel or drabble or something that explores that further should u want to

you're definitely planting seeds for more yoohyeon thoughts... more will come up in chapter 2, so we'll see! I'm leaning that she's more mature than not, and she knows she's chosen to live this life, but there's still a lot within that to play with
and yeah!! we'll explore a lot more of yubin's headspace and how she sees herself in the next chapter 👀 more to come!!
Handong is also getting some continuations probably, if not in fics at least in a few drabbles. They're just very smutty and I gotta find a way to temper them first lskdfj

okok so first off: entire concept YESSSS obsessed. all the scents incredible, the way that they understand each other and move within that is just so good I gotta bullet-point this
singji alphas is PERFECT it's classic (I think?), it's good, it makes so much sense, and I love their personalities showing within that. like how the instinctual part of them wants to challenge each other, but they logically know that there's nothing to be worried about - that internal struggle is interesting and real (well , I mean in the omega verse lmaoo) and I love how u shone light onto it. and then yubin mentioning how minji is different with either of them I love!! depth!! and makes sense, she can be both, both sides exist, and yubin and bora require different things! and siyeon! we didn't see so so much of her, but her presence as described by bora is like yessss she's wolfish! and I really like how she knows what to say to minji to ease the possessiveness. id be interested to see more into their specific dynamic like because that's so fascinating there's so much there
that leads me to gahyeon oh dude top 3 characterizations of gahyeon I need to see more of her like this for real like . the way she Knows what siyeon is thinking/feeling and she redirects that so Powerfully like save me bossy gahyeon.. save me. the "eyes on me" part I gasped im a massive fan. im in love i need more of her. (also yess idk if she's the one who likes marks or if siyeon likes marking or both but thats sexy of her idk!!)
another beta! yooh! you're smart about her. I love the leaning-omega part, massive brain move right there. like the part that craves minji's attention, and is kinda hurt, even if she logically understands, when minji ignores her for bora. it provides an opportunity for conflict which normally I cringe at because most times I just want them all to be happy lol, but in this case im interested. yes she craves the attention, I wonder how she copes, how minji helps, how everyone else joins in to maybe aid her with that, if they're even able to. like ooh the possibilities there are so interesting.
HANDONG OHH MY GOD MMMCOW. sexy mf her characterization is SO good. like at first I was like ooh beta handong that's an interesting choice. and my friend you proved it to be the best one a million times over. where Yoohyeon leans omega, she leans alpha (if I can say that,, it's either alpha-leaning or just her personality, either of which make sense and I support). I love that fun banter and tension and how she's cocky like yes cocky handong pls pls pls. I love how she "handles" minji in a way? like at the end there. because siyeon is busy, and otherwise minji would be stewing or might do something she would regret, but handong stepping in and challenging her (with "leave it." too like ohhh yeah) to both mediate the conflict (first and foremost) but then also because of the fact (which im obsessed with) that she like riled-up alphas. Oh like that's Perfect.
And yura!! Massive fan of the choice to make yubin an omega, idk how common that is but YES yess that is fantastic, it tickles my brain. your bora characterization is just wonderful, and yet again you've written her so well. needy and whiny and she wants everyone to be there, yeppp! the yura bond too that's SO good. of course they're sensitive to it all and hanging onto the other person who deeply and fully understands your situation/you when you're feeling so vulnerable is so right.
and mm the 2yoo at the end :eyes: that specifically is interesting bc yes they all mess around and have their own dynamics and im convincing myself out of my point here but. like the alpha/omega is arguably (v arguably) the Strongest connection in the a/b/o stuff, so maybe this is reading wayy too into it but id be interested in like why she chose yooh in that moment. is it bc yooh is sensitive too and soft in a way yubin wants or wanted in that moment? is it because yooh was just right time right place? maybe some combo? but that thought process is an interesting thought.
aside from the characters, im such a big fan of how you write a/b/o in general, like most people use it as an excuse to write feral sex, which honestly like amen that's real. However, you delved into deeper stuff, like potential conflicts within dynamics (and how the betas kinda step into mediate that - gahyeon w siyeon and handong w minji), and how the betas kinda think about the depth in the alpha/omega connection and how they might yearn(ish) for that. like I didn't think of that, but you're so right?? like absolutely. and then also the omega bond because they're like 'you're the only one that really gets it' so true!! right again like you've opened my mind, I see the vision so clearly.
I've done it again and accidentally yapped my way into a massive essay im so sorry for filling your page with my thoughts.. but in my defence, your fic is incredible!

It's definitely fun to get to play with new characters… especially with singji who are pretty much opposites of their sjby-verse counterparts. I like having an impatient, needy, takes what she wants Minji, and a more chill, patient, rational Siyeon. I think we'll get more of how their instincts change based on the person in chapter 2 i think? But yeah.. I'm also stubbornly interested in a good alpha/alpha dynamic. Not sure how I'd write it yet, but we'll see!

yooh <3 don't wanna spoil too much if I go into it in the next chapter, but I think in general she didn't think she was going to end up with this kind of a den at all, and there's a learning curve that comes with it. She's not Gahyeon or Handong in that regard. And yeah potential for more yooh x others in the future?? perhaps?? The conflict could be very fun… you're making me consider what coping looks like for her… INTERESTING.
Handong kind of irritates me (joking) because i was like "noo i'm NOT gonna write the abo filth story that is haunting me" and then handong showed up and i was like "FINE. I'll fucking do it." She has so much power over me it's stupid. She's veryyyy much an alpha handler and I support women <3 she's very cocky and not afraid to play alphas against each other lol. she's probably gonna get some drabbles or follow ups at some point because she's in my brain playing games in there. I think it's fun thinking about it as her being alpha-leaning, and Yoohyeon as omega-leaning. I think it is more personality, but those develop based off of the norms of the world so… Food for thought there!
The whole fic started with jiubin actually, with the line "Possessive Minji. Bora’s Minji." The conflict of an omega who very much doesn't care for being an omega was where it all started.. my biggest issue with the fic is that I think that aspect gets lost in the 5k of other stuff. but yura is just.. it's a dynamic I think I could play in for a very long time. I'm happy to get to try out some of those ideas finally. Sometimes the person who gets you the most isn't an obvious candidate, and there's a lot of love to be ofund there.
as for 2yoo.. answers will come <3 I'm playing around with how this group came together still, but spoiler: I think 2yoo was together/hinting at being together when the group started to snowball together
I'm glad the abo stuff is working for you! It's not something I have strong feelings about one way or another honestly. For some folks it's definitely an avenue for feral sex without shame, or exploring certain kinks and what not, but I just really feel pulled towards the ways it opens doors for internal conflict, and it gives us rules to break. Non-traditional dynamics are soooo much fun to play with even if it's a genre I feel indifferent about otherwise. I think betas are an under-explored third of that world, so we'll see what we can do with that 👀 but yeah, at the end of the day I'm secretly just a yura dynamic enthusiast so it comes back to that asldkf there was no way this one worked without those two having that connection.
