Black Desert Korea New Upcoming Content

A summary of the new content updates Korean Black Desert Online is having this year from their conference call. This includes new lands, awakenings, class, and naval combat.

New Lands

This summer in Korea, new area will be added SW of the current landmass, it will be elf land. It will be region of Silvia Camara, which has a lot of greenery and harmony with nature. Near it is also the Dark elf land, which is much darker.

Later this year the area just east of Silvia Camara will be opened up, this is home of the Dwarfs occupied by the Gaint race. You will see some interactions between the Elves, Dwarfs and Giants there. Snowy area

Naval

Huge ocean area added NW of the current landmass.

Naval combat will be added with Naval warships crafted by guild house.

Trade merchant ships will be added.

New Sailing life skill increased by sailing around and doing naval combat.

New underwater content will also be added with underwater exploration and treasures

Fishing hot spots will be marked by flying seagulls.

New Awakening/Classes

Ninja’s awakened weapons will be 5 swords that he can wield at the same time.

Kunoichi awakening will use Chakram in an aerobatic movement style.

Wizard awakening will use elemental orbs of fire and water.

Witch awakening will be focused on orbs of earth and lightning.

New Dark Elf playable class

New Tier 9 Mounts

Won’t be faster but will have certain skills. Three types of mounts for tier 9. Hell fiery horse that has strong attack and leaves behind a fire trail that can explode nearby enemies. Pegasus that allow you to land safely/glide from high places. Unicorn that buff allies with a charge attack that penetrate enemy armor/defense. These tier 9 mounts can be acquired via breeding.

Misc.

Ingame voice chat to be added

Skill system will be restructured.

New player bounty system

Baby elephant mounts specialized for trading.

Hunting system to be expanded.

Updated hair and tail matching mod

First of all, shout out to @lewdshi for making this mod work, but there were some things I wanted to change because of my own taste. Pretty much I just changed lion/mouse/something tail to match the bow with hair color and made their ears white. Also some things on squirrel elin too, but nothing special. I didn’t bother to fix fox hair and first face in file, so don’t ask me how to do it, even though I’m sure there is also mod fix for it somewhere.

Updated mod

Few of my friends and myself included tested the mod and it works fine, but if there are any issues or whatever, feel free to message me here or whisper me in game on Dwindle (NA, Tempest Reach). You will need WinRAR or any similar program to extract files. Instructions are also included in case someone is new to downloading mods.

More changes to TERA's core systems coming to Korea

Brief summary: (Incomplete translation, credit to Idi0ticGenius)

Stamina System

- Stamina system removed, instead you’ll get a buff of ‘base HP/MP increased by 30%’ to replace the old effect of having 120 stamina.

- Priest/Mystic’s 120 stamina resurrection glyph changed to ‘Resurrect with max HP’.

- Items such as Arunic Panacea, Campfire, Firewood, Casian Tree (135 stam buff) will be unusable. Sell them to NPCs for gold.

- Mounts with the ‘recover stamina’ effect have been changed to ‘recover HP/MP every second’.

Merging of combat supplies (buffs)

- Charms, Scrolls (crit, warding, dash scolls etc), Eclipse Potion, Heart Potion, Panaceaic Bolster, Heaven’s Elixir and badages will be unusable. Sell them to NPCs for gold.

- Everful Nostrum will now include “Talisman Trio” and “Onslaught Scroll - Crit Power” effects. (“Onslaught Scroll - Attack Speed” for Healers).

- 3 new Battle Nostrums (consumables) will be sold at General Merchant. Uncommon/rare/superior tier nostrums.

- Buff Items that will remain: Battle Nostrums, Noctenium Infusions, Crystalbinds, Bravery Potions, Rootstock Food.

Potions

- All crafted potions will be unusable. The General Merchant will sell 3 new HP/MP potions.

- Each potions do not recover a high amount, but they have low cooldown. As for HP potions, an additional healing bonus is granted if you use them when you are stunned/knocked down.

- As with nostrums, 3 new types of HP and MP potions have been added to the General Merchant (Uncommon/rare/superior tier potions). Each of the 3 HP potions share cooldowns with each other. Each of the 3 MP potions share cooldowns with each other.

Buff/Debuff Icon UI Revamp

- Simplified buff icons in to 3 icons/categories:

Skills (All skill and glyphs, Crystal effects, Brooch, Talents)

Combat supplies (buffs - combat Supplies that directly affect DPS increase)

Other (EXP boost, gold boost, rep boost)

- Clicking the cogwheel icon next to your buffs allow you to simplify your buffs and party member’s buffs.

- When you mouse over the 3 simplified icons, you can see what specific buffs you have in that category.

- Debuffs will display under buffs with no changes.
