Every time this book comes up there are comments on it who have only seen the illustrations and they’re assuming it’s supposed to symbolize toxic relationships or something but every monster in the book is nice. It is literally just about how this girl likes to go on wholesome dates with tentacle globs.

Just wanted to add that it’s not one girl but different girls. Kumari isn’t the name of one girl. The word ‘Kumari’ means ‘young lady’ and is used as a title on certificates and official documents as an equivalent to 'Miss’. It’s pretty much 'Girl Loves A Monster’ (Just thought I’d clear that out for the non-Indians)

I also wanted to add that the first picture is a wedding scene and that’s a traditional south Indian Hindu wedding dress. So it’s not a date! It’s their wedding!

Today a bright light has gone out at the Stickyfrogs’ house.

Gumby has passed away peacefully this morning at age 10 years 11 months after fighting her liver disease for the past 3 years.

I am immensely grateful to her wonderful vet for taking care of her with such kindness and compassion.

Gumby has brought an infinite amount of Joy and Happiness to my life and I would like to remember her forever in this way.
