VALENTINE’S DAY CHARITY DATE AUCTION:
Location: The Barbican Centre Conservatory, City of London. Hosts: The Westminster Insider. Date: Friday, February 13th, 2026. Dress Code: Cocktail. Diana doesn't deal with peasants.
EVENT SUMMARY:
The Westminster Insider cordially invites all those who are in any way desirable to participate in their Valentine’s Day-themed charity auction! Don’t be selfish. Risk your happy relationship for the kids. The lucky men chosen to be involved will craft the date of their dreams (within reason) before said date is auctioned off, anonymously, to the highest bidder at the event’s silent auction. Once the auction is complete, the guests will gather in the Conservatory and find their way to their assigned table to start the opulent five course meal. Whilst the guests dine, the winners of each date will be announced, at which point it will be revealed who the gentleman's date belongs to.
BIDDING:
When the event starts, I will post an Excel spreadsheet that everyone will have access to edit. Each date will be listed, and will have a starting bid alongside it. Over the course of the event (until Sunday evening, real time) you will be able to track the bids and add your own on the dates of your choosing. When you see the spreadsheet, it will be pretty obvious what you have to do, but of course, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Please remember to bear your character's wealth in mind before upping any bids. Try to keep it somewhat realistic.
The first set of dates will be listed below. You will have until Thursday evening to send in any remaining. This should hopefully help those still struggling to come up with ideas, as well as stop any dates from being too similar.
A Valentine’s evening in London begins with a quiet drift between historic pubs of literary and philosophical note, followed by a bespoke dinner at the rooftop Lido in East London, and concludes with a private reflective session on the terrace at The Curtain Club, where the city stretches quietly below, framing conversation and thought rather than spectacle.
Escape for four days and three nights to Pousada Maravilha, with oceanfront bungalows, boat trips, and island adventures. As the sun goes down, slow it all down with unforgettable sunsets, great meals, and laid-back nights by the sea.
An overnight stay in Cyprus. First on the itinerary, a visit to Paphos Archaeological Park, where you will spend the day walking around the ancient ruins and absorbing the historical sites. The night will conclude with a candlelit meal on the beach, overlooking Petra tou Romiou. Breakfast in old town the next morning, before the trip ends with an afternoon spent at the Adonis baths waterfalls for a spell of relaxation.
Set in Andalusia, this date focuses on warmth, ease, and shared presence rather than spectacle. The evening begins with dinner at a small, local spot. Unpretentious, passionate, and full of good food meant to be shared. Afterward, the pair visits an intimate flamenco bar, where the music feels ALIVE. Later, they drive out of town into the surrounding hills, away from the lights. The vehicle is already set up with blankets/pillows, soft lighting, a telescope, and dessert packed earlier in the evening. The rest of the night is unstructured: stargazing, quiet conversation, comfortable silences, and the option to stay as long or as briefly as they like. Maybe even a boombox to play classic Latin music. No dress code, no strict schedule. Simply a relaxed night meant to feel grounding & have genuine conversation.
Ballet at the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC - Enjoy the Swan Lake followed by a nice dinner.
“Dining for just us two” at Akelarre - San Sebastián, Spain.
An escape to Marrakech! Designed to balance calm indulgence with immersive local experience. Morning begins slowly with a private visit to Majorelle Garden; timed early to enjoy the quiet paths, shade, and color before the crowds arrive. The afternoon is reserved for a traditional hammam and spa experience, offering time to rest, reset, and be cared for without obligation or schedule. Later, the evening centers on a private Moroccan cooking experience held within a riad kitchen. It’s hands-on, playful, unhurried, and ending with a shared dinner prepared together. The night concludes with a leisurely walk through Jemaa el-Fnaa, taking in music, lights, and street food at an easy pace before returning to the privacy of the riad.
Midnight at the abandoned theatre - a truly mysterious eve in North London.
A weekend break in Florence. Spend the day appreciating the works of the Uffizi gallery, before an evening of fine Italian dining and wine tasting. Close out the night with a walk across the Ponte Vecchio. The next day will be spent exploring the San Lorenzo market, enjoying street food and shopping, before a walking tour of the most beautiful sites the historical city has to offer.
A trip to Barcelona including a stop at the Mercado de La Boqueria to pick up fresh food and wine for a picnic and walk through Park Güell, dinner at the Michelin starred experimental seafood restaurant Disfrutar, and a show at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes.
NEW DATES ADDED:
Two days in Jordan. The trip starts with an early start, visiting the ancient city of Petra. As it takes at least a day to enjoy it properly, you’ll spend the night at the nearby Bedouin camp after exploring until nightfall. The next morning, take the scenic route back to the Dead Sea. Enjoy your time in the water, the mud baths, and the nearby spa where you can spend the time relaxing instead of talking.
Dash off to Monaco for a private rooftop breakfast at Amù, before exploring the cliffside gardens of the Jardin Exotique. Spend the afternoon as you please; shopping for luxury goods along the Boulevard des Moulins, watching the Formula One Grand Prix, or trying your luck at the casino which inspired James Bond. Work up an appetite for dinner at the Louis XV and for dancing at the Salle des Etoiles, serenaded by the Orchestra Philharmonique. Spend the night in the lavish Hôtel Hermitage – enjoying the company of your Valentine in the Duplex Diamond Suite, or your own peace in the private jacuzzi and the terrace overlooking the sea.
A private excursion to taste and see all that Rome has to offer. To begin, an early dinner at Le Colonnette in Rome. A special favor was called in with the management to ensure the candlelight dinner will be the only table on the floor. After food, drinks, and desert, enjoy a private guided tour of the eternal city with La Dolce Vita, while sipping prosecco on an handcrafted Italian luxury boat. To round out the evening, a personal tour of St. Peter’s Square and Vatican City, followed by a great nights rest at Singer Palace Hotel Roma.
A trip to Amsterdam, beginning with the eateries of De Pijp and the Albert Cuypt Market, with the mandatory stroopwafel. Then wander the art galleries of the city followed by a visit to the STRAAT and the world’s largest street art museum. And of course, cap things off with a visit to the (in)famous red light district.
In Lisbon, start the evening tucked away in the limestone alleys of Alfama, wandering between bars for a quick Ginjinha. Two seats booked in a Fado house, for a show. After some late-night tapas, a walk by the Tagus River, before taking a drive out to the cliffs of Cabo da Roca: a bottle of aged Port, and a candle lit table over looking the views.
Spend the morning exploring the coffee shops of Amsterdam. Go back in the afternoon after a decent nap just to check they were as good as you remembered. Take a break to go and get some of the iconic street food, you'll probably need it, before heading back to those coffee shops, because they were definitely great. If you can survive a second day, you're welcome to stick around.
After arriving in Wadi Rum, Jordan, the afternoon will be spent drifting through red sands in a private jeep, ending at a Martian dome tucked against the rock face. When the night progresses, dinner is a traditional Zarbcooked underground, shared outside by a crackling fire. There is no light pollution to be found here, so the rest of the night is just lying back on woven rugs, tea in hand, watching the starscape.
Start the Istanbul trip away at the private hamam in a converted 16th-century bathhouse for a steamy reset. When dusk arrives, take a private boat out onto the Bosphorus, watching the minarets of the Old City silhouette. Dinner, later that evening will comprise meze and raki at a quiet waterfront table in Kuzguncuk, away from the main tourist hubs. And, affer a great day, the night ends on a hidden terrace in Galata, drinking Turkish coffee by the Golden Horn.
Zermatt, Switzerland. To start the date: take the Gornergrat railway up the mountain just as the sun starts to rise, and take in all the views. Followed by reaching the top as the sunset begins to dip, watching the Matterhorn change over a glass of warm, spiced wine. Dinner is simple: a truffle fondue in a tucked-away mountain cabin by the cracking hearth. The way back down to the village, in the early hours of the morning is by a horse-drawn sleigh, wrapped up in heavy furs and blankets under a sky that’s completely clear of city light. Where a star guide will join you, and explain the constellations. Before heading back to the cabin, in the snow.
FINAL DATES:
Three days on a private luxury yacht off the coast of Monaco. A personal chef will attend to all meals not spent on the shore, and the days will be filled with plenty of champagne and lazy afternoons spent in the hot tub. Come evening, dress in your finest attire to explore the casinos and luxury restaurants on land, partying into the early hours of the morning. Need not apply if you get seasick when hungover. Or ever.
Two nights in Bruges, Belgium. Spend your days exploring the city, seeking out the secret gardens, a maze which languidly draw you to the entrance of the Groeninge Museum. Embark on an exploration over cobblestones of the cities medieval architecture via horse and carriage, finally ending at the Market Square to relish in the local wares and finally, an evening boat ride through the canals while sharing world renown Belgium coffee, chocolate, waffles and the finest wine all while marvelling the city by moonlight.
Wind down with a weekend at a private, rustic vineyard just outside of Bordeaux. Off the beaten track and nestled in the countryside, this will be the perfect getaway for somebody seeking a break from hectic city life—with cosy fires to nestle in front of at night, an extensive library to explore, and a plentiful wine selection ready for tasting. Day trips to the city and surrounding villages provide plenty of opportunity to explore local cuisine and culture.
An overnight trip to Paris, staying in a luxury suite at the Prince de Galles hotel. The night will start with cocktails at the Ritz, before attending a performance of the Eugene Onegin opera at Palais Garnier. Polish off an extravagant evening with a private dinner at Le Jules Verne restaurant, on the second level of the Eiffel Tower, after it has been closed to the general public.
Travel to Kotor, Montenegro, for the perfect blend of historical and coastal break. Explore the local museums, Old Town, and the San Giovanni fortress by day, before spending the evenings enjoying the local seafood and other cuisine along the coast. The second day, a boat trip to the Blue Cave and surrounding islands, before returning to the mainland for a final meal overlooking the Kotor Bay.
UPCOMING EVENT NOTIFICATION.
We're going for round two of our Valentine's Day event from 2024! This year, it will be slightly different, though, in that it will be the women bidding instead of the men. If you weren't around for the last iteration of this, everything you need to know will be summarised below. It was a blast when we did it the first time, so hopefully we'll have a lot of fun this time, too!
WHAT EXACTLY WILL THIS EVENT ENTAIL?
The Westminster Insider will be hosting a charity auction with a twist. Instead of auctioning off items to the highest bidder, they’ll be auctioning off dates with the men of the dash. Each of the male characters has a generous budget to design the date of their dreams. City breaks to Europe, dining at the fanciest restaurants, visiting places they’ve never been…whatever their heart desires! The best part? They don’t have to pay a penny. Westminster Insider will fund the entire thing. Just be aware, the pricier and more extravagant the date, the higher the starting bid will be set at, narrowing down your potential bidders… These dates will then be compiled, listed and open to be bid on by the female guests the weekend of the event. The twist, though? Nobody knows which date belongs to who. They’re completely anonymous until the winning bid is announced. Only then will both parties find out who they’ll be spending their time with.
WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW.
Not only is the bidding process anonymous in character, but out of character, too. Admin included. When submitting your date to me via the ask box, please make sure to do so anonymously so I don’t know who it’s for. If you have multiple characters, send them separately. I will compile a list of all characters taking part, (so please send me a message listing the characters you will be creating dates as, as soon as possible) and make sure the numbers add up. Nobody should be privy to which date belongs to who. Don’t tell your friends in secret to make sure that your ship ends up flying off into the sunset together. If they know each other as well as you think, they should be able to figure it out on their own…no? (If last time is anything to go by, then no, actually. Absolutely not.) If you’re unsure what your date should look like, HERE is the link for the last time we did this. Feel free to use them for inspiration. I will post a closing date for submissions some time in the week, and hopefully we can have the bidding process happen across Valentine's Day weekend. The full event summary with a description of the night, as well as the logistics behind the bidding process and what you’ll have to do, will be posted after the date submissions are closed. Keep your eyes peeled for further information. And, as always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. ♥

Lorenzo Mastronardi
BASIC INFORMATION:
NAME: Guillaume Fournier. AGE: 40. PLACE OF BIRTH: Paris, France. AFFILIATION: The French Organization. OCCUPATION: Loyalist. FACE CLAIM: François Arnaud. AVAILABILITY: OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY:
The resentment he held for Théodore Chaussard was unfair, and he knew it. ‘You weren’t there. You don’t know how it went down.’ It was a mantra he repeated to himself often; the only way he could excuse the idea of one of the family’s most respected Commandants choosing to save himself over his men. Over his little brother. A St. Clair loyalist moulded by the pain of loss was hardly ground-breaking, but perhaps because of the circumstances, Guillaume had always had a little more trouble dealing with it than the others. Of course, the majority of his anger was directed toward Johnathan Parsons; he was the one who’d pulled the trigger during what were supposed to be peace talks, after all. Yet, his pain was compounded knowing that had Théodore Chaussard been honest—had he told Parsons the truth, that he was the highest ranking member present—maybe his brother would have been spared. Being angry at an enemy was one thing. Blaming an ally, quite another. Maybe he was angry at himself, too. If it hadn’t been for his choices back in Paris, Léo never would have wound up involved with the St. Clair family at all. Like little brothers often did, he’d watched as Guillaume had prowled the streets of their home city with his powerful friends, and admired it enough that he sought to follow in his footsteps. The two became heavily involved with the St. Clairs in their teens. Even if you grew up with nothing—something the boys were painfully familiar with—they promised a life far removed from struggle…because association alone was a powerful status symbol in a city that bent to the French Organization’s every whim. Like many of the others sucked into the life, Guillaume had never had a good relationship with his parents. Maybe that was what made travelling to Launceston such an easy decision when François St. Clair had asked it of him. As long as his little brother followed, it didn’t matter. The French Organization was a solid example that home was wherever family was, and as he watched many of his friends make the journey to the United States, he realised that the St. Clairs were very much his. Guillaume thrived in his new home, but he could tell his brother struggled. Launceston was violent in ways Paris never had been, because in Paris, they had no real competition. Across the pond? It was an entirely different story. Everything they earned had to be fought for, and even whilst they enjoyed the knowledge that they overpowered the other gangs in the city almost absolutely, it wasn’t without bloody and violent resistance. There was never a moment it was safe to let your guard down. Never a moment where you weren’t forced to look over your shoulder, lest you end up another fucking crime statistic.
Guillaume adapted to it quickly. Léo never did, even though he tried his best to put on a brave face so he didn’t feel like any more of a burden. Maybe it was because he got so swept up in his new role in Launceston, but things between the brothers changed. Léo felt side-lined as he struggled. Guillaume was spending more and more time with his Commandant friends, and less with the person who mattered to him most. Not that he neglected him entirely, but it sure felt that way now he looked back on his mistakes. Maybe if he’d just been a little bit more present, Léo never would have been charmed by the idea of Porto Velho. Léo had made his own connections, including the woman he would eventually marry, Estelle. And when she was chosen for a Commandant’s position in Porto Velho, of course, he followed. It was the first time Guillaume and his brother had ever been apart. They’d always been inseparable, because Léo would have followed him anywhere. Not this time, though. And everything felt wrong without him. Guillaume was primed to make Commandant in Launceston—about the highest honour there was after making Commandant in Paris. Yet after a few months without Léo, he turned his back on it all and travelled to Porto Velho to fix his mistakes. This time, it was him doing the following, and Guillaume wasn’t too proud to admit that. It would take some time, but eventually, it began to feel like things were getting back to normal between them. Guillaume was making extra effort to be involved with his life, to support him as he began to make his own name for himself in this new city. Short-lived, though. Quite literally.
Estelle had been the one to break the news to him the night it happened. The French had met with the Rutherfords—Johnathan Parsons, to be exact—in the hopes that they could come to some agreement regarding the division of Porto Velho’s territory amongst themselves. The two families had always managed to co-exist before that. London was a prime example. But it seemed this time, the Rutherfords were not willing to share, and their idea of sending a message to make that clear was murdering the French party involved. Well, murdering all except one… They’d spared Théo. Not his little brother, though. Guillaume had completely shut down when he’d found out. He didn’t even have it in him to attempt to be the supportive brother-in-law that Estelle needed. Participation in the French Organization’s business took a backseat whilst the others sought revenge, because he just couldn’t process it enough to be angry. Couldn’t process it enough to live anything but a sliver of his former existence. Until he was angry. Unfairly, perhaps, at all the wrong people… The Frenchman had barely communicated with the St. Clairs until they finally reached out about the expansion to London. Whilst he’d once been close with the likes of Laurent, Oliver, Richard…he’d slipped into the background, a memory of what once was, and dealt with his pain in brutal and silent isolation. Even his friendship with Maria had suffered, and she was as close to a best friend as he had. The St. Clairs knew better than to push, though; particularly when he’d unleashed his anger rather violently on Théo once before. It seemed unlikely the Commandant would survive a second head-to-head. When the opportunity to expand to London came up, however, they knew they had to at least offer the chance. Offer the opportunity to fight back against those who had hurt him. How could he decline? The Rutherfords had declared war upon the French Organization the moment Johnathan Parsons had shot unarmed men who simply sought resolution. The idea of going to London—the place they called home—and ripping it to shreds? It was just enough to bring back a spark of something, and for the first time in a year, Guillaume wasn’t numb. Wasn’t subject to a life of crippling guilt and misery. That same fire that had served him so well in Launceston was back, but this time, it didn’t burn for pride, or to defend the honour of the St. Clairs. It wasn’t directed toward their decades long war with the Russians, or the Koreans who had been a perpetual thorn in his side during his time there. Instead, it was solely for the British who had transformed from benevolent business partner to enemy number one. The years spent in London have not been as productive as he would have hoped, and the losses the French have suffered in the meantime have only heightened his ire. Trying to fight a family so engrained in the city’s very being would be the equivalent of someone coming to Paris and expecting to overthrow the St. Clairs. Guillaume can see that, now. Whilst he still has his problems with Théodore—no one dares leave them alone together—he has at least gravitated back toward the people he once called friends. Has started to reintegrate into the St. Clair family he’d once seen as his own. And as each day passes without Rutherford blood shed by his own hand, his hunger for their pain grows. Eventually, it will reach a breaking point. And all of them know it.
SOCIAL CONNECTIONS:
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single. FAMILY: Léo Fournier (brother, deceased) CONNECTIONS:
Maria Azenha: Good friend. After all of the brutality created by his own hands, both in Launceston and now London, it would be easy to assume Guillaume is nothing but a brute. Seeing him with Maria proves that he has a softer side for those who matter, though. They met in Porto Velho, before his brother's death, and what started out as mutual flirtation, ended up in a meaningful friendship, instead. And he's glad for that. Whilst it strained their relationship, too, she was one of the few he didn't cut off entirely during his mourning period, and that speaks volumes about how much their friendship means to him.
Laurent St. Pierre: Good friend. They have been friends for almost fifteen years, ever since the Launceston days, and he appreciates greatly that one of the 'original' crew is present in London. It makes it feel a little more like the old times. Laurent was the only other person besides Maria who could get through to him after he lost Léo, and whilst he rebuffed efforts to return to the St. Clairs at that time, he appreciated the fact Laurent still cared enough to look out for him. The closest thing to family he has left, and Guillaume doesn't take that for granted.
Johnathan Parsons: Enemy. Oh, what he wouldn't give to meet this fucker face to face. Gang politics be damned, he'll break his neck without a second thought.
Théodore Chaussard: Despises. Whilst some would argue his anger is irrational, and he probably even realises it himself, Guillaume doesn't care. He will forever hold Théodore partially responsible for Léo's death, and it's a lot easier than blaming himself. The last time they spoke about it and tried to clear the air, Guillaume put the man in hospital. They have never tried since, and the rest of the French Organization knows better than to push for resolution...
Estelle Guerin: Sister-in-law. Maybe it's guilt at the fact he essentially abandoned her after Léo's death, but Guillaume feels particularly protective of her these days. More so knowing everything she's sacrificed to come to London. They have a shared goal, to hurt the Rutherfords by any means necessary, and he finds comfort in knowing they will always prioritise that, even as St. Clair interests shift. They have become very close friends since moving to London.
BASIC INFORMATION:
NAME: Emilio Morelli. AGE: 55. PLACE OF BIRTH: Naples, Italy. AFFILIATION: The Rutherford Family. OCCUPATION: Soldier. FACE CLAIM: Mark Consuelos. AVAILABILITY: OPEN.
BIOGRAPHY:
Brixton was kind to few, but in the beginning, it was especially unkind to him. It’d been just shy of his twelfth birthday when his family inexplicably decided that Italy was no longer the place they wanted to call home. The streets of Naples were all he’d ever known—all he’d ever wanted to—and thus the adjustment expected of him when they’d arrived in London was immense. Whilst his mother had been sympathetic to his plight, however, it destroyed his already difficult relationship with his father. In the beginning, he’d felt like an outsider. María, his older sister, had always looked out for him, but similarly to Emilio, she was not happy with the move. At twenty-one—barely a year after settling into London—she moved back to Italy to marry her childhood sweetheart. In her absence, Emilio lost the only friend he had. The area in which they lived was predominantly populated by people of Central and South American origin; handy for him, when his Mexican mother had at least bestowed bilingualism upon her two children. Not being able to speak a lick of English didn’t seem to matter too much in Brixton, but it certainly didn’t mean he was accepted, either. If Emilio had been fooled into thinking immigrants would stick together, he soon learned that the communities weren’t exactly welcoming to outsiders; particularly when they didn’t really see him as Mexican—just another European. Never feeling like you fit in was enough to make any kid angry. Emilio’s temper had always been bad, but the circumstances only stoked the flame that often burned brightest out in the streets of Lambeth. Frankly, he lost count of the number of beatings his father dished out in response to his son getting into yet another fight with kids twice his size. It never changed him, though. It didn’t ever fix his behaviour or subdue his fury. It just made him resent his father. Just made the chip on his shoulder that bit heavier. To say he had any loyalty to Brixton was laughable when they had done nothing but grind him down. Beating the shit out of Puerto Rican gangsters was never about cleaning up the streets like it had been for Vidal and Mateo, and in the beginning, when they’d first crossed paths going after the same drug dealers, he’d looked down on them for that. Thought they were foolish and naïve imbeciles, lucky to know what acceptance felt like. Yet, an unexpected friendship developed quickly between the three young men. And perhaps for the first time since leaving Italy, he realised he didn't have to be alone. That was something worth fighting for.
Over the years, his resentment toward Brixton lessened. Emilio began to understand why they closed themselves off to the rest of London, and why they looked out for their own. It was because no one else would. Whilst he would never have the same feelings of loyalty—the same sense of responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of the people there—he could at least begin to understand why his friends did. And if it meant he got to tag along and beat a few guys senseless? Well, that sure fucking worked for him. When the Rutherfords came into the picture, Emilio was the least hesitant about joining their ranks. Whilst Mateo and Vidal’s primary concern remained the future of Brixton, he was a little more concerned with his own. They would have protection they’d never had before. Money beyond what they could loot from whichever smack dealer they’d targeted that week. Rutherford presence in Lambeth would keep the streets cleaner than they'd ever been, and present the trio with opportunities to grow they’d never find anywhere else. What was there to hesitate about? Vidal had seen sense immediately, but despite Emilio’s best efforts, Mateo was not to be persuaded. It caused some friction between them to start, but perhaps it was then he realised how much Vidal and Mateo really meant to him. Because no matter what his friend chose, Emilio knew he would always have his back. Even if he was an idiot. Back then, even with the endorsement of the Brits, he’d never been particularly ambitious. But when he met Reyna, that sure changed… Emilio had only been a member of the Rutherford family for a few years at that point, but his work had changed little—keep the gangs of Lambeth subdued. In this particular instance, that'd meant finding a group of Puerto Rican drug dealers and reminding them that if they didn’t want to pay the Rutherfords, they didn’t get to work in their territory at all. What he hadn’t expected to find upon entering their safe house was a fiery little law school student giving them all a piece of her mind as if they weren’t vicious gangsters who could rip her to shreds. Turned out they had dragged her older brother into their ranks to pay off his drug debts. Kept him hooked so he’d never actually be able to work his way out from under them. Nasty bastards… Emilio had beaten the three men senseless—one to within an inch of his life. Whilst he usually rampaged beyond reason, when she’d shouted ‘not that one, that’s my brother!’ he’d actually listened. Calmed down. Picked his ass up off the floor by his shirt collar, and dropped him in front of her like a sack of shit… “Nice to meet you,” Emilio had offered, slightly breathless and bloodied. “Nice to meet you, too…” she’d replied. And the rest was history. Emilio had started to get his shit together after that. Thirty years old, but better late than never, right?
The two were married three years after their initial meeting, and Emilio decided that if he was going to be the kind of man she deserved, he couldn’t keep running around after low-value gangsters in Brixton. It was at that point he began to lean more into the Rutherford family, whilst Mateo and Vidal continued to prioritise their home. It never interfered with their friendship, but he could tell that his brothers worried about him. Worried about what becoming closer to the Rutherfords might turn him into when he was already a loose cannon… Unlike his friends, Emilio never felt as though the higher-ups looked down upon him. If anything, they seemed keen to give him more opportunities to prove himself, and he was more than willing to take them now he had a family of his own—a wife, and eventually two beautiful sons—to provide for. Instead of his presence remaining solely in Lambeth, he was soon being requested across the city; by lieutenants he would eventually call friends. When Johnathan Parsons returned from Porto Velho, Emilio’s reputation was so respected, and in some cases, feared, that Emilio found himself called upon by him, too. Whilst Vidal may be the one formally recognised as a lieutenant, Emilio is arguably more involved and connected with the higher-ups in the Rutherford family, even having a relatively good relationship with Andrew Rutherford. He simply prefers to be hands-on rather than running a crew of his own, hence his constant rejection of the title for himself. Now, he operates as one of Johnathan’s right hand men, and has graduated from teaching petty gangsters a lesson to defending his family against much more significant threats to their interests. More violence, higher stakes. To see him now—all designer suits, high powered friends, and well-spoken English—is such a far cry from the man he once was, he isn’t sure he even recognises himself. And honestly? Emilio is just fine with burying the rejected little kid from Brixton. Now, amongst the Rutherfords, he really has found acceptance.
SOCIAL CONNECTIONS:
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Reyna Fuentes (wife) FAMILY: Leonardo, Santiago Morelli (sons, unplayable), Giovanna Palazzolo (niece) CONNECTIONS:
Francisco Vidal: Best friend. One third of the formidable trio, and truly considered a brother to him. Both being involved with the Rutherfords from the start gave them a bond that Mateo missed out on slightly. Vidal was best man at his wedding. Reyna is very close with Vidal's partner, Kathleen. Their two families are basically inseparable... Emilio is immensely proud of Vidal for all he has achieved, particularly accepting title of Lieutenant, and will always support his future ambitions in any way that he can.
Mateo Herrera: Best friend. The second third. Like Vidal, there is nothing Emilio wouldn't do for this man. They are family, regardless of their standing within, or opinions toward the Rutherford family, and Emilio always makes sure he knows that. Mateo was usually the level-head that kept Emilio's temper in check, and that still holds true. Emilio knows he wouldn't be where he is today without him.
Johnathan Parsons: Good friend. Whilst he may have been wary of the man at first, Emilio quickly realised that they're two peas in a pod. As his own dedication to the Rutherford family grew, so too did his relationship with Parsons. They're both hot-headed and rough around the edges, but instead of clashing due to their similar personalities, they tend to get on like a house on fire. If these two are coming at you together? Better fucking run.
Jordana Velásquez: Good friend. When they first met, the two immediately clicked; something of a rarity for him when he's usually distrustful right off the bat. They are both equally dedicated to the Rutherfords, and as such, she quickly became his go-to person to discuss work related matters. It's not that he doesn't trust Mateo and Vidal—he does, more than anyone—but he is also aware that their priorities are different, thus doesn't want to burden them. With Jordana, he doesn't have to worry about that.
Giovanna Palazzolo: Niece. When María eventually moved back to London, Giovanna was the first of her children born in the UK. Emilio didn't have much of a chance to bond with the four who came before, so she definitely got some special treatment. They are very close. Emilio worries about her connections to the Italians, and regularly tries to get her to come over to the Rutherford side, instead. When the Russians kidnapped and tortured her, it was the only time he'd considered going against Rutherford orders—the fact they are still technically allied with them, a growing point of contention between him and leadership.

So, this year, the Mistletoe event is going to be slightly different. Mostly because I have had so much going on in life, I completely forgot to post it around Christmas like I meant to. I apologise for that.
You will still get a piece of mistletoe, but because of the timing...we're going to make it New Year's Eve themed to shake it up a bit! So, the idea is, your characters will have to share the midnight kiss with each other instead of it being Christmas themed. And as we know, New Year's Eve parties are always completely drama free and normal around here...so what could go wrong?
THE GENERAL IDEA:
For every character you play, you get a piece of mistletoe.
Each piece of mistletoe gives you the chance to nominate a couple–any two taken characters in the group–to meet underneath it.
The players behind the couples will write out the interaction of a mistletoe moment, and you will get to watch it unfold. Many will likely have to be written in an AU format, because I know you people are going to be extra as fuck about this, but the players involved do have the option to make it canon if they so wish (be it in the present, or something that happened in the past.)
THE RULES:
Please read them, because many of you are notoriously bad at doing so.
To select your couple of choice, just send the word ’Mistletoe’ to the main page, followed by the two names, and I will add it to the list. If the couple has already been suggested, I may prompt you to send another to get a more even spread.
You can send your nominations in straight away.
If you play multiple characters, you may send them in all in one message.
Nominations don’t have to be in character. You’re choosing. That said, if you want to have fun with that, you absolutely can. It’ll give me a chuckle.
Nominations must be off anonymous, so I know that you’re only picking one couple per character played. That being said, I’ll be the only one who knows which couple you’ve picked, so it will be anonymous in that sense.
Any format is acceptable. Whether you want to gif chat, do a joint-drabble/self para, mini-paras or a full-blown novel, all is good. Whatever you have time for.
This year, you're free to nominate your own characters.
Please try to get involved! It’s not compulsory, but it’s a bit of fun, and I’ll be kind of disappointed if you don’t bother. It'll be a good way to get everyone back into the spirit of writing again after having some time off.
When the list of couples is posted, if you have too many characters nominated and you don’t think you’ll be able to keep up, just let me know! There’s no need to feel pressured. This is just some fun, and you shouldn’t feel overwhelmed.
Lastly, after I post the list of nominated couples, if your characters aren’t amongst those selected and you would still like to be involved, I will pick a partner for you! Don’t be afraid to come forward if you didn’t get nominated but wanted to be.
There will be no time limit on writing them, as we're all a bit rusty, but try to get the nominations in as soon as possible. I'll post a closing date for the nominating process at some point this weekend.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
HAPPY NOMINATING!
Are you active? If so, will inactive roles be reopened
We are! I am currently recovering from a broken spine, so my priority has not been the group. But I’m hopeful I will be back to admin duties soon. 💙

RUTHERFORD FIGHT CLUB 2025:
Location: The Underground, Hackney. Host: Lara Rutherford. Date: Friday, April 4th. Dress Code: Black tie. Look fancy or get out.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
It's been a while, so it feels like time for another fight club. For the first and perhaps only time (so make the most of it) women will be allowed to take part. Lara hates everyone so much, she's absolutely willing to even see the girls scrap at this point. For obvious reasons, women will only be pitted against other women. Don't panic, your girl won't be wandering into the ring with Aviv. That said, there will still be fights for the men, too. They will take place after the female match-ups, as I expect there will be more of them, and they're the ones Lara really wants to see, okay. As always, it will be a classy affair. If you look like a peasant, Lara's people will turn you away at the door, and whilst there's plenty of space for pre-fight drama, don't go murdering anyone before the match ups. It's not a cute look and security will beat your ass. There will be plenty of alcohol, private tables for each faction (in separate corners of the room), and of course, space on the balcony for the people Lara actually likes. She'll let you know if you're invited up there. xo Drop me a message in the next few days to let me know if your characters wish to participate. If you're not sure whether they would, don't hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss it together!
ADDITIONAL NOTES AND INFORMATION:
Fight Club is always a little hectic, and I get busy, so please do bear these things in mind before asking any questions about what is to come:
Your characters do not know who they are matched with until they enter the Fight Club and see the list, but I will release the list to you guys as soon as I know who's taking part so you can start plotting how the fights are going to go down, and maybe get ahead on some writing. Feel free to post how they would react to finding out their opponents on the night, though, because it will be the first time they know for sure.
All the rules for Fight Club can be found HERE. Please refresh your memory before taking part. Also be sure to follow The Underground page to keep updated on what’s going on, and to find all the fights and reactions in one place.
Also refresh your memory of the VENUE layout for descriptive purposes.
I cannot stress it enough, despite the fact it’s in the rules listed above, but just to remind TWICE, there are no phones. You will not be able to contact people outside of the fight.
I will let you know when to post your fights if you’re a part of one. The first fight will be posted Saturday evening, giving a day for general interactions beforehand. and we will go from there. A little social drama before is exactly what we all need right now. Go wild. Just not too wild, or Lara will have you assassinated.
Role playing will begin as soon as I post the admin note. I'll mention any tags you need to use in the post. ♥
As the first of April approaches, I wanted to take a moment to say how grateful and proud I am to have been a part of this group from so early on. I remember the early days of Mob, and we weren’t just figuring out our characters- we were meeting each other for the first time. It was simultaneously the most nerve wracking and exhilarating time. To be able to run this type of group for this long is impressive. To still have the ability to keep up with new bios and plot drops is amazing. You have always supported me Kate, and I could not ask for a better friend. I love you so much Katie Kat and I thank the higher powers every day that I was able to get better and come home ♥️
Happy Mobiversary ♥️
Forever,
Mina Bean 💋
Girl, you're out here making me emo af. I can't believe I've known you for almost thirteen years, now. Thank you for having stuck with me all this time. For sticking with the group. For coming back home. Love you so damn much. You're stuck with me for life, bitch. ♥
