You’re Sweeter Than Apple Pie <3

Kenma looked down at his phone to see your multiple tries to contact him. He thought if he ignored you long enough everything would go back to before, but he had the urge to see you again. He tossed and turned unable to fall asleep just laying on his bed suddenly heard a door opening thinking it was Kuroo who came to annoy him once again but to his surprised he heard a familiar voice.
“Kenma?” You yelled out. He’s eyes widened unknowing what to do, he currently looks like a mess not knowing how to react seeing you for the first time in a while. When he heard a knock on his bedroom door he quickly pretended he was asleep. “Kenma? Are you sleeping?” You asked but heard no reply. “i’m going to enter your room okay? I’m not sure if you’re actually asleep or still ignoring me, I’m sorry it’s just you haven’t replied to any of my messages or calls.” You took a breath in before opening the door.
There you finally saw him again. He was laying so peacefully, and unconsciously a smile was formed from the sight of him. “Wait, I didn’t really think this out i kinda just went for it. I was so confident before i went and asked Kuroo for the spares key. This might be an awkward situation for him, oh no” You thought slightly panicking.
Finally you went up to his bed and sat near him. “Kenma.” You whispered. He was still “sleeping” peacefully. Once again you called out his name and this time he groaned in response .
As he was ‘sleeping’ he was panicking he didn’t know what to do or how to react. He would feel his heart racing a bit from you calling out his name. He’s trying to calm down but doesn’t really know how to. The point is he's having a crisis in his brain. Back to Y/n.
He’s eyes slowly flutter trying to ‘wake up’, “Y/n? What are you doing here?” He asked sleepily. “You weren’t replying to me so i asked Kuroo to lend me his spare keys.”
“Oh sorry about that, i wasn’t feeling the best.” He said as he sat up. “I’m also sorry i kinda just entered your house and your room without permission so this might be really weird for you but i just wanted to see you.” You said as you fiddled with your hands. He’s eyes widened in surprised by your response. “You did?” Was all he could say. “Of course I did, I haven't gotten any contact from you when we were usually always together.” The room was silent, you could feel the tension.
You finally spoke up. “Kenma” He hummed in response. “Let’s make an apple pie.” You looked at him determined. He look back at you confused. “I don’t think I have the ingredients for it or the pans.” You give a small smile. “I brought all of the stuff we need before i came here.” “Oh then we could do that just let me shower and change.” “Okay i’ll be in the kitchen waiting for you.” You got up and walked away.
You both let a sigh as your faces turned red trying to act calm around each other.
Kenma finished his shower and calmed down, finally headed to the kitchen to see what will happen. He walked to the counter where everything was set up. You look at him with an excited face, he couldn’t help himself but smile.
You both wash your hands before doing anything. You asked him if he could mix the dry ingredients together as you do the same with the wet ones. Once you added them together you made sure the dough was good enough before putting it in the fridge. After that he started peeling the apple as you cut them. Then you add more ingredients to the apples before putting it in the fridge. You ask him to preheat the oven to 375°F as you place flour on the counter for the dough, you part one side for the bottom and one for the top. After you place the dough in the pan and also the apples, Kenma places the dough on top of everything. You brush the pie with beaten eggs and sprinkled it with sugar. Kenma then cuts four slits in the top of the pie to create a vent. Finally you place the pie in the oven and wait for around an hour.
“We finished and now we wait for it to be baked.” You look at him. He nodded in response. He went over to wash his wash before going to the livingroom to turn on a console before sitting down. You weren’t sure if he wanted you to follow so you stayed back cleaning a bit. “Y/n?” He called out. “Yeah?” You reply. “We can clean that later, can you come over here so we could play together? I mean we don’t have to if you don’t want to i just thought this could pass time.”
“Of course we can just let me finish cleaning the counter.” “Okay”. When you finish making a space where you both could eat later, you finally washed and dried your hands before walking over to him. He passed you a controller and started a game. You both were having a good time before being startled by the alarm. You quickly got up to check on the pie, Kenma followed behind you. You got the oven mitts and took out the pie.
You grabbed a knife you cut two pieces and handed one to him. As he took a bite of it a satisfied smile was formed. “I missed the sweet taste of this.” He said. “I’m sure you taste sweeter.” You say as you slowly lean to kiss him. As he was leaning toward you he turned his head. “Stop! I cant do this.” He said. “Oh I’m sorry, was i going to quickly?” You ask.
“We can’t do this Y/n.” “Were you uncomfortable if so i’m s-“ “‘You have a boyfriend!” He turned to face you again. Your face frowned in confusion. “I do? Who?” You ask. “That guy you were with some weeks ago.” He mumbled. “Oh Tooru, i guess you say that.” You finally made the connection after all this time. “That’s why you been ignoring me. Kenma i don’t have a boyfriend nor do i like him!” You softly grabbed his face to face you. He’s eyes widened a bit.
“You’re the one I like! I was a bit slow to figuring it out but let me say this properly, Kenma Kozume I like you.” You said as you smile at him letting his face go. He took a moment to process what you said. he couldn’t help but feel so happy, he’s stomach was filled with butterflies till he finally mange to say something. “I like you too Y/n. Will you go out will me?”
As you leaned into him for a quick kiss which quickly turned into a small make out session. You pulled away and smile as you said, “Now i know you’re sweeter than apple pie, i’ll be happy to be your girlfriend.”
