Lols sorry guys!! School got kind of insane so I haven’t posted anything about this au in aggeessssss

I’m planning on rewriting and reworking the fic I started a little bit so I took them down sorry 🤧🤧

The au itself will also be more worked on in that I’m scrapping the aspect of other animals! Everyone will be birds now! Wooooo!

I probably still won’t be updating for a while because again, School is insane. I really want to continue to build this au and write more fics so stay tuned for more at a later date ♥️♥️

I just found the fic that inspired this AU and the name of it “flightless wings”

I thought it was super cool and interesting how some birds can’t fly in certain conditions because of their wing shape which got me thinking about other wing types and birds

I still wanted to stay true to my original Inspo so I decided to call it “flightless wings”

Even though not everyone has wings, some people will have attributes of other animals, and the character I focus on the most, Tim, can fly, I still think that name is unique. Like, once you know about it the name will be recognised any time you hear it

Hi!!! Thank you so much for enjoying what I’ve put out about flightless wings so far!!

I’ve posted basically all info I have here on tumblr and I’m pretty sure there’s even less on TikTok… so what you’ve seen is probably all that’s out anywhere atm

There isn’t currently anything about this specific AU on Ao3 yet, BUTT!!! I am working on a small 3 chapter fic for it (that started small but every-time I start writing and thinking about it, it gets bigger) which will be called “slowing descent” There are some snippets from the work in progress you might have seen at @mockingjaybirds and I’ll be posting about it here when I’m finished as well

I am also thinking about writing more stuff but first I need to flesh out some more characters and finish writing my first one 💖💖

Very rough universal Red Robin suit design unless I say otherwise that I actually drew back with the Jason drawings and forgot existed ^_^

Some details might change whenever I draw it but we ball

Let’s just call this revision no. 2 flightless wings

BUT NOW TO DO KON!!!!! (Also little ramble under)

Coat that looks like a sparrows tail and a bunch of triangles bc more pointy shapes I love pointy shapes + the triangle symbol will make his costume look more similar to Kons which is my goal.

Hood would just kinda round out his head silhouette and make it even more bird .

Unlike Bruce I want him to lean into his birdness, in this AU Batman’s cape is super long creature looking so he can completely conceal his wings or puff them up under the cape to make himself seem even larger. While doing that batman leap thing with his cape out behind him he flats his wings under the cape still.

I got rid of the claws but I might give him retractable ones on his gloves?

Idk why I did that with the shoes I thought it would be cool and balance out the light colour of his face better to have some skin at the bottom as well I miiight leave the shoe colour yellow instead of black depending on how it looks and I might make the gloves black again with yellow palms.

No clue what’s going on with the shins but we ball!!

I think this design is much more whimsical and silly which is my goal.

I wanted to try flightless wings AU Tim as like a cool anime poster cover. It's not quite as anime like I wanted it to be but I still think it looks good

Also for some reason my brain associates Tim in his Red Robin suit with spider lily flowers, idk why?
