I think the Soul Echo may have been created by the characters from Void Paradox. Most of them are scientists who specialize in alternate dimensional travel. And the Soul Echo allows the user to look at multiple universes. Also, the Soul Echo has the ability to turn any species into a human. Hmmm, it's almost like the scientists from Void Paradox have done that exact kind of stuff, like when they turned Aphmau into a llama/alpaca in Mod Mod World.
And we do know that the origin of the Soul Echo is up in the air. It just appeared from the surface one day. And with it's ability to look into alternate dimensions? It's highly likely it's from an alternate universe.
I would love to see a fic where Void Paradox Aphmau comes to MCD and is all "BTW, one time I met a guy named Laurence from here. Where can I find him?" and everyone is like "Uhhhhhh, it's complicated..." and she demands for them to take her to the Nether.
There, Laurence is all brooding like "I still can't believe Aphmau betrayed me like that, rumble rumble..." and he hears a familiar voice yell his name. He turns angrily, expecting to see Lady Aphmau... only to scream in shock (and excitement...) when he sees the alt baddie version of Aphmau that he thought he made up in a dream that one time.
"You!?"
"Hey! I heard you turned evil! What's up with that!? I demand ANSWERS!"
"Nevermind that, how are you here?!"
"I asked first!"

Y'all I was gonna post on Valentines day but I got nervous 😀 I'm not confident in doing semi realistic art styles.
Laurence really gotta free himself from the shackles of his one sided situationship. Like VP/MMW Aph is literally an alt baddie with no Aaron.
Who is The Wolf?
Even by the end of s2 for Mermaid Tales, we never learn the identity of The Wolf. It's left a mystery but with a massive hint at the end. The Wolf opens a portal before going through. And Mermaid Tales does mention alternate universes. We see this when Aphmau first touches The Soul Echo and what Layla said in the finale. And we see The Soul Echo has the ability to look into alternate universes, and that it also just mysteriously fell from the surface one day with no origin, implying it's not from this world.
I've seen theories that The Wolf is Ein. But that just doesn't feel realistic to me. Ein has done a lot, but dimension hopping? Not quite. But there is one Aphmau universe that this is seen quite often.
One thing that will forever bug me is the insane historical revisionism Japan did after WW2 and the way it WORKED. People now talk about how cute and amazing Japan is, completely romanticizing the country and their history. They don't know anything about comfort women, or Unity 731, or the Nanjing Massacre. You can admire the culture and the beauty of the country, but people act like it is the perfect country. They say things like how "Japan barely has any crime" as if they don't have a huge problem when it comes to SA. For every 1,000 rapes, only 10–20 lead to a criminal conviction, and fewer than half of those convicted are actually incarcerated.
Japan acts like their history doesn't exist. They act like they have done nothing wrong and that their actions during WW2 never happened.
I'm ranting about this because there's been this trend on TikTok that's like "how American shows portray <insert race> vs Japan" as a way to glaze Japan. And the one that really set me off after seeing this all over my feed was "Chinese rep", as if most of China doesn't still hate Japan for what they did to them in Nanjing. Absolutely disgusting how people ignore the rampant racism in Japan.
Aphmau: I'm not a werewolf! These things don't come naturally to me and I barely know anything about their culture!
Also Aphmau: It just feels so natural to call all the other werewolves my pups because I'm the alpha female!
I swear, Ein x Aphmau were so cute in early PDH s2 until Ein became a stalker and a werewolf supremacist
It could be 10 year old me talking though, because I LOVED this ship growing up
I know I've been posting a lot about Aphmau, but idc, I like keeping track of my thoughts
ANYWAYS, the way Aphmau approaches situations with the werewolves is... frustrating. Like during the interviews for the alphas, the way she treats their responses is just... annoying. Like, I get it, you don't care for the punching and stuff. But we've seen since s1 that this kind of stuff is part of their entire system and she is shaming them for it and completely trying to overwrite it. And it's not like the werewolves really have an issue with the fighting, they even seem to enjoy it. Also, during that interview process, Ein says that Aphmau called Blaze a 'bad dog', which we learned before is incredibly offensive, but it's stated that "it's ok because Blaze didn't care!" It's just frustrating how she REFUSES to properly engage with their culture and behaviors. Hell, her waiting until near the end of the year to pick a second leader is proof enough. She doesn't care about the werewolf kids. I wish she was more called out for this. I get the werewolves like her because she's nice to them. But is that not just the bare minimum??? Are the werewolf kids treated so horribly by the school that Aphmau being nice to them is enough for them? And the kids who do criticize her for her passive behavior are always painted as villains when they are COMPLETELY IN THE RIGHT. She doesn't engage with them, their culture, and try to understand their behaviors. Instead she tries to change them without learning anything about them. She wasn't even going to join their club and was willing to let the entire werewolf student body implode in on themselves just because she doesn't want to get involved with them. Even when EVERYONE, including Aaron, was telling her they admired her and looked up to her and needed her. ALSO, her saying she was fine with picking Kai as alpha is insane. The only reason she is alpha is because the werewolf kids accepted her and Aaron. But at the end of the day, she is still human, so she doesn't get the right to pick a nonwerewolf for this position without input from the other werewolf kids. She was only given the title because the werewolves gave it to her.
It was just so... well, kind of selfish and cowardly tbh, but the series never touches on that. That's kind of what I mean when I say MyStreet Aphmau is a Mary Sue. She can do no harm, but when bad things happen due to her actions, it's never HER fault, but the people around her. Some werewolves criticize her for being a passive leader who doesn't try and doesn't understand them? That's not her fault and THEY'RE the bad guys!
The principle in PDH s2 is driving me INSANE. She refuses to interact with the issues going on with the werewolf students because those are "werewolf problems." Just talking about how they need to get over it and figure it out. It's as if she doesn't see the werewolf kids as actual students. She's putting the stress of a conflict between ENTIRE RACE OF STUDENTS onto 1 teacher just because he's the same race as them.
I really wish the racism towards werewolves and meif'wa was touched on more, because it is driving me insane

Annabell: Huh? You're both asexual? But how do you guys experience intimacy and love together?
and it cuts to Hunter giving Keori a massage after she popped her back during stretches
My own little theory/fun little thing to think about for the fruit of knowledge is that it was salvia. I know realistically, the fruit probably no longer exists, but in theory, salvia would be FASCINATING to be depicted as the fruit of knowledge.
If you don't understand why, look up some salvia horror stories. They are intense. There are people who had hallucinations that they lived out their entire LIVES, had families, got married, watched loved ones die, they themselves died, only to wake up and be mind broken that none of it was real.
That would be an insanely interesting depiction for the fruit of knowledge imo!
I fully believe that Keori and Hunter are an asexual couple tbh
I love it when Aphmau does a series with a brand new cast of characters
At first, I thought Dante changing from the very definition of loyalty in MCD to a playboy pervert in MyStreet was terrible, horrible character assassination and I hated it. But the more I've thought about it, the more I'm disappointed that that wasn't expanded on! Because Dante's difference in personality ties back to one crucial difference in their lives. Gene. Gene is in MyStreet Dante's life, not MCD Dante's.
So now I wish they expanded on how MyStreet Gene corrupted Dante to become who he is! Because it is interesting
