Might as well do this to. Megaman “Rock” the og himself. I like him of course. You’re talking to a megaman fan here. The story of the games mainly consist of Dr. Wily constantly being the man behind plans of world conquest but does have it’s moments, Megaman 4 for an example. Design wise, it’s a good way to start off robotics with humans in the timeline. Megaman X the father of all reploids. I also like him. It can be criticized that the game’s story uses the same plot like the series predating X, only it’s with a reploid named Sigma and that the stakes are higher involving war. I mean if the formula works before, why try fixing something that still works. Robotics focuses more on making the ai to be more like humans rather than programmed to serve a function. Zero the crimson hunter. His story is rather a tragic one, starting off from the X series. It’s got that 2000s edge vibe... and I love it. The lore is also intriguing with dark topics like genocide and war’s effect throughout the years. Robotics has evolved to where they are looking like humans but not quite yet to match human looks. Vent/Aile and Grey/Ashe the future generation of Megaman. The zx series is my all time fav. I guess it’s mainly because of me being a Nintendo DS kid. Vent and Aile aren’t really that much different as characters, heck even wearing the same clothes. Their difference mainly is seen in gameplay but it’s still not enough to fully show their differences. Grey and Ashe on the other hand have actual differences in their story as well as character design. I love all 4 protagonists but Vent is the favorite. Robotic wise, humans and robots finally reach the point where they are one of the same in looks. I honestly think this is where the evolution should end. Megaman Volnutt the young treasure hunter. Now... I haven’t played Legends. I never owned a nintendo64 or a PS1 but this series does have a legendary reputation (no pun intended) and for good reason. I will admit that I do like Volnutt. His design is good and mainly enjoy playing as him in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Now this is where robotics with humans canonically ends, to the point where a new race is made called the Carbons. Megaman .EXE with Lan Hikari the virus busting duo and Geo Stelar the hero with no father. I don’t really have that much experience with the Battle Network timeline. I’ve only played Battle Network 3 and 4 but I haven’t played a starforce title so I can’t really give my thoughts on them. It’s an alternative time.
