~ modificare has approached
Eilonwy pulled her cloak tighter around her thin form as she and her horse, Celer, strode through the dense trees, hoping to find a place to shelter them from the pouring, evening rain. By this point they were both exhusted and soaked to the bone.
The woman leaned forward in her saddle and patted the white mare’s neck,“A little further, Celer. Then I promise we’ll rest.”
As they made their way through the trees, Eilonwy spotted lights in the distance and upon approached, she found stumbled upon a massive castle, “Bless.” she whispered to herself, urging the mare forward before dismounting at the heavy door and knocking, hoping someone might be awake still.
Audible knocks unexpectedly resound through the massive fortress; unseen sound waves hastily bounce from immovable wall to immovable wall. Feminine appendages unhurriedly place distance 'tween themselves and the corners of frangible pages comprising a treasured volume. 'tis only natural for such an unforeseen arrival to abruptly spawn unconcealed intimations of bewilderment within cocoa optics. Once removed from the comfortable embrace of her ever inviting chair, tentative steps are placed in the direction of the room's single door.
Surely no more than ten minutes manage to stroll on by before the true source of these nearly startling sounds is successfully revealed to the perplexed guardian. Ironically, this unignorable feeling of authentic confusion is strengthened the moment untamed locks as red as the insatiable tongues that unceremoniously dance from their place on the hearth upstairs and eyes as striking as swaying tides acquaint themselves with coffee tones. An unforgettable name almost slips past nude lips, but is forced to vanish as the circumstances surrounding this encounter have already spotlighted the fact that this visitor is not her offspring.
