ARK JOURNALがキュレーションを手掛けるRoyal Copenhagenの巡回展 Tailored Heritage にスプーンがディスプレイ使用されました。
こんな光栄なことはもう人生でないんじゃないかなと思いました。
関係者の皆々様ありがとうございました。
今回発表されたテーラードヘリテージシリーズは、全て手作業の絵付けがされています。わたしが特に気になったのはお皿のシリーズでした。お皿中心部分にイニシャルやシグネチャーエンブレムを加えて自分だけのオリジナルのお皿を購入することができるのです。お皿中心部分は昔は家紋を表す重要な部分だったそうです。250年の歴史があるロイヤルコペンハーゲンだからこそ、現代では、そこに自分のイニシャルが手描きで描かれるって特別感ありすぎてドキドキしますよね。
どれも洗練されているのにこうやって飾ったら・使ったら素敵じゃないかな〜とイメージできる余白がちゃんとあって、誰かの手の中にあるべきシリーズだと思いました。

My spoons were featured in the Royal Copenhagen traveling exhibition, "Tailored Heritage."
I thought to myself, "This might be the greatest honor of my life."
Thank you to everyone involved.
The Tailored Heritage series unveiled this time features entirely hand-painted designs.
The plate series particularly caught my eye.
You can purchase your own original plate by adding initials or a signature emblem to the center of the plate.
Apparently, the center of the plate used to be an important area for displaying family crests. Because Royal Copenhagen has a 250-year history, having your initials hand-painted there in modern times feels so special it makes my heart race.
While every piece is sophisticated, there’s just enough blank space to let you imagine how lovely it would look displayed or used—it’s a series that truly belongs in someone’s hands.
