i see people on tiktok complaining about davekat/gamtav fans harassing whoever doesn’t like the same ships as them, but, - and this might just be a huge coincidence - since i joined the fandom in 2024, i’ve only ever seen hate towards davekat and gamtav (and some vriska/eridan ships as well), so…? where are these people that are supposedly harassing you to this day?

this isn’t meant to be hate towards people who don’t ship davekat and gamtav, as i think shipping wars are stupid and a frustrating presence in fandoms, it really isn’t that deep. but if x fan was toxic and just so happened to like a certain ship, it doesn’t mean you should associate every fan of that ship with them - which should technically be the bare minimum?
