Happy Vernal Equinox and a Blessed Ostara to all! Spring has sprung and my nephew and I made a garden cake to celebrate! Veggie sculptures made out of fruit chews, sunflowers made out of slivered almonds with a little yellow food coloring and some chocolate Jimmy's sprinkles, pirouettes as the fence, Nana helped make the green buttercream as the grass/nests, and there are some starburst jellybeans for pizazz! This creature, my pride, my joy, has given me so much joy and so much love and continues to unconditionally. Shade is my pet, but she's more than that. We went to the vet just two weeks ago thinking there was nothing to be done. I was sure we would be bringing her body back and she would be no more, but after some tests, we learned she has slightly elevated thyroid levels, now we are equipped with meds and the hope that she can continue to live a long and *healthy* life. However, the vet said nothing about the meds fixing the picky eating. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #catrules #mymuse #lovehersomuch #seniorcat #seniorcatsofinstagram Also if anyone has suggestions on how to gently detangle mats and/or most gentle combs/brushes for her thick short hair, that'd be appreciated.
