“ Pardon my laughter. I just can’t help myself when this happens. Here, let me ease your worries. “ Bending down, his index finger extended towards the rather intimidating—-looking eight legged creature ( one he could easily recognize as nothing more than a Wolf Spider, who appeared on to be on the smaller side ). Long, hairy legs brushed itself oh so delicately against the index finger in front of it. Gentle coos came from the owner of the finger as the spider crawls up the rest of the appendage, all the way towards his shoulder. Its eight beady eyes stared at the one who dared yell and almost step on it. At least, that was how it felt.
“ It looks like you stepped over this little man’s home. These little fellows love to burrow and stay hidden under leaf piles. He didn’t mean to scare you—————– in fact, you seemed to scare him more. “
“ Oh dear. I hate to be nosy, but, I’ve picked up that title before. The build up is not quite worth the rather lack luster ending. “ Not that he would say more, but when it came to literature, he did find himself to be of a good word when it came to critiques of written works. The spiders often found him new works to entertain himself when he was in his own domain. Fiction and non-fiction were nary a preference: learning about the expansive world around his lonesome manor was a treat, regardless of the other worlds’ realities or the fantasies they weaved to escape it. Legs that were crossed over one another move back to both feet now flat against the hardwood floor.
Taking a sip of his drink, his eye met with the gaze from the stranger.
“ Apologies———- I’m not one to keep my lips shut when a thought passes through my mind. I hope I did not completely disturb your time with my comment. “

DUCK :
✦—⟨ He’s recoiling in DISGUST. ⟩ ゚・ °☆.。 — ❛ Was that in your MOUTH this WHOLE time ? ! ❜
Laughter erupts from painted lips, as if being asked a query as idiotic as is this world’s sky blue. The Black Widow perched on his nose extended one of her legs, seemingly pointing it towards the bird before him.
“ It seems so. Augustine likes to do that. She’s an odd one that way. She truly scares me-------------- can you imagine how horrible I would feel if I accidentally bit her? The poor dear would surely die! Or at the very least, get herself very hurt! She doesn’t quite like me leaving home for too long. “

“ Excuse me, but do you have the t——–? “
Cue a Black Widow just crawling out of his mouth and up to his nose. He sighs.
“ Augustine. We’ve talked about that. As I was asking———, “
