As a person that lives on the Gulf coast….. if you are in the wake of IDA - GET OUT NOW! I personally am on a very high alert. If this storm moves even 20-30 miles east - I am in trouble. If any of my followers out there are in LA, MS, AL and the panhandle of FL - get out!!! Do it now! I have no doubt she may be a cat 5 before tomorrow ends and she’s going to hit at high tide. It’s been 15 years since Emily Kate Robertson was abducted, raped, beaten and murdered by John Snyder. 15 fucking years….. it feels like yesterday

Like yesterday her mom Helen answered the phone for me sobbing “my baby girl Liz!!! MY BABY GIRL!!”

I’ve gone on to lose Kate’s mom and dad. It hasn’t been easy. It never is. Every year at this time… my heart stops. My eyes cry and my head remembers all too much.
