throw back to last october...missing these good times a lot.
Sometimes I remind myself that I almost skipped the party, that I almost went to a different college, that the whim of a minute could have changed everything and everyone. Our lives, so settled, so specific, are built on happenstance.

Peace is within oneself to be found in the same place as agitation and suffering. It is not found in a forest or on a hilltop, nor is it given by a teacher. Where you experience suffering, you can also find freedom from suffering. Trying to run away from suffering is actually to run toward it.

work in progress...phew this is more challenging than I thought.
If you’re with her and wish you were elsewhere then leave. One of the cruelest things you can do is make a person feel like home when to you they’re only temporary.

I don't like to admit it but sometimes I get really discouraged when I think about my art. I look at all the artists on instagram and I see how they have thousands of followers and get thousands of notes on every piece of art they upload. And then there is me, no followers, no likes, nobody even notices me. People say it's not about followers and likes. I agree. All these years I've been on tumblr and instagram I didn't care about that stuff at all. But now that I am becoming more serious about my art and am trying to establish myself as an artist the lack of attention makes me doubt myself and my work. Is my art really that bad? Do I suck that much? I guess the answer is yes for now. I do suck. I need to get better.
